This time, however, we brought our kids along too. In 2021, my wife did an encounter that included shaking hands/flippers with a dolphin, rubbing their back as they swam by, and performing a couple basic training signs. For this trip, we each did the Memory Maker Meet encounter, which included the shaking hands/flippers and back rub, but most importantly, having a dolphin paint us a picture. We each chose two colors and held a canvas out while a pair of dolphins (Reese and Louie on that day) took turns spinning around with paint brushes in their mouths painting the canvases. It was very much worth the time and extra cost. Throughout the day there are opportunities included even with basic admission to watch training sessions or learn about caring for dolphins. You can very easily have a fun day and support a great cause at the same time.

Today, I just tried Ashtanga Yoga with Christy and that was one of the best yoga sessions I've had in a long time. The gift shop is full of carefully-curated and beautiful wellness products. There's also red light therapy upstairs and other fun events planned. I've heard only good things about massages and other treatments. Highly recommend!

Just had my 2nd cup of dark roast coffee of the morning and was ready to burn off some unwanted calories. There is no escaping the charismatic employee at the check-in desk only a few feet from the entry doors. While the employee was explaining the membership payment options, I noticed only a handful of members working out in the modestly sized gym with an excellent selection of Cybex machines, which is a dominate brand with fitness gurus. Based on the few pieces of equipment, I would be able to make due for a one hour workout, but was shocked by the high priced $25.00 day pass. An option would be $99.00 per month if a yearly membership is secured. I guess no gym workout for me today and will have to accept 15k steps today while window shopping instead.

I signed up online, for three classes, every other day and enjoyed every minute. The setting is serene in a lush but clean shaded jungle garden out back of a beautiful house with a water feature providing soothing sound energy. Victoria and Lauren were excellent teachers. I recommend both. My last class had a much smaller number of students so Lauren kindly took a little time to provide input on the poses so I can improve. I am enjoying this yoga journey filled with learning, meditation, flexibility, strength and positive vibes. Life is good with Yoga Sanctuary!

Each year, I've tried to purchase a size large T-shirt, but they're always sold out. This time, I called a month in advance and asked to have one set aside for me. Alex kindly agreed, put my name on it, and assured me it would be there when I arrived. However, when I went to pick it up, the manager informed me that it had been sold anyway. I'm extremely disappointed by how this was handled. The manager seemed indifferent, which only added to my frustration. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable representing this gym, and I won't be giving them my business moving forward. It's unfortunate, as I have a lot of nostalgia tied to training there. I just wish the management had handled the situation more professionally.
