Very nicely built after the fire. The event was catastrophic but atleast this beautiful park came from it.

Happy Earth Day Yelpers!…read more I love discovering my local area and what better way to do that then go on a walk with my dog to a park I haven't been to before. I went on a drive having my eyes set on my usual park until I drove by Julliard park. I will say finding parking was a bit of a maze since I accidentally entered a neighborhood. But once I did find parking, I decided to walk through the park and was amazed of how nice and tranquil it is. Beautiful benches with artwork on them. I couldn't help but stop and look at them all. The grass was nice and green and ready for my dog and I to trek. There's also a bocce ball court for anyone that loves to play bocce ball! There was a nice little bridge I walked on that had a great view of the park as well. I walked the whole park and it was a great workout. I proceeded to walk the rest of art district and found an alley that had a mural within it and it was beautiful. I haven't walked here and taken time to come to this part of Santa Rosa, but it definitely won't be the last time I come through to check it out.

On my trips, I love to spend lots of time walking and exploring outside. This park is beautiful, a…read moregreat place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. It connects to the river paths and is a quick walk to downtown. They have ponds for ducks around, plus community garden plots, large grassy areas, and a bocce court & club, plus picnic tables and other amenities. I loved the redwoods and flowers throughout, it's clearly well cared for.

This park is great for walking your dog birdwatching having a nice, relaxing lunch, etc. The bathrooms are very rundown, but they're usually somewhat clean and always open. We had our daughter's first birthday here. It is a very nice place for a party, especially since we live so very close by but all the rules the city has now made it very difficult and they keep upping the prices for renting the area so we won't be doing that again but it was worth it at the time and a great time was had by all.

Dont be that guy and let your dog do a dukie on the field. Actually, don't be that guy and not even pick up after your dog at all. There are tennis courts and when I came, it seemed to look like there was a little dog park happening in the tennis court area? Not sure if that is a regular thing ? It seemed like it was. There are 2 great play structures for your kiddos to romp and play (see my attached pics) I felt very safe with my son on the equipment for the smaller structure. Not many trees or shade here at this park. There are bathrooms but are unclear if they were opened or not ? I know in summer during games they are. Not sure about the off season? There was caution tape around them.

The walkway towards one entry of the dog park was flooded through during my visit, but there's another entry after crossing a bridge. I loved that the dog park was filled with tanbark so the dogs doesn't get muddy. There wasn't any benches, but there were several mismatched lawn chairs for people to sit. Half the dog park was shaded by trees and the other half was nice and sunny. The fall atmosphere was really pleasant.

But that place was closed on this particular Saturday. As we walked through the park, there was a lot of overgrown grass and weeds, but my puppies liked all the smells! As we walked further back towards the dog park area, there was a great little pond and a little waterfall that sounded whimsical and beautiful except I noticed it was all runoff water! Lol I'm not too sure what that does within the sewer system or maybe it was a clean drain pipe, but it looked a little off to me or dirty? Lol. Nevertheless, my dogs like the area and when we got to the dog park, there were three different entrances. I didn't realize that at the time, and we walked in the entrance closest to us once we crossed the bridge. That was covered with hay, which sadly I'm allergic to, and my throat was closing as we walked towards the back where the Half of the dog park was closed due to mud. Guessing they put hay over the entrance by the front because it was muddy, but goodness! My dogs like the area and they're paused. Did get a little muddy, but they didn't really find any friends although there were a number of different dogs there and cute little community circles! People seem to know each other since this park is in a local neighborhood and I'm sure they walked from the neighborhood. Not sure if we'll go back to this dog park. Maybe when it's not raining, so I don't die from the hay. Lol.

Most importantly, tons of bathrooms. Usually, this place is packed with all sorts of parties, jumpy houses, overly-sugared children, and loud music. But if it's a nice cold and windy day like today, you won't need to send out anyone at 8am to hold a good spot. But generally, if you need a relatively flat place to air out children so they can tire themselves out and don't mind a little cacophony, this is your place.

(the gazebo area costs more) Book at least 2 months in advance. Seriously. Who knew space is prime here at SR? Our spot was next to the tennis courts and a bunch of homeless people snoozin under the tree, and the trek to the bathroom was about a mile away, but hey our party was hotter than theirs.
