Too many issues to list, but…read morethe highlights (lowlights): charged $ for services they didn't perform (like wheelchair maintenance, which I eventually did myself), charged extra $ for *not* doing the things they already charged $ for, didn't notify me when he was taken to the hospital, or had multiple falls, etc. etc. When you're looking for a place for a relative/loved one, it's all, "we're a family run business and we will treat your loved one like a family member". Once somebody is in their facility, it's all about the accounting/billing, and nickel-and-diming you to death. Except it wasn't nickels and dimes, more like $20's and $50's. I eventually moved him to another place that doesn't price gouge like this place does. I have never regretted that decision, not even once.

And I know what you're thinking, maybe Amanda isn't that good, that's why she didn't have a wait? Nothing could be further from the truth- she was incredible! Totally supportive, a fantastic listener and a compassionate partner in my postpartum journey, Amanda was an incredible guide to building strength for life. I'm seriously grateful for Amanda and her amazing team- from reception to the athletic trainers who work with you, everyone was so positive and supportive. Getting back my body after giving birth was hard- I am so fortunate I got to work with Amanda to make it even just a little bit easier. They are friendly, professional, and competent and the facility is maintained very well. The cost is really very reasonable in comparison to other facilities. We looked at facilities that had a bit more of a high end look and upscale furniture and decor of the lobby but Garden Manor is still very nice. My Dad determined that fancy furniture in the lobby of some of the "high end" places was going to cost him an additional $18000 a year. Regardless of cost, Emeritus seemed to us to provide care as good if not better than what we would expect anywhere else at any cost. I would like to add that if you are considering an assisted living facility for yourself or a family member most people considering that change are reluctant to accept it. I have moved two relatives into Assisted living facilities, both into Garden Manor. Both people were very reluctant at first and had a laundry list of things that they were sure they wouldn't like about it. Both of those people, after they lived there for a while completely came around. They didn't just accept it they came to love it. The camaraderie with the other residents is amazing. There are always people with similar life experiences close by to talk to with. The closeness with the other residents and the staff creates a very inviting environment that make it a place people like to call home. The general security and nurse on staff fosters a sense of security. And the choice of having the facility see that all medications are kept up to date and taken properly (an add-on service that is pretty expensive) but that consistency can make remarkable improvements in health and awareness and may be worth the expense. It was for my Dad.

The staff overall has been top notch, from the doctors, nurses and certified nursing assistants to the physical/occupational therapists and administrative team. The facility itself is lovely and clean, and the food is consistently excellent--lots of menu choices to suit every diet. I'd like to give a particular shoutout to the nursing staff whose care is always accompanied by a smile, including Shay, Thanh, Sintayehu, Raj, Krishna, Kevin and Dennis; and the amazing physical and occupational therapists who are providing the literal wind beneath my wings: Robbie, Wanda, Pat and Aidan. I honestly don't know what I would have done without their care and encouragement. I still have a way to go, but all of these kind, smart folks have helped make my healing journey as pleasant as possible.

They worked mine,body with stretching the body out then pt's would work out your body some more!! The OT's would show you how to move with out hurting your self but how to do your job with out killing your self doing it. They didn't cure me I still have pain but they tot me how to breathe and get through the pain and to keep living but I couldn't have done it with out the team at RIW. If you put in a 110%you will get back a 110% Thank you for your understanding of my up and downs and giving me ways to get through it with out killing someone!!

My mother has dementia and my father was struggling as her condition progressed, to the point where he couldn't find time to research respite care. We all rallied, but even with all the help our family could provide, it wasn't enough. We we drowning. With a few sessions with ECN, we had a list of vetted facilities and a expert guidance on how to navigate Medicaid. My parents are now settled in an assisted living facility and my father has help with mom. I cannot thank them enough. Anyone who has tried to figure out dementia care knows how emotional and draining the process is. We couldn't have done it without Heather and ECN.

I was so traumatized by this that I opted to go without care for a period of time. I covered all of this with the office manager who was very supportive and reassuring. ...Until I tried to go back. The office manager's phone was on permanent voicemail requesting that I call an alternate number, at which point I was told I had to jump through hoops. When I questioned this, I was told, very coldly, that it was "company policy." Shabby, shoddy, unprofessional treatment.
