Visit Date: April 14, 2026 I went to CoHo because it's in my LI Cafe Passport book that I got for Christmas from my co-worker. I had the peanut butter mousse cake for lunch and the caramel macchiatto. When I first sipped it I felt like the caramel had a slightly tingy flavor but it went away after the first sip and I still felt like the drink was good. The peanut butter mousse cake was so good, it had a lot of peanut butter flavor which I love. I had a good experience here the staff was friendly and helpful and it was also a nice weather day so I was able to sit in their outdoor seating and hang out and enjoy the weather. Super cozy with plenty of tables. A couple of people were hanging around working on laptops. Other small groups sitting and enjoying their beverages. I liked how there was also countertop seating. I loved the Christmas decorations! My regular coffee was burnt and/or extremely bitter. I had to throw half of it out. Rainbow cookie was very subpar. read more

As a coffee snob, I am not exaggerating in the slightest, this was the worst coffee I've ever had. Took myself and my teenaged grandchildren here before a nice brunch while we waited for our table, the atmosphere was youthful and there were neon lights that did take some adjustments, music was quite loud. The lady at the front was clearly occupied with other orders so we had to wait for our drinks. We all got different coffees, lattes, cold brew, and iced coffee. All HORRIBLE. They all tasted burnt and rotten, almost as if they just kept brewing the espresso over itself. No flavor and left a bad taste in our mouth. And not for nothing, they use sugary fake pump syrups but try to come off as a luxury coffee house. We threw the drinks out without even getting past 3 sips. Gave 2 stars because we didn't try the food, could be potential there but I won't be back to find out. Go somewhere else if you're looking for an actual consumable beverage. read more

We stumbled to this coffee house as we walked along the strip coming from a nearby shore visit . I noticed that few are hanging out with their laptops running on a Sunday ? Seems like this is locals favorite wifi friendly social networking spot. The place offers more than your favorite coffees and teas, speciality drinks are listed on their menu board. Sweets, deserts , other quick bites are posted on its list as well. There is nothing cozier than sitting in this friendly house with a cup of your hot drinks and sweet desserts with nobody watching you and rushing your stay. Enjoyed my hot tea and my blueberry muffin. Location is close to other popular store retail favorites. A great stop over while in the neighborhood. read more

I found this coffee shop while walking Main Street in Patchogue. It was very busy, with a bunch of tables inside and a few outside. I really enjoyed trying their beans, which they offered in a ton of different flavors. The employees were very friendly and recommended great options. After many years I tried CoHo in Patchogue again. I was really hoping I could get behind a local coffee shop. Unfortunately, both experiences were very similar. The basics...the coffee tasted burnt, the rainbow cookies tasted like the inside of the refrigerator, we ordered 3 different types of hot beverages and none of them were hot, there was clutter all over the store and the bar seating counter they have. This place is always packed and we sat and watched people flow in and out of this place like it was something spectacular. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, it seemed clean, and had different types of seating to accommodate different seating preferences. They also offer a variety of pastries and baked goods as well as free water. I don't understand the hype behind this place and I don't understand the amount of foot traffic considering it is expensive, doesn't taste good, and takes forever, for food that is subpar and coffee that isn't even hot. Me and my wife happen to stumble into this place as we just came from a nearby shore front. The coffeehouse has a warm, cozy, and welcoming ambiance, conducive for relaxation and social interaction. Has good comfortable seating. Upon looking at the overhead menu and pastry display case, they are offering beyond coffee, they offer a good selection of teas, smoothies, lattes and light meals that complement the beverage menu. My wife and I opted for a hot green tea, blueberry muffin and a banana-nut loaf. The tea tasted fresh with leafy-green flavor and has a subtle sweetness in it. The banana-nut loaf was moist, dense, has a delicate sweet banana-cinnamon flavor which is complemented by crunchy nuts in it, delicious. Staff service was very friendly and exceptional, well-informed of the products and goods that they are offering. As I was visually observing around, the place looks like a preferred gathering place for locals. Price is fair and the joint was clean. This coffee shop provides a positive experience through its relaxing simple ambiance, quality drinks, and fresh light food. So, if you happen to be in Patchogue, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Going here almost every day for a few months now and I have to call it. The same drink will be $5 one day and $7 the next, depending on who's ringing it up. Asking for clarification doesn't help. There is a huge consistency issue in the taste of the speciality drinks also depending on who's brewing. Too many times there's a bitter, burnt taste. It's a shame because I love the atmosphere, it's dog friendly, they do great work with lots of charities, staff is friendly, and it's only a few minutes walk from home. But at the end if the day I can't justify it. In the last month, maybe eight or nine drinks taste undrinkably burnt despite being loaded up with sugar and syrups. Finally decided this weekend it's time to go somewhere else. read more

We've been in a few times, sometimes we've tried to pop in and it's been too crowded with no where left to sit so we've left. IMO if you're just grabbing and going then you may as well go to Starbucks for a known product where you can easily drive through verses struggling to find parking anywhere nearby at this place. Today there was a table so we ordered lite bites and drinks. The bathroom was kind of gross and in need of attention. The main floor needed sweeping and the place was begging for a general straightening out in the early afternoon. During lulls in the action they really should be addressing the cleanliness but were instead fiddling on their phones. It's a nice vibe when you can sit and relax but a cleaner environment would go a long way in my book. read more

This is such a cozy spot! I came here with a friend to grab a cup of Joe. Not only do they have your typical coffee drinks, but they have boozy coffee too! Can't go wrong with that. There's also a variety of pastries that looked so good. I saw they have sandwiches that are offered starting at 11am. There was ample seating, and the chairs were very comfy. I would definitely come here and work for an hour or so. For my beverage today I had a vanilla latte with almond milk. It was a little sweeter than I would've liked, but it wasn't terrible! I would order again, but ask for less sweet. I really liked this little spot and I will frequent more often. read more

This is a cute little coffee shop in Patchogue. Whether you need a quick morning pick me up or a little stronger liquid courage. They have lots a menu option for even the pickiest coffee connoisseur. The barista were helpful with their recommendations. I had the snowflake chai and raspberry and mocha were a nice addition. My husband had the snow angel latte and my kids had the regular hot chocolate and white hot chocolate. We all enjoyed our drinks to the last drop. I went here to meet a new friend and fell in love with it as soon as I walked it. It was very rustic and the prices were good. I loved all the rough cut wood on the walls as well. It's a skinny place but it was able to seat a lot. There was a handful of two seated tables on the other side of the coffee bar and in the back there were a few four seated tables and one family styled table. There was this railing to 'separate' the family styled table from the rest of the place. When I got there I ordered this lemon ginger tea with honey and it tasted really well. My friend ordered decaf coffee and she said it tasted good. There were two downsides of Thai place, which I guess one wouldn't really be considered that big of a downside. My friend and I got a two seated table and I was facing the front of the coffee shop and I could barely see her with our bright it was outside. There was no type of drape to cut the brightness down. Which made the place look darker than it originally is. The other downside is that the bathroom is down this long hallway all the way at the way at the end of it. I'll definitely be looking at coming back here though. The service was quick. read more

I remember when this place was the bean. Coho seems to have made a few changes and obviously the new owner rebranded. I like that the rebranding has a more modern feel. My friend and I stopped in for some lattes and baked goods. I tried the almond joy latte with soy milk and it was fantastic! A really unique taste but delicious! I also tried banana bread which was good but a bit too dry in my opinion. Atmosphere is great but I still have an issue with lighting here as I did with the bean. This spot used to be the Patchogue bean but has been UPGRADED! The funky monkey coffee was so good (chocolate and banana mmm) I can back again today to have it! Not pictured was my HUGE crossing that was so so buttery and flaky, it was a little hard BUT the taste was there regardless and bread is bread, I see it and im happy. This is one of my new favorite coffee shops. Plenty of parking in the back and they're open pretty late! Highly recommend this spot. It's a little dark but they offer lamps and I loved the music and service provided. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot! read more

Cute and chic coffee shop. It IS a bit dark inside so I can't imagine I'd have a good time working here for an extended period of time. I saw that the shelf had a lot of baked goods and they all looked really yummy. I tried a chocolate chip scone and it was pretty good. It was quite large and crumbly and not that sweet. The iced coffee with milk and sugar was also very refreshing and not super sweet either. My spouse also liked it. I also thought it was nice you can click on a charity of your choice on the tablet and the coffee shop will donate $0.10 to that charity! read more

I don't understand the good reviews. I tried it once a couple years ago and recently gave it a second try having pretty much the same experience. As for recently, we ordered and they asked what we wanted two times over. Both times they repeated back something completely wrong. The biggest issue is the quality given. The pastries and drinks were terrible. The cookie scone was stale as can be. I can't believe they would sell it in that state. It tasted as if it's been sitting there for more than a week. Similar with the loaf which was extremely dry and stale. For drink I got a latte which was quite watery. We also got the fresh pressed juice I am Ironman. The person I was with described the taste as " pure dirt". Very disappointing because it seems many people stay for a long time to do work or study. I learned my lesson twice. read more

Quick shout out to the place that use to be "The Bean". This is a great place to work out of, which is what I usually do when I come out to my parents so they can spend time with the kid. I usually get the berry unsweetened ice tea and some sort of dessert. The desserts are pretty consistent between their cookies and their different breads I've had. What's really exciting is they have lunch sandwiches now. The tuna wrap I had previously was no frills but it hit the spot. Today they had a creamy tomato chicken orzo soup in a bread bowl. Massive chunks of chicken were in this delicious and hearty soup. There are ample spots to work from but this place does get very busy. There is also a small outdoor area where you can sit as well. The staff is warm and welcoming. Bathroom is usually very clean and there is also a printer that you can print from if needed. One of the very few cafes that actually gives an environment of productivity. read more

This place is ridiculously dark--like a seedy dive bar I once stumbled into in Grand Rapids, MI. Flat-screen TVs only display the menu, as if you'd want to stare at that for long. Don't bother with the WiFi either; it's trash. This spot took over for Bean and seems to have recycled pretty much everything, including the mediocrity. There's this neon red "socially good coffee" sign in the back - reminds me of the Kenny Rogers sign from Seinfeld. Try not to stare at it too long or it'll screw up your "rods and cones". The food? Shipped in from a couple of spots on Long Island. Nothing is made fresh here. The breakfast sandwiches sit under a heat lamp--who knows for how long? Not that you'd want one anyway; they're overpriced and slapped onto this terrible potato bread. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to literally any other spot. Goldbergs won't disappoint. The coffee is painfully average, and even the basics will set you back $5. Sure, the staff is friendly, but for $5-6 for a medium regular coffee, what else would you expect? A Black Hole of Disappointment (Literally) If you've ever fantasized about sipping espresso in a crypt, congratulations--CoHo has nailed the vibe. Walking into this coffee shop feels less like a caffeine run and more like a dare to navigate the ninth circle of hell. The lighting is so dim I'm convinced the owner bought all their bulbs from a haunted funeral home liquidation sale. I couldn't see the menu, my companion's face, or my own hands--though honestly, losing sight of my $7 latte might've been a blessing. The atmosphere? Imagine a library where every book is titled "Why Joy is Illegal." The chairs are designed to punish posture, and the only decor is a single dying succulent that probably writes its own last will daily. When I asked for a splash of oat milk, I half-expected them to hiss and dissolve into smoke. And the coffee? It tasted like someone filtered ditch water through a gym sock. But who needs flavor when you're too busy squinting? My Scone arrived with the texture of a fossil and a mystery jam that I'm 80% sure was forged in the void. At one point, I mistook a fellow customer for a coat rack and apologized--they didn't respond. Either they were a mannequin or CoHo's gloom had sucked their soul out. The only light source was a single flickering touch lamps on the table, which I'm pretty sure was just there to mock us. By the end, I tripped over a stool I never saw, spilled my cup of despair, and fled into daylight like a vampire escaping holy water. CoHo isn't a coffee shop--it's a sensory deprivation tank where hope goes to die. Bring a headlamp, a therapist, and a will to live. Or just brew at home. In a well-lit room. Like a human. I've been coming to CoHo Coffee Shop in Patchogue since before it was converted, and I have to say, the upgrades have made it even better! While one person mentioned not loving the dim lighting for extended periods of working, I personally find it gives the space a cozy and peaceful atmosphere--perfect for getting work done and putting on my thinking cap. There are quite a few coffee spots in the area, including Starbucks, but CoHo is by FAR my favorite. On one occasion, I made a special order (hot chocolate with a shot of espresso), and the owner not only made it perfectly but remembered my order every time I visited after that. I'm giving this location two stars because the staff was not very pleasant. This is my first time coming to this establishment. It was drawn in with the live DJ in the front playing great music my partner and I wanted to get a quick beverage as we waited for a reservation at a nearby restaurant, and we were unsure of the Process of ordering a drink. We saw a large table in the back of the restaurant that looks like a bar area so we had a seat, but the staff didn't acknowledge us at all. You're really confused. We figured after about 10 minutes plus that we had to get up and order a drink first and at that point our reservation was called the nearby restaurant. It'd be nice if the staff behind the counter Acknowledged you and asked if we needed help with anything we would've definitely mentioned that we wanted to order a drink and they could've explained how the process works in that establishment, but it was really confusing to have alcoholic bottles in a bar area and nobody servicing you. read more

the shop itself has a nice vibe & kinda instagramy. the coffee was so bad though very disappointing. the 3 of us all were thinking 'what is this?' none of them good. all tasted very watered down, bitter, and like a plastic cup. i got a vanilla iced coffee no flavor at all. barely almond milk in it. my friend got a coconut cream. nothing coconut or cream about it. we both asked if they could add more milk or any sort of flavor to ours. still tasted extremely pitiful. little flies on the cookies/ danishes out on display. 7-11 has better and that's saying a lot read more
