Been here several times now with nothing but great things to say. The food is fantastic along with the coffee. I'm a coffee snob and thought it was beyond delicious. My favorite coffee I've had so far had to be the spring latte with ube. I hope they never get rid of it. The interior is nicely designed and lets in a lot of light. It does get very loud in there at times but is easy to deal with. The baristas are so kind and helpful whenever you have a question. My friend and I each got a wrap and we're splitting and they gladly separated them both for us to make our lives easier. The port Jeff location is right down the block from my job and I will continue to come back!

Dark Horse Coffee & Kitchen is such a cute, cozy spot with incredibly friendly service. I ordered a hot decaf Americano with cold foam, 1 pump mocha, and 1 pump marshmallow, and it was honestly the best coffee I've had in a long time. My friend got an iced cappuccino, which she also loved. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff makes you feel comfortable right away. It's the kind of place where you can sit, relax, and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. The only downside is that it's not pet friendly, so Luna had to stay home this time -- but for the coffee alone, I would absolutely come back. Great drinks, great service, great vibe. Highly recommend!

Dark Horse is another eatery on Long Island that I have been missing out on. For about two years, this little spot has existed and I finally had the chance to check it out. I would say not to judge the location, as it is positioned in a small shopping center in Sayville. Yes, I would've passed by with a quickness, but nestled inside, is a unique gem that packs a punch with its flavors. I love the idea of two friends quitting their jobs to explore a new path and not only discovering that they could do it, but also thriving. Upon my first visit, I had the pleasure of trying the Salted Caramel Coconut Iced Latte and the Hot Honey Goat Burrito. I would recommend them both. The Latte was terrific. You could taste the coconut flavor shining through- next time I think I'll try it hot to compare, but if it's that good cold, hot must be amazing! The Burrito was exactly what I didn't know I needed. It was so good. The goat cheese didn't overwhelm the other flavors, each ingredient complemented the others. If you're sensitive to spice, watch out for the jalapeños! My husband and I enjoyed our time there and were very happy we could dine in. The crew was great, and the food was delicious! We'll definitely be back to try some more brunch items.

for a little store in a strip mall this place was packed. i got there about an hour before close and every table was full, there was a line of people standing waiting for orders too, it seems like business is very good. It seems like their target is an upscale cafe brunch type experience, very nice ambiance. they bring the food and coffee to you on a nice plate or plank if you choose to sit, and there were a bunch of couples at tables so it seems to be a popular date spot. prices are reasonable for the experience and overall it seems like a real hidden gem, worth a visit.

Hubby loves his shroom latte from here and always orders it. I've had their cappuccino and masala chai and ginger turmeric chai, all very good and we continue to return for these drinks. Service is very friendly.

Visited this coffee shop in Sayville & was impressed with the food & atmosphere & staff in the kitchen. The coffee menu was intriguing with variations to include a shroom latte & the breakfast options were great! The music was on point nice & soothing & the staff was super attentive, friendly & very welcoming.

Cute place, was pretty full when we got there but we were able to get a table. One thing I did not like was that the table was very sticky. Tumeric chai tea was good and the blueberry scone was very good. They bring your order to the table and service was with a smile .. just the table issue, I did wipe with my sanitizer but it was still sticky

Tried Dark Horse for the first time today and I was very happy with the service and quality of the food! The hot honey goat burrito might've been one of the best, well-crafted breakfast burritos that I've ever had. The drinks were all amazing and they have fun specials each month. Perfect place to go study/get some work done while enjoying the cafe ambiance. Will definitely be back soon!

One of our new favorite brunch spots! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. There are a few benches in front of the place to sit down and there are also many seats inside to enjoy your coffee and food . We ordered the Hot Honey Goat Burrito and the Chicken Caesar Wrap with a side of strawberry feta salad. What I love most about this coffee shop is that the food is fresh and not frozen food that's is microwaved. Would definitely recommend this place !

I've been several times now. They never disappoint. Food is consistently great coffee is great a little pricey but worth it because you can tell they use great ingredients. Hayley recommend I've tried multiple things on the menu and I've never disappointed.

Honestly one of our favorite spots to go grab coffee and a avocado toast. You gotta get that maple bacon on top too! The service is fantastic they serve you, clean the tables and are super friendly. The vibes are just coffee shop it's always a good time.

The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the lines can be long as the espresso machines are manual, producing a superior product in comparison to the national chain, but it can take some time when people are ordering Carmel Latte's and other specialized drinks in front of you. Sayville is lucky to have two independent coffee shops. I always prefer locally owned and managed. Give them a try, even if line appears long they manage to move people through fairly quickly.

Such a gorgeous, hidden gem vibe with plenty of seating whether you want the bar or a table. The food was genuinely unforgettable, we were still talking about it days later. If you love bold flavor with a little heat, this is your spot. We got the Bruschetta (grilled herb crostini, mozzarella, plum tomato compote), P.E.I. Mussels (chorizo, cherry pepper, riesling white wine), Wasabi Calamari (sesame crusted, spicy soy ginger sauce, wasabi aioli), Shrimp Mezze Rigate (pesto, sun-dried tomato, asparagus, breadcrumb, ricotta salata), and Cherry Pepper Pork (pounded, breaded, pan-fried, lemon cherry pepper sauce, melted parmesan, green beans, roasted potato), every dish was packed with flavor. Don't sleep on dessert either: a chocolate shell you crack open to reveal mousse inside, we were fighting to get the last bites! Bonus: they carry LI Salted Spirits cans and cocktails right at the bar, so you can keep the tasting going. Plenty of parking, super friendly staff, and a great spot for everyone. Highly recommend, ten out of ten!
