a cup of tea and a pineapple
    Vanessa W.

Interesting experience. The guy who helped us was very nice and informative. Taught us a bit about kava and other teas/drinks they offer. My husband I both ordered a double shot of the mild kava then one additional shot of the stronger kava called stone. Very different taste. Earthy, muddy and should probably be drank in 3-4 sips. Comes with a slice of pineapple which helps. We did feel the slight mouth tingling but little of the calming/euphoric effect. I'd be willing to try it again but only when we have some extra cash. We paid about $40 for the 3 shots each of kava tea. Which is the amount you see in my photo below along with another half cup which had the one shot. Atmosphere super laid back and great music playing. Different than they typical annoying Patchogue bar scene which alone will bring me back to Island Kava.

I can't believe I've never heard of this place before. It was so good. I ordered a special iced tea drink with CBD lemonade and white peach tea (pictured) and my girlfriend got a specialty drink with CBD lemonade and lavender tea. Will definitely be going back!

I'm one of their original customers from when they first opened several years ago. The original…read moreowner was awesome, hired cool people, they had a great variety of CBD flower, as well as non-smokeable goods. As for the past couple of years-can't say the same. Their prices have gone waaay up for flower and gummies. They lack variety in "medicated" snacks and drinks, yet keep expired ones on the shelf long past their due date. I pointed this out to one of the girls behind the counter and she responded "it's not open, so it's fine". This product was a homemade chocolate bar without preservatives-no it's not "fine"! They've changed the minimum purchase prices for both the stamp card and the spinning wheel. The stamp used be $30 but now it's $50, and the wheel used to be around $100, but now it's $200. My final problem with this place is the security guard. There's one guy who mans the door who abuses his authority. The last few times I've come in to see what I want to buy he sets a timer saying it's for 15 minutes for both "searching and purchasing". Every time he's done this is barked orders "you can't stand there kid!", "you gotta keep moving!", "stop touching and reading every product!" when all I've done is smell the samples, read the labels (because I have dietary restrictions, which I've explained to him many times!) and asking the girls behind the counter for a price when their isn't one on a package. He goes between "you have 5 searching minutes left and 2 purchasing minutes left", and "you have 10 minutes before I throw you out and call the cops!" during the same visit. I only spend 10 minutes here, there's no need to time me, especially since he doesn't time anyone else. Male version of a Karen! Mister Karen earlier today gave me an attitude as soon as I walked in to pick up my membership ID. Refused to give it to me because my NYS ID has expired. If that's the actual protocol, then that's fine, but I still expect to be treated professionally, not with passive aggressive eye rolls and having my answer being scoffed at! I don't recommend this place! Their location in Port Jeff is much nicer, has more variety, has better prices, and the guard at the door knows how to treat customers with respect.

We sat down and ordered drinks first. I had a passion fruit margarita which was good. We also ordered mango habanero wings which were also good. For the entree I had to try their steak Caesar wrap with fried sweet plantains. The steak was soft and juicy, and the Caesar salad was flavorful. The sweet plantains on the side just connected all the dots for me. Our server Kelly was friendly and genuine, and came to check on us to make sure everything was good. Considering this is where my brother met his wife, it was great to celebrate the moment where they first fell in love. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something new on the menu!

You can't go wrong with their varied meat Tray where you can pretty much order a little bit of whatever you want! The service is incredible and the prices are still reasonable, considering today's current market! The ambience is live and fresh! At night time, the drinks are flowing and this place packs out and has a crazy nightlife, dance vibe atmosphere! Always a fun place to hang out and Patchogue! What I always get... App: Gried yucca balls with cheese are incredible Entree: marinated skirt steak with fried green plantains, yellow rice and a steak with a perfect mailard! My husband likes to try different stuff so the last time we went there he got the beef tongue that was marinated in the sauce, which was tasty, but he took a risk getting the tongue! I have showed pictures to other South American people, and they say those parts of the tongue are supposed to be removed and skin off before serving so that made the texture a little bit weird especially for a first time who is open and trying everything! This is just a great all-around vibe chill spot with delicious food that doesn't break the bank! Highly recommend and bring your adventurous side!!!
