I love this place. So many toys and collectibles from the 80s to present. Nice selection of Pokemon sealed product, bulk, and singles. Some vintage, but mostly newer rares, ultra rares, and super art rares. Decent selection of Funkos. I would agree it's more a vintage toy store, than a coin store. Nice variety of Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Hot Wheels, Sports Cards, Pokemon cards, comic books. The staff was super friendly and helpful. read more

One of my favorite places to shop for old toys, knickknacks, and vinyl records. Just a slight warning, you find fewer coins and more hobby goods, and that's okay. Walking into this store is like walking into memory lanes to your childhood. They have tons of action figures, like He-Man, Thundercats, etc, old comics and magazines, Fisher-Price toys, and records. A lot of their 45s are sleeveless, but it's fine, if you dig long enough, you'll find a few gems that are in pretty good shape. I've been coming to this store since I arrived to Portland in 2006 and it's one of my favorite stores to visit when I'm in Oregon City. It's a collectors' dream. Check it out! read more

A family owned business since 1962, Coin Corner & Hobbies has it all. Although 'coin' is in their name, they have transformed into the most epic store for toy collectors galore. Such a plain name for such an interesting store! They need an exciting name such as retro toys, hobbies, games, music and much much more! - Old postcards -Old magazines from the 1930s - 1980s Such as; Look magazine, National Geographic, Time, TV guides etc. -Old Cassettes and Records -Old mugs with funny sayings -Old star wars toys, smurfs, and garfield etc. -old hot wheels and tons of other car books, magazines, and models. -old military collectables -some vintage clothing -old video game stuff - old movie posters. ....and much much more at sensible prices. This place is almost like a thrift store. There are some stacks of stuff you have to dig through, then there are parts of the store that are semi organized by theme. They don't focus on clothing and furniture. If it is old and weird, you may just find it here. read more

Utterly underrated. This is a card, coin, comic, toy, and assorted entertainment stuff store. It has the feel of an antique mall, but it's all under one ownership. Great murals, interesting selections and trips down memory lane, and very welcoming staff. I ended up buying some stuff just because I wanted to support the concept and in appreciation for how much fun it was to walk around. Prices are pretty reasonable all things considered, and partner and I will definitely go back. read more

Wow! That's a lot of creepy dolls in the window. But if you're looking for toys from your childhood or every Garfield item ever made, this is your shop. I agree with the other reviewers... you can spend hours here remembering playing with the items inside. Sprawling coins & collectibles shop with a wide variety of toys, collectibles, and vintage/antique housewares, decor, clothes, kitchen items & jewelry. The staff were very nice and helpful, too. Their pricing was fair and quite reaonable for the most part. Though I do think some of the Star Wars items were a bit overpriced compared to elsewhere or online. We collect a lot of Star Wars items so we are often looking in shops and online to know the average prices, but I get it...I understand Star Wars is getting a lot of attention again lately so that has some shops raising the prices on those as demand increases...that is just how it goes. Omg. Best store EVER! Went to visit the municipal elevator & happened to notice the window display of vintage Fisher Price toys. I just about fell over. After a long half hour wait for them to open at 10, I eagerly rushed in. All the fantastic vintage goodies- Star Wars, Smurfs, board games- what an absolute fantastic collection.... I bought four items today and was overcharged $2.00. Should have been more careful. Charged me $25.00 for items that were clearly marked. I guess they change prices as they go. Total should have been $23.00, found that out when I got home. No big deal I guess, but be honest to your customers. Won't be going back there anytime soon. Stumbled upon this place after visiting the elevator (think Space Needle on a budget). This place was a trip - so many items from my childhood and prices were very reasonable. While they certainly have coins and hobbies, about 75% of the store is devoted to toys (Hot Wheels, Star Wars, Cabbage Patch Kids, etc.).
