Just had our fence installed, great work!…read more A little more info: we went through Lowe's (or was it Home Depot, it was so long ago I honestly can't remember) back in April/May. We knew it was going to be a long wait, so we were happy when we got the email that it was finally our turn for install! The three guys that did our install were very professional and worked very hard. They were here during the hottest week of August, so I give them huge props for getting everything done. They did some small bush and tree removal before the fence install. They got rid of all the debris, left the yard in great condition when they left, and most importantly, the fence looks great! We have some other projects on our dreamboats - we will definitely be contacting them again for their help!

We started the process with some great conversations about what was on our Wish List vs. Must Have List. Barbosa Carpentry was booked for months, but it would take that long to source and receive everything for the project. We were going to hire a designer through one of the many kitchen stores in the area. We spent months visiting different showrooms and talking to designers, investigating what we liked and didn't like in other kitchens. When the time came, Udo suggested we save some money and let him be our designer. Again, another great decision. We took our time sourcing certain floors, quartz countertops, cabinet hardware and appliances. All the while, Udo Barbosa brought us multiple designs and talked through our likes/dislikes. It was a pleasant experience and Udo made sure that we stayed on budget. Once we signed the contract, Udo handled the Permits, ordering, deliveries, electrical, plumbing and demolition. He planned accordingly so that once the cabinets arrived, he would get started. Thoughtful planning and time management kept the project on time and within budget. Udo and his professional partner, Teddy, came daily for a month and handled everything with ease and professionalism. When there were surprises (like a vent pipe in the way), as is expected in any full gut, they worked through the issues together and came up with solid solutions. Udo listened to my questions along the way, and always explained any decisions he was making and why. The most surprising thing about our kitchen reno is that Udo made sure we had a working fridge, sink, and oven throughout the entire reno. I have never heard of being able to continue to use these vital instruments during a renovation. Udo kept our house tidy, accessible and safe (for us and our dog) during the process. As devastating as our February house fire was, our experience with Reliable Restoration and…read moreRecovery and its parent company, Construction Services of New Hampshire, was much worse. In five months, they did not complete the restoration and cleanup or offer us a contract to rebuild our home. When we hired another contractor to rebuild our house, we found out they had not been billing the insurance company or seeking advance approval for their work. The bill they sent the insurance company after we hired a contractor included work they had never done, including removing insulation from the basement, removing vinyl floor from the bathroom - it had a tile floor and they did not remove it - removing insulation from the basement, and removing a wood floor. Although they promised to return our belongings from storage, they twice reneged, holding on to our possessions for six weeks as leverage in their negotiations with the insurance company. Many items were returned without having been cleaned or damaged. We should have known better. The contract for the cleanup, demo, and storage gave no timeline, no list of services, and no prices; instead it put the obligation on the customer without guaranteeing anything. "Restoring peace of mind." Is an ironic motto.
