We have visited here in the past and no issues so since I was spending the night nearby I decided to order some pizza to take to my room. For my garlic bread I added to have a side of ranch and sauce. I also asked for some utensils. I did not get the ranch or utensils. Also I know I was few minutes late to the 30 minute window I was given for pick up but usually pizza shops keep your order on top of the pizza oven and my items were cold. If it was going to be less than 30 minutes they should update or have a tracker to your order. read more

Came home for a family reunion and we picked this spot to remember old times even though they are in a new building. Cheese sticks were fantastic. Calzone was spot on. Sunday, July 19th while in the Morgantown WV area decided to have dinner at Colasante's Ristaurante and Pub. I went on their website to see what interested me and fell in love with a photo of their Stuffed Banana Peppers with Italian Sausage. We drove over to the location and for about 6pm not very busy..went in and to our displeasure found it was a order at counter and grab a seat style dining. We prefer table service. I felt rushed trying to read menu over head. Several items I wanted they no longer served. She said recently changed menu and it was not reflected yet. So we went with small 10" Pepperoni and Cheese Pizza, a order of the Stuffed Banana Peppers and a order of Garlic Bread in a basket. We seated ourselves and placed our number on our table like directed. After about 15 minutes she brought out the Peppers and Pizza but no bread. She said she would be right back, but it was 15 minutes later... The pizza was okay, not the BEST but it was pizza, there was 4 slices and we left one behind. The Garlic Bread was late to the party but hot, fresh and good! The Stuffed Banana Peppers (which is why I went) was very disappointing! I was presented with Four Sliced open Peppers with Four Italian Sausage links laying sort of beside them with melted mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce...looked nothing like the advertising photo. The peppers were NOT STUFFED but sliced in halves long ways...very disappointed!! The sauce was good, the peppers were okay, they were a little al dente' for my taste and preference. The Italian Sausages were slightly spicy but again NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. $24 for dinner and left $3 in tip bucket where you order. I had lemonade and Tony had Budweiser. Nothing to brag about. Don't think I will be going back anytime soon. I recommend because you're experience might be better than ours. Nothing we ate left us craving a repeat performance!! Hope you like them!! read more

Firstly, ordering at the counter instead of a server coming to the table threw me off slightly, not a big deal just something to note. Terribly disappointing experience for our family. Out of 5 of us, not one was satisfied with their meal. The chicken for the chicken parm was a pressed chicken patty that had an awful mushy texture. This was placed on top of overcooked pasta that was in one giant clump on the plate. The steak salad was served as a bowl of iceberg lettuce topped with cold "steak-um" meat and even colder French fries. The chicken wings were not cooked properly and were still pink inside. Definitely not safe to eat. The pizza was extremely overcooked, yet served cold also. How hard is it to make and serve a decent pizza? We brought all of this to the server's attention, and she simply shrugged her shoulders and walked back into the kitchen. Colasante's really is a phoenix rising from the ashes. In the age of covid, they're one of the fastest sandwich places in town. I would recommend a meatball Italian hoagie with mixed peppers. Sandwiches come with fries, which is nice as that's fallen out of favor with many sandwich joints. You really get your bang for your buck. With the remodel, they've adapted and provide excellent food and service. They recently re-opened their dining room, as well. They're ticked away a bit in Westover, just after the triangle, and they're worth a stop. read more

I truly wish I could give zero stars. I was really hoping it would be good as it was not expensive and is not far from the WVU campus. After just a few bites I lost my appetite because of how bad the food was. I got a simple rigatoni with Alfredo sauce and even with the first bite there was a bitter after taste almost as if it was sour. I can definitely say throughout my next four years at WVU I will NEVER go to or recommend this place to anyone. Even my mother who is not AT ALL a picky eater did not like her food. Also it took me and my mother 5 minutes in the bathroom trying to get the soap dispenser to work before I gave up and used some hand sanitizer which leads me to believe that if employees use that bathroom they are not using soap to wash their hands. Just stopped here on a whim. There food was pretty good. The staff was very friendly. For the style of the restaurant it was VERY clean. Clean is very important to me when I am eating somewhere. We tried their wings ( hot and mild) both very good. They weren't slimey or dry. They had a nice crunch. The pizza was very good. It was a little on the greasy side. I recommend pepperoni over just cheese. The pepperoni had a lot more flavor. The menu was extensive and I am excited to try other items. read more

I have traveled a lot, all around the U.S., during my career. I have eaten at restaurants of all sizes, styles and cuisines. Big cities and little town from coast to coast. I can say without a doubt Colasante's makes and serves the most authentic and tasteful Italian food of anywhere I have been. Its a very comfortable atmosphere and the owners make everyone feel welcomed and wanted. The sports memorabilia that spans decades, is worth the trip. If you haven't been there, you are encouraged to try it; if you have been there you already know. Being a such relevant place to eat and a hallmark dining place in that area for 50+ years doesn't often occur unless its warranted. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in Morgantown. The quality of the food was extremely subpar, lacking in both overall flavor and appearance. I had the baked ziti and there was virtually no flavor besides the thin layer of melted cheese on top of the pasta. Additionally, there was no seasoning whatsoever and I have a strong suspicion that they don't even salt their pasta water. My main rule with restaurants is never eat somewhere that serves food that you can make better yourself at home. Point in case, I will never be coming back here. On a final note, two of my friends that ate with me got food poisoning, so that doesn't exactly strengthen the case for the restaurant either. read more

It started out bad for us and only got slightly better. First off, I'm not a fan of places where you order, then take a seat to be served. It's not fast casual. We must have had the new girl taking our order because she couldn't process the sale, then even though she read it back correctly, she had entered part of the order wrong. Then came the food: - stuffed hot pepper appetizer: 3 small peppers, with small sausage, but a good bit of sauce and lots of cheese. It was far hotter than expected. After taking everything off the peppers, I figured out why. Much of the veins and some seeds were still on the peppers. After scraping the veins, it was pretty good, but not really worth $9. Chicken noodle soup: this was terrible. It was a Luke warm, bland broth with uncooked shredded carrot. Seriously, don't get this. For any reason. Ever. Side salads: these were an ice burg lettuces, salad mix with a couple cherry tomatoes, onions, green peppers and some cheese. They were a decent size and while nothing special, were satisfying. The blue cheese dressing was pretty good, with big chunks of blue cheese. Lasagna: not great, but pretty good. Chicken parmigiana: the chicken was crispy and really quite good. The sauce was decent. The spaghetti noodles, however, were mediocre, dry spaghetti, slightly over cooked, and while it seems like it was plated with too much water still on the noodles, several of the noodles were still dry and stuck to the plate. Penne Alfredo with grilled chicken: absolutely mediocre. I've had better Alfredo sauce from a jar, and the chicken seemed like a reheated piece of frozen chicken. All in all, a disappointing experience. There's far better places to eat in Morgantown. read more

Colasantes has been a family favorite for so many years, but I have never had such rudeness from a server. My son had gotten the stuffed peppers and was unaware that they were going to be hot. When he asked the server if he could have something else because it was too spicy for his stomach, she would do nothing for it. In fact, when he said that he did not know it was going to be so spicy, she replied "well now you know". I guess they need to actually hire servers that care about their customers and get rid of the rude, I don't care attitude servers. It will be my biggest regret because the hoagies are pretty good. I will find somewhere that will treat its customers a lot better than this. As an added note: you will pay for your food and tip before you get your food, you will have to seat yourself as well. My husband got gnocchis, boneless wings which were both good and philly cheesesteak hoagie (he was extremely disappointed that the peppers and onions were raw even though the mushrooms were cooked. My wife and I were here a couple months ago and we ordered a lot of food. Our experience was ok. I got wings and my wife got pasta and chicken noodle soup and then we split a pizza. The pasta, wings and soup were just ok, nothing to write home about. The soup was bland and looked like it was out of a can. But the pizza was spectacular!! Colasante's used to be my favorite place to eat. I have eaten at Colasante's 3 times since they re-opened. Unfortunately, each experience was terrible. Terrible service and terrible food. The sauce tastes like pure tomato sauce. The sandwiches have nothing on them. On an Italian hoagie, you get one slice of ham, one slice of pepperoni cheese and lettuce. We did find one piece of chopped tomato and one tiny slice of banana pepper. The wait staff never returns to your table once they deliver the food. They want a tip when you order your food. The station where you have to get your own drinks, looks like it never gets wiped off. Speaking of which, I saw one of the wait staff drop her rag on the floor, pick it up and wipe off a table.
