He kept loosing his balance and getting dizzy enough to fall. She put him in the hospital. Did all kinds of test but nothing showed up. Thank God she called in his cardiologist and he was also testing. She came in and told me she was sending him home because they could not find anything. I explained he now lived alone since my mother had passed and I worried about him being there by himself. She said basically she was sending him home to die. I said I would like him to be able to basically take care of himself the way he wanted to. She said I couldn't always get what I want. She left the room and not 5 minutes later his cardiologist came in and said they knew what the problem was. He needed a pacemaker. He recently had his 2nd pacemaker put in. He has been in the hospital several times and every time she expected him to die. He is still hanging in. He is having to have home health now because he fell before Mother's Day this year and broke his femur. She is in charge of that. He was not feeling good today with a large swollen area on his right side and his lung sounded crackly. The home health nurse felt he needed to see the dr. She called and made an appointment today. He went in with his caregiver who is a sitter we pay for. Dr Kumar asked daddy if he thought he needed hospice. Daddy said he didn't think he was ready for that. The caregiver proceeded to tell the dr his symptoms. The dr said well he is 95 years old. The dr told her that was the problem with the home health people, they make more of the situation than necessary. She basically chewed out our caregiver. Then she asked daddy if he was sure he didn't need hospice. Again he said no. She said "Well how long do you think you are going to live" He said MD Anderson says I could probably last till 100. She said maybe MD Anderson should be taking care of him. Then she turned her back on them and walked out. If you love you friends and family do not let them go to her.

A critical position, however, there seems to be a "bottleneck" &, as a long time patient of Dr Rawan, I simply cannot get the help I need. I am an 02 dependent patient currently on home health nursing services but Centerwell and your nurse, Angela, have worked well together to keep me alive. Every time I have to call BIMGA (3 times so far today) it causes undo exacerbation for my lungs. As today is Monday, I waited to call until 10:20. I was on hold for a period of time. A very nice person asked how she could help. Feeling hopeful, I gave my date of birth, my name and my phone number. I specifically said the following: "please have Angela with Dr Raman's office call me. I am feeling some unpleasant side effects from my Repatha and I need to speak to Angela". BIMGA employee asked what kind of side effects. Again, 02 dependent, I was able to say the same pain as I experience with oral statin drugs. I reminded your employee that the pain is rated about 7.5 and is definite statin pain. I again asked for the message to be cycled to Angela. 12:50 I get a call from the nurse for Ms Williams. She was very kind but said she couldn't help me because Repatha was not prescribed by Ms Williams. I thanked her very much and told her I had SPECIFICALLY asked for the message to route to Angela. Nurse for Ms Williams said that information was no where in the note but that she would get the message to Angela. I hung up and called BIMGA again. After being on hold for a short period of time, I asked the BIMGA representative why my message was not sent to Angela -- again, I said Dr Rawan was the prescriber. Your employee said that it's practice procedure to route all messages to the provider last seeing the patient (I saw Ms Williams once. Ever since I became BIMGA patient -- Ms Williams ONCE). Doctor Musa, I was flabbergasted. This is absolutely the definition of insanity! An 02 dependent patient who has been seeing Dr Rawan consistently for multiple years having to beg for a message to be routed to her practice. BIMGA employee did not seem to be concerned AT ALL. She just kept repeating "practice policy". I asked to be transferred to the practice office manager -- I again had to repeat the same information to voice mail. I've now lost count of how many times I've interacted with BIMGA via phone calls today. I am wore out. 2:15 -- Angela called thank God and is working toward resolution. My question, is it really practice policy to make something so dang inefficient when a patient is reaching out begging (yes, I was begging -- whatever's going on is extremely painful) that patients frustration level is off the charts and pulse ox drops? Is it really the intent for the office manager to consistently be unavailable for the patients who need help?

Let me start by saying I was very lucky to have found Rash Decisions Dermatology and…read more Dr. Marchand on short notice. My sister had developed some brown spots on her back, along with a small skin lesion on the side of her nose and a larger wort type growth on her forearm. She hates going to doctors, especially for every little thing. Our sister who has assisted her with care since she lost her husband 4 yrs ago, said she was concerned about some of the areas and we should really get them looked at soon. Her nurse practitioner recommended she go to a dermatologist because some looked concerning. I tried to get an appointment for her but had very little luck since the few dermatologists in the area were not able to see her for 4-6 months. A relative recommended Rash Decisions and Dr. Marchand. She drives from her Dallas office to her Beaumont office a couple of days a month. Her website gave me a clear list of services up front, including the cost for a full body skin cancer check, which was what she needed. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for her the following weekend, when the Doctor happened to be in town. My sister has a very low tolerance for pain, but Dr. Marchand was very understanding and gentle. I feel like she took her time and was not rushed and fully explained every concern we had. She reassured us that the moles and brown spots were normal part of aging for some people. She removed the two areas her doctor's office was concerned about. They were sent to pathology to be checked further (with her insurance covering that part). My sister said she felt like she was in good hands the whole time and we were glad she didn't have to wait 4 or more months to be seen. We are so happy to have found Rash Decisions and highly recommend Dr. Marchand, especially If you don't want to wait 6 months and are concerned about skin cancer or you need to get in to see a dermatologist quickly, for any dermatology services. Her Beaumont office is next to Phelan Blvd., (away from all the IH-10 and US 69 construction) and is in a safe area, with easy parking. I explained I had to be in Beaumont in a Monday and that said they be open until 4 pm. I asked then to be placed on the "ok to go up" list (why Marceland feels she so special to have a private list is beyond me as well.) However when I arrived at 115, not only was I not on the list, but I was not permitted to go upstairs and purchase the expensive item I needed AND the office staff was IN THE OFFICE. UPDATE! I received a phone call from Dr. Marchand's office very apologetic for the mixup. I received erroneous information from someone on staff. The office made amends that greatly benefitted me and I am satisfied.

Rude and condescending the entire time. Back then we had insurance and it was it wasnt that big of a deal, we thought it was going to be our last kid. I wont have to deal with her again. Well now, we just found out we are having our 4th child and we called up there to see what the cost were going to be due to us not having insurance it will be self pay. She, the same receptionist, again rude and condescending x2 than last time. All the answers were very short and vague. Told me anywhere between 4k-6k for their services and for y'all to call back when we have half down. Well when I told her I had half the money down I needed an appt for my wife she said she wouldn't talk to me that she would have to talk to my wife about it all. So frustrating. My wife calls up there and gets the same attitude. I call up there again and try to speak with Dr Waddell, she said he was at the hospital. So I asked for the on call nurse, she said she was with a patient. I told her I don't mind waiting on hold. I was hung up on 3 times over the course of 30 min on hold. She called us this morning and said they are booked up, even though they tried to give us an appointment yesterday. I eventually gave up. They refused to give me Dr Waddell email address so here I am. The bright side is, my wife was delivered by Dr Pieternelle. I called the receptionist up there and got grade A service and the cost is in half for the same services. I wouldn't mind paying more for the service we got from Dr Waddell and he has my wife's and children's history, and Dr Waddell has be awesome to us, but he just lost a loyal patient due to this receptionist!
