Chris, my trainer, is extremely personable, focused, and on top of all our objectives. I've always thought the best customer service experience is one where the client feels like they're the only client in the universe, and that the party providing the service is devoted to the singular task of addressing the client's needs. Obviously, a bit of a fantasy given a business with multiple clients, but some businesses pull it off: they create an environment where you feel like you're truly cared for, as if you're the only client. Evolve Athletic Club has accomplished this with me. The staff here are extremely competent, supportive, attentive to detail, and prioritized all my personal objectives. Every question has a good answer and every workout is challenging. A lot of care is put into recovery and nutrition. The space is very clean and organized. The staff has done a great job to build amazing rapport and trust. On a side note, you know the expression, "zero fucks given"? It's this attitude where a person literally does not care about a single thing. Plants need watering? No. Need to pay rent? Nah. Clothes getting dirty and need washing? Whatever. Failing school? Ite. Evolve is the opposite of this. In fact, I think they're the opposite of this plus more. Not only do they do everything you think that's required of them, they also do stuff that you don't consider. They take the initiative to say: "hey, this is cool and could be beneficial to you. Why don't you try it?" But, but...you're reviewing a business. Aren't corporate entities "it's" and not "they's"? Sure. However, I stopped thinking of Evolve as a corporate entity as soon as I started working out there. All the staff members look organically happy and engaged, and everyone has a great sense of humor. It genuinely feels like the people here are part of a family. Perhaps I'm just happy that I'm in much better shape. But, at the end of the day, results are results. Not only did I get results, I got them with a process that was fun and engaging. I'm more encouraged than ever to work out and be healthy.

I expressed this to the spa director and the response was that she did not understand why I was upset-I guess wasting my time and money are minor inconveniences. I would highly recommend going elsewhere if you want the expected experience with the infrared sauna.

I arrived only 10 minutes before my appointment, and it wasn't enough time to check in, finish the paperwork, and change into the robe. The facial ended up being closer to 45 minutes instead of 60 because we got started late. However- it definitely did not take away from the quality of the facial. I had been reaching out since February about my membership and billing, called multiple times, and often received no follow-up. Charges continued for months even though we were not using the YMCA, and my refund request was denied. After being a member at the Rye YMCA for years, the difference in customer service has been very noticeable. Rye YMCA has always been a much better experience for our family.
