I've been here twice and have enjoyed it but always room for improvements! Pros: you have access to amenities all day including indoor pool, lounge area, sauna, steam room, showers. The massages are lovely! Both times I have gone my massage therapists have been amazing and I walk away fully relaxed! Cons: Towels in the women's bathroom are no where to be found. You have one in your locker (hopefully) and that's it! They don't have a rack of towels anywhere. Hooks are equally hard to come by. There is no place to hang your robe or clothes while you are in the showers or sauna. The quiet lounge area isn't that quiet. It's small and some don't really abide by the whisper zone. Overall, I would recommend as a local spot for an upgraded winter relaxation day! read more

I was a member for months. Unfortunately, another company took over, everyone was let go, and the services went downhill from there. I requested treatments at the desk, by phone and over email. They said they didn't know how to book them or perform them as all of the staff was new. I was paying $200 a month and more for products, treatments, and services. It is not worth it. While I was here almost daily, I saw other complaints and issues arise with other clients. Do not come here. I had been coming here for over 20 years. After their management changed, the location went downhill quickly. I go to another local spa that is much better. With all of the spas in the area, I recommend going to any of the other ones. read more

the Opus Spa is a very nice destination. the steam room and sauna are fantastic. I hate to say the quality here has gone downhill over the past couple of months. they have shortened the service times and the masseuses are ofter finishing the massages 10 minutes earlier than the 50 minute and 80 minute massages. there is not a consistent desk staff- I had to wait 10 minutes for service. the staff have mentioned there is a new manager that is not supportive and making changes that negatively impact the customer experience. I would not recommend spending your money here. save yourself lots of money or get double the service at another spa. read more

Wildly disappointing experience. I called to schedule several massages for a relaxing bachelorette day. I first called beforehand to discuss this with the general manager. We're talking 4-5 massages, not a huge party. She assured me everything would be fine and they would help coordinate. Gave her the names of the girls attending. I also booked an expensive suite in the hotel for the night to help facilitate. They then CANCELED the brides massage without notifying us. When I called, they had no explanation. They also told us the suite only came with one day pass, which is absurd. They consistently forwarded us to the hotel front desk for questions with the spa and the worst is no one ever got back to us. Terrible customer service. Honestly the J house in Greenwich is so much nicer. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

My sister, niece and myself spent an afternoon at the Opus Spa in White Plains. We got 2 facials and a massage. Let me say that the services were exceptional - Daniel, who was our aesthetician - was wonderful and did an amazing job. Bogdon, the masseuse, was also great and we all enjoyed our treatments. That said, the staff that handles the bookings leave much to be desired. When I called to book these appointments, it took forever to reach a live person. Once I did, I had to repeat my information - name, email, type of service I wanted, day/time - several times before the person I was dealing with was able get it right. When I didn't receive an email confirmation, I called back - they had reversed my email address - which I repeated TWICE - to first name last name @gmail when it was last name first name. What was particularly frustrating was what occurred when we checked out. After paying for our treatments, we asked about leaving a gratuity. The person at the front desk stepped away to retrieve the technician's Venmo barcode and we each left a 20% gratuity. The issue: after we left, I received an email confirmation that noted a 20% "service fee" which turned out to be the gratuity! So I call the spa back and to their credit, a woman I spoke with said immediately had the technician return the Venmo'd amount. However, my sister had left a cash gratuity and the only way to get that returned is to go back to the spa in person. A pain. More to the point - this is a place that charges nearly $300 for a facial, nearly $200 for a massage (BTW, we had gift cards we were using for our treatments which was why we were there in the first place) therefore, the staff should be fully versed in how gratuities work and frankly, just be more competent humans overall. read more

I would not recommend the Opus Spa for a day pass. At $125, it was nowhere near worth the price. The pool was extremely underwhelming and just a basic hotel pool shared by hotel guests (meaning kids come here too). The "amenities" were inside the locker room and only consisted of a small sauna and steam room, which felt very bare-bones for the cost. And by the way, can be used for free by the people who book a service.. To make things worse, the director was rude when we kindly brought up our concerns and left us feeling even more disappointed. If you're considering Opus, I strongly suggest looking anywhere else. read more

Had a relaxing evening at The Opus Spa this morning. The hot stone massage was amazing and my therapist was so nice. Large changing rooms with everything you need to shower, shave, blowdry your hair etc. There's also a sauna and steam room. You even get access to their indoor heated pool. I don't even know where to start. Everything about this "spa" was a scam. My friends and I booked the $125 "Spa Day Pass," which was completely misleading. From the start we questioned our access to amenities because the website description was false, and when we asked why the pass was labeled "New," we got two different answers, staff said it was new, but the manager, Lisa Marie, said it wasn't. She kept switching her story and talking in circles to make us feel like we were wrong. The pool was dirty with rusty stains, nothing like the outdoor-looking photos online-it was fully enclosed and just the regular hotel pool shared with guests. The sauna was the size of a cubicle, the steam room had a eucalyptus spray bottle, and the lockers were broken. I had to get someone to open my locker for me with a tool. We paid $125 for amenities I could've gotten at my gym, while guests getting facials/massages had full access to the same things included in their service price. When we asked about booking those, she said it was "fully booked," then changed it to "only 2 spots," then said we couldn't anyway. None of it made sense. Lisa Marie was the worst part... condescending, mocking, argumentative, and totally unprofessional. She laughed at us while we voiced concerns, got defensive, and diverted questions instead of addressing them. We asked about a refund and were told there was "nothing she could do" and that she'd "note our opinions." There was no apology, no compensation, nothing. She even tried to brag that people "love it here," OK! Not by the reviews if you look closely enough! Obviously everyone is different to even say that is so unprofessional and as a manager you're supposed to do everything possible to make sure that your customers are satisfied, especially when they are brave enough to voice concerns verbally in-person in a respectful manner. At the end of the day, nothing about this place is spa-like or luxurious. To charge $125 for a dingy pool, tiny sauna, and broken amenities is insane. Save your money and don't waste your time. read more

This spa is a true refuge in the middle of White Plains. Stacey is a fantastic masseuse - I walked in riddled with knots and unable to move my neck very much and she was able to work everything out. I would give this place zero stars. Do not come here. Lisa Marie, the spa director, is so unprofessional and rude. We expressed feedback about the place and our dissatisfaction calmly and she was immediately defensive and told us we were "nitpicking". That is insanely unprofessional to say to customers. The place was a giant fraud. It did not appear how it does online. It was dirty. The pool looked like a motel pool and is shared between all the guests. It looks like it would be a nice rooftop pool with misleading pictures online and it's enclosed. The cucumber water offered had rust floating in it. They were misleading about the prices and services offered. Someone who purchases a service like a facial or massage has to pay 240 and gets all the spa amenities included but if you buy the day pass, you have to pay for that day pass and on top of that pay the 240 if you want to use a special service. That makes no sense and is so unfair. She tried to lie about that and kept changing what she was saying. At first she offered us the extra services but then when we had these complaints she tried to lie and say the services were all booked out today anyway. The spa is essentially what you would get out of a gym. Just a sauna and steam room with showers. DONT WASTE UR TIME COMING HERE!! They also don't offer refunds or compensation for voicing your concerns. read more

I called the spa to buy a gift card to give my wife a spa treatment as a gift. I was guided to hotelgift.com to buy the card. The website seemed to indicate that I could buy a gift card for the hotel that would work in the spa. After my wife's spa treatment the receptionist said they do not accept that gift card. My wife patiently explained that someone there told us to buy that gift card but the receptionist said no and we paid (again) with a credit card. They offered no help whatsoever and the manager was the same when we emailed later. Really terrible service. What was meant to be a relaxing day for my wife turned out to be a double charged service with remorseless staff. Very poor. Not recommended. read more

False advertising. They claim to have a heated pool but the water was really cold. Pool attendant and spa staff said that it was supposed to be at 84 degrees, but I highly doubt it was even that. (I had goosebumps in the water) I also question the cleanliness of the spa. I received a wet/used robe as if it was new. Not worth the value at all for the resort pass. read more

I had a facial at Opus Spa with Courtney Rose. This was my second time having her do my facial and it was just as amazing as the first time. This is why i specifically requested her and will do so going forward. She is amazing by far one of the best facials i have ever had! I am so excited to go back to her for my next facial as well as let others know how incredible she is. My face is glowing and looks amazing. Going to make this my go-to place, you can even access the pool & fitness center while you're there. I am super disappointed in the service of the opus spa. My husband gifted me a massage for Valentine's Day. Drove there a few weeks ago and on the way, the front desk called to cancel as a therapist called out. Understand this happens, I ended up rescheduling. The woman was so nice on the phone and booked me for 10 am Saturday. I asked about the amenities and use beforehand, etc. I came from a morning workout class and arrived at 9-9:15. According to Google, they open at 9 am. They indeed were not open. Their website says 10. I waited in the lobby of the hotel and around 945 decided to call. To my surprise, they were open and opened at 930. This was not properly communicated. I went up to my appointment and explained the mishap and the front desk woman was noticeably unpleasant arguing that google and the website say 930. Anyhow, that's wrong. She showed me to my locker and I had about 10 minutes for the sauna and steam room. Neither of them were warm, my hot Pilates class prior was warmer than the sauna. The steam room was not ready and smelled of mold. Rushed through those and sat in the relaxation lounge. About 20 minutes passed and nobody came in. I made my way to the front desk and asked if I was going to be seen for my 10 am. They seemed flustered and said they were working on getting a therapist; mind you three women already were called. They said it wouldn't be much longer; however, I asked is there no one here? Sure enough, that was it, again. And that was also a sign that for what I'm paying, this place isn't worth it. They were apologetic, but seriously, get your service together. Someone should have come and found me and explained this. Very disappointing experience and sad I drove there two Saturdays and have still not received a massage. This is a customer service and management issue. If you're going to present your spa like a high-end experience, with the same prices to match, you must treat it like one. That is not the case. My suggestion - save your money and find a new place. I took my three daughters here for a day at the Spa. We all had the best time! We drove up to the front and they valeted our car, which was so helpful! We go up to the 9th Floor and the reception area was very pretty and clean. When I booked my reservation, they only had three appointments for a massage, we were four. Anna called me a day or two after I made the reservation and was able to book a fourth appointment around the same time as my daughters'! I was so happy. When we gave our name, Anna was there to sign us in and walk us into the spa. She was so sweet and a pleasure. The place was very clean, very pretty and spacious. The sauna and steam room were a good size and excellent! I have been to many spas and sometimes one isn't working or doesn't work so well. These were perfect! My daughters and I loved our massages. They were all different, but we loved every minute of them! The massage therapists were very knowledgeable, personable and a delight to work with. We then went to the pool and had lunch. The pool area is so pretty because it has celing-to-floor windows, lounge chairs and regular very-cushioned chairs with tables. We enjoyed the lunch very much, food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating with anything we needed. We took showers, did our makeup and hair. They have all the amendities that we needed, from deodarant to hairspray to shaving cream, razors, etc. We stayed from 1:00 to 6:45 pm. We didn't want to leave!! When paying, they called down to valet to have our car ready, which was such a nice touch! This is now my go-to spa. Can't wait for January to go again!!! read more
