I decided on a cold stone cake for my birthday last week and using the online system was convenient and easy to navigate for placing an order. My cake was ready promptly at the time I requested, and the woman who greeted me was friendly. The cake was absolutely delicious! The only thing missing was the chocolate ganache that I had requested. There was no option to add it to a "create-your-own cake" so I put it in the special requests. At pick up, I showed my email order confirmation which had my request list in the notes, and the woman was apologetic but told me that it did not show up on their end and their online system had glitches. What the heck is going on in chesterfield? Ordered ice cream from here. Not only was the order incorrect, one was super soupy; the others were steadfastly melting and my chocolate dipped waffle bowls were Missing.. I ran the order up to have them remake them, and give me the rest of my order. I was met with questions about what the issue was with each order (uhm wrong orders, soupy orders, missing order) and the employee was told twice to "just remake them, they shouldn't be like that", the young staffer continued to argue about it. Not my fault you were busy, not my fault you were wrong. Just make the #*+% order so you can get back to work and I can leave. I wish I could've gotten all the dang fees I paid for this ridiculous order!! Horrible customer service. By the way, young man, your arguing and putting about causes that nice long backlog of people there by the time I finally got my order. I also asked them what they did when they don't have one item (for example we ordered three chocolate chip waffle bowls they didn't have those, but they had the regular waffle bowls) in an instance like this, and all I did was get a shrug of the shoulders. The only reason I ordered delivery versus pickup like I usually do was because I was sick and in the past when I have ordered it then picked it up, it was never soupy like this! You can blame someone else all you want, but remake my mushy order and stop fighting. I didn't want to go in and pick it up so I could avoid getting other people sick and unfortunately if that's the case and someone does get sick, I'm sorry. I could've been out of there a lot sooner had he not decided to argue with the me. Also, the very first one he remade, he decided he was just gonna stick it on the counter and leave it there while he was very slowly making the other ones. I took the one that had just been made and stuck it in the freezer where the cakes were, and The manager (I guess she would call her that) curtly asks me "what are you doing?" and I said "I'm putting this in the freezer so it doesn't melt like the other ones did" . She then said "oh we can put it in the freezer for you." What in the world did you think I was doing? The whole experience was a total disaster. read more

Every time I come here I get cotton candy with hot fudge. Las time I went in December the girl behind the counter named Alexis said she made it that day herself. The cotton candy was a beautiful psychedelic mix of blue and pink. I went yesterday and it was just blue and Alexis wasn't there :(. I believe having both colors present in the cotton candy ice cream is imperative because it is pleasing to the eye. read more

So I had a hankering for some ice cream and I love cold stone. I got a like it and love it size. As I'm eating my like it strawberry blonde, I notice a small hair. It's looks like an eyebrow hair. Then as I search the ice cream I notice something small and dark. At first I thought it was a small piece of frozen strawberry, but it turns out it was a small bug. Looked like a fruit gnat but slightly bigger. Needless to say, I lost my appetite and I won't be returning. The service was fine, but I'd prefer to not have bug toppings added in. read more

I've been coming to this location my whole life and have been very upset the last few times. I showed up at 9:52pm, knowing the employees were going to give me a hard time but I proceeded anyways, because well.... THE HOURS SAY THEY ARE OPEN UNTIL 10:00pm. Anyways, I walk in and all three girls gave me the dirtiest look and proceeded to ask if I had a door dash order. I said no and they immediately told me they cannot serve me LOL. The "supervisor" said they are "doing this thing where they close at 9:40pm so they can leave right on time" and kept telling me I had to leave. At this point, I didn't even want an ice cream, I just wanted to get my point across, so I stood in line. The girls kept shaking their heads and straight up ignoring me... honestly so rude. The really professional "supervisor" said to me: "if Its really that big of a deal, I'll make you your icecream... but just to let you know we can't serve you next time if Its before 9:40". I went on and reminded them that 1.) their website and google hours state otherwise and 2.) their door was still OPEN. All in all, I will NOT be back. I will be speaking to a real manager tomorrow and I HIGHLY suggest spending your money somewhere else. read more

I love the ice cream here. In all the times I've gone, I don't know if I've ever had anything besides the Founders Favorite. I don't know who the founder of this place is, but they have good taste! It has sweet cream ice cream mixed with pecans, fudge, caramel and the best part...brownies! Very indulgent. It's good in either a cone or a cup. I haven't had a problem with the service but I usually go at slow times like mid-day during the week. I always get a like it size (small). That's partly because it's so rich but also partly because of the price. Cold stone isn't cheap. The cakes are especially expensive! I wish the cakes were less pricey. Maybe one of these days I'll finally try something new. There are so many good possibilities on the menu. But...I doubt it! read more

But i was trying to buy an icecream cake and stood at the cash register for 5 minutes and workers were just trying to avoid eye contact while the icecream cake was melting.. I asked for a small vanilla milkshake and the lady said she couldn't make it because she didn't have milk so I proceeded to say that I will make it when I get home just throw ice cream in the blender and mix it a little bit her answer was I can't do that because our ice cream is too hard and it will break our blender I look behind her and she has a 700 dollar vita mix blender that can't handle cold stone ice cream that we eat with a spoon. read more

Cold Stone has pretty good ice cream, I really enjoy the smoothies here as well. It's a really nice place to have in the area.

The ice cream here is amazing! I've heard that there are some long wait times but for all the times that I've gone I haven't had to wait more then 5 minutes to be served. Which I don't think is bad at all. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only reason I don't make it 5 stars is because when I have gone here it's always been kind of dirty. read more

It's Coldstone, so it's nothing out of the ordinary. You go and you know you're getting legit ice cream. They saved me in a bind because my parents wanted ice cream while I was out visiting them and this location was open at 9:45. For ice cream, in MI, you can't go wrong with Coldstone. read more

I went there today to use my gift card and as soon as I got to the door they shut the open sign off , I called and they told me that they didn't "have enough people " and only grub hub is open for there . They refused Me and my friend , plus a dad with his little son .Their sign said they were open on Sundays until 10 , I went there at 7 . Very poor customer service. read more

Went on a Sunday evening where there was a semi decent crowd. There were 4 workers behind the counter including the manager, who was making waffle bowls instead of scooping ice cream & helping cash people out when there was a decent sized line. There was a family of 4, 2 groups of couples, and 1 single person in front of me. It took them 25 minutes to take care of those people, and they knew what they wanted. When I got up, I asked for a Like It size of birthday cake remix but substitute caramel instead of fudge. The girl taking care of me forgot & put fudge in. Since there was a line behind me, I didn't even ask to have it remade because I didn't wanna be "that person" so I just took it and ate it. However they are soooooo pricey. My like it, which is the smallest size besides a kiddie cone or bowl and weighs out to probably 8oz total, for a signature mix came out to $5.26! I mean I do enjoy it, but for that small of a size, that's too pricey. If you like a million things mixed in your ice cream, I recommend this place because it's closer than a Menchies or Orange Leaf if you're around 23&Gratiot. But be ready to pay an arm and a leg for small sizes & wait over 20 minutes when there is a line. read more

I was there July 26/2020 around 8:20 to 8:40pm. There were 3 employees working. The employee working the cash register was extremely rude to customers as she was telling them they needed to wear a mask while her mask was under her nose and flopped away from her mouth. I ordered 4 milk shakes It appeared that they purposely made the shakes runny with barely any ice cream. During the time they made the shake they would fill the cup with ingredients and then walk to their back room and returned 3min later to blend it. I have a strong suspicion that they SPAT in the cups, if they have video cameras in the back I hope their manager would take a look. They handed us the cups that were wet and sticky from the shakes and No straw (they said they didn't have any). When they rang up my bill, as suspected they tried to over charge me. This location needs to hire better employees instead of nasty disrespectful girls. read more

Was at this store twice in 2 weeks and today the store wasnt up to what i have known this particular store to be. There were enough employees, however one complained she had during the day worked for an hour by herself, which is pretty scary if you think about it. All the tables were sticky and filthy. After getting our order a all the employees high tailed into the backroom to shoot the shit and were not available to assit anyone else had someone come in. My friend wanted a water and waited at the counter thinking one of the chit chatteres would come out and ring her up, but alas no one came to the counter. To get someones attention I had to yell because the music was so loud they couldnt hear anyways. The girl who finally came out looked annoyed and when I told her that we left $2 on the counter for water and that they could keep the change she "claimed" all the employees were "cleaning up and putting away food", which I may now have to rethink going there again because one of the employees was flipping her hair into a ponytail...apparently near food!!. The owner really needs to have a refresher course on how to run the store and when and where employees can flip their hair into ponytails. The owner needs to look at her security cameras read more

So disappointed. Ordered a birthday cake from here last week- cheesecake ice cream, extra cherries, and Graham crackers... Not only were there literally 5 cherries in the whole thing but the cake was beyond stale!! I seriously don't want to know how long it was sitting out before it was used for my cake .
