So when you first walk in, you don't feel very welcomed. There's a sign on the door that says "orange leaf is for well behaved, paying customers only". As a mom with toddlers I can't help but wonder if this is aimed at someone like me? My kids are very well behaved but that's not the point. They no longer do the ice cream by weight. You pay for the size and get 2 included (pre-portioned) toppings in little plastic side cups. You can get more for an additional 50 cents per topping. As a topping girlie, this really takes the fun out of it. How many times can I say topping? It also seems very wasteful with all that plastic. And I'm not even a "save the earth" type. The ambiance was off with that sign and the little cups and it just wasn't it. We won't be back. read more

The frozen yogurt was delicious and you can pick one, several, or even all the flavors along with a topping or two (the toppings are prepackaged so there is no waiting). Dirty and expensive. Took my wife and 4yo daughter here on 4/29/24 and my god, I don't know how this place passes health inspections. The floors are disgusting. The tables are sticky and have visible dirty rag streaks everywhere. Half of the machines did not work and there were no fresh fruit options out on the extras buffet. This place has no business charging $6 for a small cup and then asking for a tip at the register. Seriously, get your stuff in order or shut down. We won't be back. read more

2018-05-03. So right off the bat, you'll notice that this review is back dated. This is because I was cleaning up my phone and found this among my notes. Orange Leaf Yogurt is a franchise chain offering frozen yogurt. Made to order and completely self serve, cost is dependent entirely on weight. There is a selection of cup or waffle bowl as well as a selection of toppings. The premise is simple, you get what you want, they weight it, you pay it, then you eat it. Fro-yo has changed drastically from my childhood. I remember the days when fro-yo was literally that, frozen yogurt. Shops would take an individually wrapped chunk of it, throw it in a blender with some real fruit, add a bit sweetener (honey or liquid sugar), blend it to a thinner consistency then transfer it to a cup. Now, it's made with less yogurt, finely shaved ice, flavouring, constantly mixed to keep it from freezing, and dispensed with a pull handle (sounds like the recipe for a slurpee if you ask me). If the old method still existed today, all these fro-yo places would be rated 1 star IMO; however, the landscape has changed, and every business is doing the same thing. The bar has been lowered. I do prefer Orange Leaf over Menchies, but I've tasted the goods in the days of yore, I can't say I'm a fan knowing much better is still possible... 3 stars from me. This particular location is in a plaza at the NW corner of 21Mi Rd and Card. A massive parking lot offers free parking for all shops. There is no outdoor patio, but there are a couple of outdoor benches. Unlike the Lakeside Mall location (which has since shut down), board games are not available for use. A television is though. The theme is consistent as with all franchises. Hard Plastic furniture in the company's colors of Orange and White fill the interior space, all with smooth contours to keep everything safe for the little ones. The flavours of the frozen yogurt change weekly (less that most popular staples) to keep it's customer based interested and motivated to pop-in. You can also request a particular flavour if it's your favourite. The staff will usually pass it on to the yogurt chef and you may see it in next weeks change (you may also not, so don't get your hopes up too high). While I've had a taste of 'old fashioned fro-yo', my kids haven't, and they love this stuff. Between Orange Leaf and Menchies, I'd choose Orange Leaf every time because their fro-yo is not as "icy" in texture. Price wise, they're very competitive. Toppings include an array of crushed candy (chocolate) bars, sprinkles, gummies, fruit, and sauces like chocolate, fudge, and caramel to name a few. Orange leaf is a delicious frozen yogurt place. That being said I do happen to prefer another chain that starts with an M.....will let you figure that out. This specific review is for this location. It is absolutely gorgeous. It is huge. When you go in here there several different types of seating areas, a long bar area that makes you feel that you're at an old soda shop, couches, tables brightly lit and very clean. As for the frozen yogurt it is very good, I find it a little bit more expensive than another place but that's just what I think. The area with the toppings pretty clean. Usually a couple of people working there if you need help or just to cash you out. But otherwise it's a good spot to stop and I recommend it. read more

After hearing such great things about Orange Leaf, I decided to give them a try! The first few times I went here the line was out the door and completely back. It's a spot teenagers go everyday after school and the new hang out on the weekends. My boyfriend and I went right after lunch on a Monday. Not too many customers. Pretty quiet and pleasant. I've heard that Orange Leaf is similar to Menchies. What I liked that was different was that you can separate your yogurt and toppings with a divider. Very nifty! The divider divides your bowl into three's. The yogurt itself was too sweet for my liking. I had cheesecake (didn't taste like cheesecake at all!), oatmeal cookie and wedding cake. Wedding cake was my most favorite and I wish I only got that flavor. I didn't see any sample cups to try the flavors and the employees were all in the back chit chatting. I wish there was more sugar free, and dairy free options. Also beware the peanut toppings are not separated from the rest and spoons were touching. If you have allergies, I suggest telling an employee before filling your bowl with yogurt and yummy toppings. read more

Everything was clean, a couple or maybe three employees working to keep everything neat and orderly. Often a lot of elementary, middle school and high school kids there but never too rowdy. Can often be loud. No outdoor patio seating which is a bummer when it's nice out. Friendly staff. Frozen yogurt is my favorite and this Orange Leaf is the best! They are taking Covid precautions very seriously here. I was very impressed. They have individual toppings portioned out that you take to add to your choice of frozen yogurt. Because they have portioned out the topping individually, not everyone is using the same spoon to add toppings to the top of their yogurt. What sets this apart from other frozen yogurt is the option to do an individual (by weight) or fixed cup price. The fixed cup has 3 price options. For a beginner size its $5, intermediate is $6, and advanced is $7 and that includes two toppings and no weighing of your cup! The beginner size was perfect for my daughter and myself. My husband got the advanced. They have a great selection of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. Some of the frozen yogurt flavors change and it is always fun to try the new flavors. The staff working were all friendly and the place is very clean! I do have to say as a frozen yogurt addict, this Orange Leaf is the best! The place is really cool. There are about 10 different frozen yogurt machines and they are all SELF serve and all different kinds of flavors. You grab your size bowl and even a divider to insert​ into the bowl if you want to mix and try different flavors. (*They have mini cups to sample the different kinds of frozen yogurt before you use your bowl to pick your favorite*). Once you pick out your favorite frozen yogurt and fill your bowl up....you then proceed to go to a counter that has about 50 toppings ranging from Oreos to Cheesecake even tapioca balls..... that are in bubble tea I seen which I thought was pretty unique. They even have fresh fruit such as strawberries and pineapple. FINALLY to (*TOP IT OFF) no pun intended lol ......... YOU go and you put your FAVORITE topping or drizzle on such as hot fudge, white chocolate, peanut butter, or chocolate syrup ... That all sounds 5-star worthy until they place it on the scale and you find out you're amazing sundae you just made is $11 LOL. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the price... if you're coming here with your children you better watch how much toppings they put on there frozen yogurt because they weigh your food by placing it on a small scale..... and I believe it goes by the pound or the ounce??? The flavors are pretty flavorful. I'm usually a fan of tart but I wasn't the biggest fan of Orange Leaf's. The other flavors were very good though! Strawberry, Pomegranate and Pistachio are my favorite! Love that they have mochi; adefinite must for any fro-yo visit. My husband and I come here three to four times a week! All the workers are helpfuil and with as busy as this place gets they keep the place pretty clean and tidy. read more

All of the different FroYo flavors are lined up on a wall, and if it's really busy, it can be hectic trying to figure out which one you want. What I was impressed with was how they doubled up flavors at each station that complemented each other. Nice touch. Toppings selections were also impressive - always the kids' favorite part. Decor is modern, neat and clean. BE WARNED - this is a pay per ounce operation...and it adds up QUICK.
