It was a quiet Sunday evening around Promenade at Coconut Creek. Most of the stores were closed at 6pm. People were either strolling around the plaza or dining at nearby restaurants. I made a quick stop at Cold Stone Creamery for a cool treat, but not necessarily ice cream...a small strawberry banana smoothie would do nicely as the day's heat was dying down. People were steadily coming in as I placed my order with a friendly male employee. I watched as he prepared the smoothie in a timely manner. It was tasty and really thick...a bit difficult to pull the contents through the straw. I had to wait for the consistency of the smoothie to thin out. Ordered the Birthday Cake Remix and the Lucky Charms ice cream. The Remix tasted good but the Lucky Charms tasted exactly like a bowl of cereal from the 70s which is still on the shelves today causing health issues to our youth. I really want to love this Cold Stone because the employees are genuinely great super friendly, fast, and always helpful. The service is top-notch, and they do their best even when the place is slammed. That said, the location is a letdown. It's become a hotspot for neighborhood kids who crowd the place constantly. It's always packed, and with the doors opening and closing non-stop, the ice cream is often already melting before it hits your hand. It just doesn't stay frozen like it should. It's not the fault of the staff they handle the chaos well but the environment makes the experience less enjoyable. Great location for anything ice cream related! I was lucky enough to come when they weren't busy so I was in and out. The staff was super friendly and willing to assist. I settled on cheesecake, cake batter and strawberry ice cream with strawberries. I love how they combine all of the ingredients together, it's such a tasty treat! The pie crust crumble on top was so good! You have to get the waffle bowl, it's a great combo with the ice cream. The inside dining area is still closed, luckily there's a bench outside or you can walk over to Starbucks and have a seat there. They also make shakes which I have to try on my next visit. Today, as I was doing a little shopping with my little prince at the Promenade in Coconut Creek, I spotted this gem of a creamery. It's a cut above the rest in our area and the main reason is the specialty chocolates and other treats they offer. They have indoor seating, and a large metal bench outside. They also offer the regular signature cakes, cupcakes, and brownies, as well as their regular toppings. By the afternoon, they were out of pecans, but I was offered chopped almonds instead on my Founder's Favorite and it was just as good. My grandson had his usual chocolate cone. Although the tables and chairs could have been kept in better order, overall the customer service was very good--we were both extremely pleased and will return! read more

We ordered a birthday cake online a day in advance, but received an email the following morning saying they were unable to confirm the order with the store. I called them when they opened at noon and they were able to have it ready in an hour since they had the cake we wanted in stock. I didn't think they had bad customer service as mentioned by some others. Everytime I called they were helpful and sounded friendly. It would've been nice though, if the online order had actually gone through and I didn't have to ask about it an hour before I needed to pick it up. It was my first time having ice cream cake from Coldstone and I loved it! The strawberry passion birthday cake was a hit at our small party full of Japanese moms. Japanese people in general don't like cakes made in the US (too much sugar and the buttercream frosting is too heavy), but some of them actually said it was great that the cake wasn't too sweet. One young lady & one gentleman. i witnessed the young lady repeatedly make condescending remarks towards her coworker, raise her voice towards him, and begin slamming tools. I was extremely upset to witness this young man being spoken to in front of a crowd of people in this manner. As a business owner I am very disappointed to have witnessed such a hostile work enviroment for this young man. the proper thing that could have been done was to take a moment and step aside, in private to discuss whether or not he made a mistake. My favorite is the Strawberry blonde, I get it every time! The only issue when I went was the staff was basically asking for tips and consistently talking about it. The service was overall good, it did take a little long that my boyfriend no longer wanted to get ice cream so I only got one for myself. Only one person is to help you at a time which is a bummer. While I can no longer indulge in this treat. I did however want a treat for the wife and kids after being under quarantine for more than a month .. so a huge delicious sundae seemed a good safe choice. We ordered online easily for pickup locally. When we arrived the ice creams were being put together. They mix in the treats manually and we had three different flavors and each had their own mix ins. One was a coffee toffee deal, one cheesecake with fruit, and a cookies and cream explosion with Oreos. They all must have been very good as there were no leftovers or a simple taste for daddio. -- it was nice to see some normalcy and a happy family. The waffle bowls coated in chocolate were made upon finishing the order so that the bowl would not get squishy. It took an extra minute or two, but clearly a great idea. The bowls were kept separate from ice cream as order was take out. The only challenge with online order is no comments box exists to provide specifics or ask for items to be ready to eat. (Small suggestion) The employees were wearing proper PPE's. We also noted that they warned a family of 4 to wait outside as too many people had entered this evening. That made you feel comfortable and employees recognizing all clients equally and their safety. We would not hesitate to revisit. We have always enjoyed running over to Cold Stone with the kids and grabbing a sweet treat and had nothing but a great experience. We moved and with Cold Stone being conveniently located pretty much wherever you go in South Florida we were thrilled to find a location closer to our new home. My family and I rode our bikes to our favorite coldstone last night located in the Promenade shopping center in Coconut Creek. We were quickly greeted as we walked in and although the line was out the door , we got our order taken in less than 5 minutes. The level of service at this Coldstone location is always more than satisfactory. We were also pleasantly surprised that they were open being that it was 4th of July. Now to the business. My 8 year old really enjoyed his coffee scoop mixed with snickers and my 2 year old also enjoyed taking a few licks of the cotton candy child scoop he eagerly ordered. My father got 2 loved it scoops, one of the cheesecake and the other was strawberry. My mother was very happy with her choice, she got a like it scoop of coffee ice cream on a waffle cone. My sister and I got signature creations. Her choice was the Birthday Cake Remix which has cake batter ice cream mixed with fudge, a brownie and sprinkles. IT IS TO DIE FOR. You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream! Yeah but not really. I am absolutely a big Cold Stone fan and this was my first time visiting this particular one in the Coconut Creek Promenades. It was an average Tuesday afternoon the place was not busy at all literally maybe 3 people max. I walked in while the two workers one male and one female where in the front area, yet no one greeted me at all. My sister and I stood there for about 3 minutes before anyone actually spoke a word to us. I can see if it was busy or overwhelmingly crowded which can be hard to see everyone and speak but nope just us in line. I actually watched the guy and the girl make faces at each other to see who actually would be the one to help us. The guy nodded his head in our direction hinting her to go help. After he did this she headed over since it seemed as if she lost that bet. The lady then came over to us and nonchalantly asked what would we like. If anyone knows me they know I am super big on pleasantries. I feel its the simplest and easiest to do. This really put a damper on my experience. I am familiar with the menu so I ordered my usual Oreo overload. The ice cream was delightful as always , I just wish I could say the same for my experience. Once I paid for my ice cream I departed the creamery and sat outside to catch some fresh air. There is a nice set of benches located right outside of the store for those who prefer to eat outside. The inside was kept well and clean and includes a few table to sit at while enjoying your treats. This particular location also partnered with another store offering a few different items . I did not review the full menu as much as I usually do since I was at that point ready to go. Also I find it to have melted by the time they get done doing their work over of it. My stomach always feels a little funny after a visit here so with that in mind I went with the smallest like it size. Our two small ice creams with one topping each came to $9. I have been coming to this location for about a year now and I have to compliment the young lady Kaitlyn. There was a gentleman that was in front of us and I remember one time before when I was there that she made his order and walked off the line to set it on a table for him. She did it again this time also. She is kind and always has a smile. I love this location because everyone seems to care about people. I have even seen when there is a language barrier they will grab there phone to do the translation.
