Ordered from Cold Stone through DoorDash. I was almost going to rate this experience a 4 out of 5 but I found some good toppings towards the end of my dish. I love their peanut butter cup perfection but wish they offered it with the sweet cream rather than the chocolate ice cream. This means the one complaint I would have is that it makes me put in a custom order instead of just being able to request the flavor of ice cream you want and that can lead to feeling like you might get scimped out of toppings on a custom order especially if a person orders delivery. But the custom dish ended up having a good amount of toppings and made for a great valentines with my sweetie! read more

I've always been a fan of the ice cream... well, pretty much any/all ice cream... Cold Stone has premium flavor and fresh ingredients. I love all the possibilities in creating my own unique treat, and I like that they have some pre-selected creations. I love this location (Midtown Crossing) the best in Omaha, and I go out of my way to visit this one. The atmosphere is very cool and unique, and I love the view, especially from the outside eating area. Today I purchased a birthday ice cream cake. I called ahead, and the employee was very helpful. She told me all the flavors they had available and offered to personalize the cake for me. She did a wonderful job. I give them high marks on that. Their ice cream cupcakes, the ones with the fudge at the bottom, are amazing, but they are about $12 for six little cupcakes. They are definitely a special occasion item. They also have caramel apples. Their apple pie caramel apples are to die for; absolutely amazing. And their tiger butter caramel apples are awesome as well. The ice cream is good, but pretty expensive in my opinion. Let me set the scene for you. Tuesday night and I just want some raspberry sorbet with for myself and some cake ice cream for my girlfriend. When I go to pay for my delicious ice cream, there was about seven 15 year olds behind the counter, to chase a women out the store, AND down the block for not paying . This used to be a clean location that was a joy to visit. Now it is an run down Mcdonalds esque experience and has shown signs of not being deep cleaned for a long time. Times are tough but I have seen many less fortunate food service locations doing alot better. read more

I had the Founder's Favorite (Sweet Cream ice cream, pecans, brownie, fudge and caramel) in the "like it" size cup. You could also get it served in a waffle cone dish. I must say, the service was outstanding from the ice cream servers to the cashier. A steady stream of customers were there; even though it was cold outside. Also, if you tip the staff, they will sing you a song! Did you know there are fantastic looking caramel apples and decadent fudge treats you can purchase here as well? I do love their icy/creamy ice cream, but these prices are simply outrageous to me. Not only that, there's a tip jar out and, for me, I just don't feel right not tipping. I don't know why, but these young ladies whip this stuff up fast and friendly, and maybe they're students, maybe they're working nights and weekends -- so I tip. To walk out with such a small amount of ice cream and to have doled out nearly $7 (tax + tip) is just ridiculous. When I go to any Baskin Robbins (the one in Lincoln, mainly), a cup with two scoops (and they SHOVE TWO MASSIVE SCOOPS IN THERE) is less than $4. I, sadly, will never go to Cold Stone again. I found one and raced my way there but with some disappointment. Although the ice cream was great...(i got the birthday cake remix)...the service was very sloppy and lacked any enthusiasm whatsoever. The worker i assume was new because she did not know the menu or what the dish contained. I had to grab a ton of napkins before i even picked up the container due to ice cream all around the container and down to the bottom. Very sloppy. I wish I could give this place negative reviews. To be clear, I'm only referencing Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, not Cold Stone Creamery. I bought an Apple a Month card they sold to me a few months ago for $20, at this very location. Today, I walked in to use it and the employee said they were no longer accepting them. Which is clearly ridiculous, as I've already paid for it. I asked to speak to a manager. She called the manager on the phone who refused to speak to me and refused to give me any information on how to get in touch with one. The manager directed the employee to give me one apple and confiscate the card. THE CARD I PAID FOR USING FOR 12 MONTHS. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I kept my cool and calmly repeated my question asking how to just contact a manager. The employee started screaming at me in front of everyone. She yelled that she wasn't giving out a corporate number and that there used to be cards out with their info but there isn't anymore. Like I was somehow responsible for that. I couldn't have been nicer to this person and she repeatedly publicly berated me, all for trying to use the card I bought directly from their store. Was very disappointed when the order came. I honestly think there is no peanut butter in this at all. Barely any peanut butter cups. Minimum fudge. Not worth the money at all.
