A bit of a bummer there's no samples anymore. We walked in and I had to ask about a bowl since they're kept behind the register. It makes sense, but it makes it more difficult to get the ice cream if there's a large group being helped at the register. The gals working were helpful and friendly. The tables were dirty, which was fine since we sat outside but would have been a little gross if we wanted to sit inside. The coffee flavor was just liquid, so maybe it was recently put in there but I wish there would've been a sign saying it was unavailable. The rest of the flavors were good. Gosh, I am so sad that these fro-yo places started disappearing after covid. So happy to know we still have a few around! I love the options of frozen yogurt while being able to dictate myself of the portion sizes I want - plus sample cups! I haven't tasted a bad one yet. We got there 10 minutes before close. Me and my buddies were so excited to have some frozen yogurt. It had been a long day and it was hot outside and we were very hungry. We were ecstatic walking into Orange leaf as we enter the building there was not an employee in site. There were covers on all the toppings. We were confused, but not dismayed then an employee came out of the back, took one look at us and rudely said most of the machines are broken right now. It's been many years since I visited the store. I remembered that it was cool that you could sample the frozen yogurt before you decided what you wanted. Things have changed a bit. As soon as we walked in the door, the first words out of the worker's mouth was cone or dish? We both kind of looked at her and we said well I don't know what you mean have not been here in a while. She was a bit timid and said the only thing they had was a dish or a cone to get frozen yogurt in. Then asked if we could sample? She handed each of us a spoon. I thought to myself how am I going to pull the handle of this ice cream machine and get just a spoonful onto my spoon. Still confused I asked do you have the sample cups and she timidly said well you can use a dish and handed me a dish. Still confused I just took the dish and put different flavors in so I could taste them. Kind of felt like I was stealing frozen yogurt doing it this way, but I did not over pour my samples. We did decide what we wanted and checked out. It really is good yogurt, but like most ice cream places not cheap! A cone and a medium dish of plain yogurt with no toppings came to $12. Overall a great experience, and just what you'd expect! I wish there were small taster cups like I've had in the past, maybe this was a covid thing but I couldn't find them anywhere so just grabbed a spoon and bowl and tasted a few things at the station before making my selections. I wish the yogurt was slightly sweeter vs sour, I think others I've had in the past are a big sweeter. But overall great flavor. This cup without toppings was $6.50 which kind of shocked me, but I haven't had frozen yogurt in years so it probably is comparable to other spots! Orange Leaf is a good place to go for a sweet treat. It's been awhile since we've been there and now the server hands you your self-serve container instead of picking it up yourself. The flavors are still the same and there are a seemingly endless array of possibilities. I always start with something chocolate like the chocolate brownie yogurt, add wedding cake and then cheesecake. My toppings were chocolate rocks and caramel chocolate bits. I liked it better at the beginning when the flavors were separate. They got mixed in by the end. Bookguy got all fruit flavors with red cherries and red boba toppings which he enjoyed. The only problem I have with Orange Leaf is that they have no comfortable seating, especially for adults. There are some very low to the ground couches which are perfect for kids but older adults have to collapse on them and have help getting up. The plastic chairs are also for kids, hard and short. There's a counter with tall stools in the sunny window if you want your yogurt to melt faster. Luckily it was a comfortable temperature outside so I enjoyed my yogurt on a bench while watching the world go by. read more

The yogurt is really good, one employee was friendly... but here's the issue. I thought it was serve yourself (that's my own fault probably) so I added yogurt then saw that I don't get to add my own toppings. So i told the boy working I wanted cookie dough. He seemed annoyed in general & had an AirPod in one ear. But that's not even my problem. The tables look like they haven't been wiped down all day. All of them were covered in trash and spilled yogurt. Stopped in Orange Lear tonight after sushi for some dessert. I've never been to this Orange leaf, I've always been to the Village pointe location. It's been so long since I've had orange leaf ...like literally over a year and as I do this review sitting on my couch, I'm bloody full, fat and happy. It was good. They had a nice selection of yogurts tonight and I will make mention that we are still in Covid times so I had to stand behind a red line while an employee dished up my selection of yogurts. No big problem there but you have to be very attentive and let them know when to stop or you could get a big bowl that you may not finish, LOL. It was good.... no complaints. read more

I didn't realize how pricey this was. I get the concept of mixing and matching your flavors but they could add more toppings. They are quick to give the largest cup, smart! We arrived at Orange Leaf at 9:32 and the 2 girls who were working refused to open the door. The sign on the door clearly stated it closed at 10pm. We were trying to communicate with them through the glass door but they ignored us and were very rude to us. There was 13 people waiting outside who simply just wanted some frozen yogurt. This is very disappointing considering we drove across town to enjoy Orange Leaf after a long day of work. This was more expensive than I thought it would be for sure. The price was more than other froyo places in town. Also with Covid restrictions it definitely complicated ordering. At this location, the worker dispenses the flavor that you choose and dishes out the toppings for you. Definitely makes it much more difficult to get what you want and how you want it unfortunately. The yogurt here was very tasty, but I do not think it was worth the price. I do not know if this is the normal price for frozen yogurt now, but I paid roughly $10 for 1 cup of Frozen Yogurt. Like I said, the yogurt itself was quite delicious, but I do not think it is reasonably priced at all. 6/10. I would come again, but only when the price becomes lower. Delicious flavors!! I highly recommend the brownie batter and plain vanilla. A wide variety of toppings are available: fruit, candy, chocolate, boba, etc. Only downside is that it can get expensive- but I guess that's typical of froyo places. It is very difficult to drive past OL without stopping in... and of course it is just right off 72nd street so my children can see it and beg as well... which I don't need to be begged for long. Dennis touches on all of the important points... but I hold a special place in my heart because Orange Leaf was the first time I ever experienced froyo (in another city) so that by the time Red Mango arrived on the scene in Omaha I was not totally scared/overwhelmed. Orange Leaf seems to cater more to children more than adults, but maybe that's just because the first one I went to was swarming with a birthday party and all of the seating is 24" off the floor... Anyway, I really liked the flavor options. Cotton candy, birthday cake and strawberry/pineapple twist graced my froyo tub this past weekend along with those magical fruity juice ball things (they have a name, but I've since forgotten and who cares anyway?). May be that I just eat a whole bucket of those sometime... because you could if you wanted to. They practically forced one of the rewards cards on me (1 point per $10 spent, and then it's like a gift card or something). Anyway it was free and I didn't have to sign anything or give them my name. In exchange I got one of the physically largest key-ring rewards cards I've ever seen, but only time will tell if they accept it on my iPhone instead of the actual physical copy. Since this is the closest froyo to our place, we'll definitely be back. Probably more-so when the weather creeps up into the double digits on a more routine basis. read more

Yum, Yum and Yum. Why haven't I been to an Orange Leaf sooner? This place was lovely. It was clean and the staff as super friendly and helpful to a newcomer like myself. I tried a few samples and then decided on a mix of wedding cake and salted Carmel frozen yogurt with a few mix-ins. The bf went with a mix of lots of flavors and a couple of mix-ins. With the 15% military discount the total was super reasonable, so much so that I'm sure we will be back more than we should. :-) read more

Frozen yogurt places are addicting. They draw you in with their shiny strip mall exterior and before you know it you're holding a pint of ten different fro-yos mixed together topped off with all kinds of goodies. Orage Leaf is no exception. The premise is simple. Go to the back and grab a cup then start filling it with all kinds of sugary-sweet frozen yogurts. It's set up in two flavor "stations" that pair flavors together (good idea!). For example, chocolate brownie is paired with peanut butter and cheesecake is paired with strawberry. You can pick one or the other at each station, or pull the lever in the middle and have them come out swirled together. After you've gotten your froyo, you head to the toppings buffet to finish things off. Orange Leaf offers typical toppings like fresh fruit to cookie crumbs to sour gummies to sprinkles. From here, the cashier weighs your cup and off you go to enjoy your froyo amidst the bright and funky/chic interior. It's a great place for a date (post-dinner) or a fun place that families with kids can go to enjoy an evening out. read more

I'm worried about this store. On two separate nights we've been in around 9pm - the place closes at 10 - and the crew is breaking down the store for closing. Tonight I came to the toppings bar and half of it was behind the sink - "We're cleaning." Well before 9:30 the store furniture is pushed out of the way - you get the sense they are really annoyed that there are still customers there. Plus the Reese's cups get all stuck together and nasty when they're behind the sink. Add to this that one TV was tuned one night to an MTV reality show, and the volume was very loud, and the next night "Archer," which has some really raw language. I don't mind really raw language but in a froyo store it is jarring. If I had my young kid there I would have left. It's like nobody is managing this store and it's run by teenage girls whose sole mission is to get out of there. Tonight I had to ask for a spoon, for crying out loud. It's the only utensil you've got! The product is good but the experience is suffering. Please improve your management, Orange Leaf! read more

Dear Omahaians... The Froyo Revolution is starting so it would be wise to prepare! I have seen the frozen carnage in other cities in California and it could be worse than the Asian Beetle infestation of 2004... Imagine a world, where froyo shops are at every corner, every Wal-Mart, every Red Box machine... Ok all this food talk is making me hungry so let me get to the point. Orange Leaf is yet another froyo place to be opened in Omaha and praise jebus it's right next to wear I work on 72nd and Pacific!! I think that brings the grand total of froyo places to seven and if Omaha follows the trends of bigger cities, I imagine that number will grow exponentially to the point where they will tear down parking lots to make room for these self-serve sweetness in a cup establishments. OL (let's start a trend here) has a whopping 16 flavors beating all other places in Omaha... but the real question is: Quantity? or Quality? Wtih Wal-mart nearby and a growing froyo population, I can safely say that quality is important! I really want to give this place 3.5 stars because although it had a lot of flavors, the topping selection was large, but nothing out of the ordinary. Five star fro-yo places need unusual toppings like sweet red mung bean, crisco lard, bambi's mom or pickled herring. This place has your standard selection of chopped fruits, weird balls with fruit juice, mochi, nuts, cookies and chopped candy bars. I DO, however, like the taste of the froyo here better than Red Mango. RM has a slightly sour taste for their sweet flavors like choco choco chocolate, but OL taste like the actual flavor. I'm sure that comes at a price of more calories and fat, but we live in America folks, so eat up fatties! One thing I do appreciate here is their OunceBack card - I know Red Mango has a card too, but I feel like it takes approximately half my life to get points. This place gives you $1 on your card for every $10 you spend... not bad! Even my clearance-only shopoholic hoarder mom would buy into that deal!! And of course I'm sure you're wondering what flavors I had? You'll have to refer to my Red Mango review for a froyo tutorial, but I totally sported chocolate mint/peanut butter/snickerdoodle combo topped with mochi (a MUST!) reeses PB cups, butterfinger, walnuts and cinnamon toast crunch. I feel like I should preface this by saying I'm not a big sweets person. I'm not saying I don't like ice cream, chocolates, and cake but I usually don't crave it and typically turn them down when offered. With that said, this was a pretty good place for frozen yogurt. I had a few different flavors of lots of toppings on the one that I purchased. I don't really remember all the flavors I had, so I'll just speak to things I remember. I remember the flavors I had were pretty good, they weren't overly powerful, the topping selection was a decent size, and prices were reasonable. Although I thought this the frozen yogurt place was good, I don't think it is the best I've been to and if I did have the urge for something cold and sweet I'd probably end up going to high end ice cream shops or creamery with many more options. The place, tables and chairs, was laid out for children which made it very awkward for adults to eat there. I might go there again if people suggested, but wouldn't recommend eating there (maybe outside on a nice day?). read more

This place has a magical way of making me it's mutant fiend, craving for more...every day I drive past it. It's, honestly, a struggle to drive past it and not consider stopping in for a pail of some sort of delectable frozen yogurt amalgamation topped with everything that used to be a candy bar, cookie or cake. The ability to walk in and go all mad scientist on this place, cackling at other patrons as you create some sort of mouth bound abomination, almost yields a childlike sense of bliss because you know you should probably show some restraint for the your belt line but shut up brain. With a good assortment of flavors to choose from and a pretty stocked topping area, it's easy to turn common sense off for a few minutes and create something that will make you eat till you hate how you look. I mean...it's fro-yo so it's sorta health conscious but after I top with cheesecake bits, Oreo bits, cookie dough bits, all the candy bars and mallows...well...shut up brain...I earned this. The thing is that bliss will catch up to your wallet. They charge by weight and that number seems to blow up rather quick. I could gripe that it may seem expensive, but I'm lazy. My real gripe is, having lived there for the summer, is the slow rotation of flavors. Sure they'd introduce a new flavor or two every once in a blue moon, but for the most part, I was dealing with the same flavors on the great Wall-o-gurt for most visits. A little more change, more often couldn't hurt. Aside from that and, what could be a minor issue in price, I can easily tell you to gorge yourself in this place...eat with no regard and zero shame!!! I was a huge fan of Red Mango when they first opened which is the main reason I waited so long to give this place a try. I am glad I didn't wait any longer. The amount of flavors and the difference in variety I think is much better than Red Mango. My first taste was Caramel and Green Apple, it was nice, but too sweet to eat a whole bowl of. I ended up with a white chocolate strawberry/cheesecake; brownie batter, and peanut butter/chocolate. The biggest difference in flavor from Red Mango was the noticeably less tartness. Flavors really popped. I thought later I should go back for peanut butter with green apple. Environment isn't much different than Red Mango and nothing really stood out to me toppings wise, but I wasn't there for that, I was there for the Froyo. One of my favorite things that just makes you smile a little more was the little shovels they have as spoons. Sorry Red Mango this has taken me away. read more

I went here recently after a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond. It's actually pretty clean and the staff was nice. It's a shame it's in such a hard-to-access shopping center. Honestly, I might not have gotten around to going here if I didn't need some kitchen stuff at BBB. It's a chain, so I pretty much knew what I was getting, so this is more of a review of the place itself. Even though it was a hot day and there were a handful of munchkins around, it seemed clean. No sticky floors/tables/counters. In a place where you're serving yourself from a trough of fruit and candy that a zillion other people have potentially touched, this is important to know (at least to me). The staff was nice--the counter person greeted me at the door and chatted with me during my indecisiveness about topics. Of course five bucks for a bucket of "healthy" yogurt with candy is probably not the best use of my funds, but I'll definitely come back on another hot day. read more

Rudest employees we have encountered since covid. Greeted unfriendly because we didn't have a mask, not even a hi just a "do you have a mask?" I do not have a issue wearing a mask but I do have an issue when I am approached this rude. If you want me to respect you and wear a mask than be kind and respectful of those of us who chose not to. The modern incarnation of fro-yo places is a control freak's dream. You grab your own cup, you dispense your own yogurt, and you select your own toppings, choosing as much or as little as you'd like. Every yogurt shop kind of cracks me up because while colors and shapes may change, the interiors are always pretty Spartan. Orange Leaf recalls a set from 2001: A Space Odyssey with some splashes of orange and green. I'm on a post-holiday diet, and I went to Orange Leaf on my cheat day. Even on a cheat day, I can be pretty boring. Vanilla yogurt with fresh berries. The fresh berries were indeed fresh; at some places the fruit is sad and mushy, but not here. I tried some of my boyfriend's yogurt, which was pineapple. That is what I'm getting next time. read more
