So this would my first visit to a CSC so I didn't know what their deal was and I noticed trays of different flavor of cold goodness and tons of toppings to add to them. I ordered the founders favorite thinking that the pecans, brownie, carmel and fudge would be sprinkled on top of my ice cream bowl and you also get one topping to add so I got a peanut butter cup. To my surprise they actually put all the ingredients on a board and hand mix it all together and then put it in your base of choice. I don't go out for ice cream often but I will say that this was so awesome and it hit the spot for something cold and sweet. read more

Typical CSC in that it's small and staffed by underpaid workers who can't take tips. So, safe distancing in a Pandemic is a problem, and the way they prepare the desserts constant cleaning between patrons isn't possible either. It's really labor intensive, I can't blame the young workers for having lackadaisical attitudes and mediocre customer service. In spite of this, the turnover at this location is better than other CSCs, and the couple times I've been here I have had pretty good service. If you've never been, what they do is they take ice cream, they have a good variety of flavors, put it on a cold stone (see the connection?) and mash in various ingredients to order. So maybe you want fruit loops flavor ice cream (delicious) and you want some of those little marshmallows in it, they'll fold them in front of you. You can get a regular paper cup, but they also make fresh waffle bowls or cones to order. Very tasty. Like other fast food places, lots of non recyclable plastics, very hostile to the planet though not more so than other fast food. I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service here. A while back I placed an order for an ice cream cake a week in advance for an event I was hosting. When I went to pick up my order I waited patiently while they went looking for it in the back. After a few minutes the manager came up and said he wasn't at work yesterday so he couldn't make the cake. I was a little confused why the cake wasn't made earlier since I placed the order a week prior. The manager didn't have an explanation, so I let it go. What was really upsetting is I needed a cake for the event, so I had to purchase one of the pre-made ones. I wasn't expecting a free cake, but a 10% discount or something would have been nice. We've been to this store multiple times and the employees are consistently rude. The place is also really dirty. On our last visit, we ordered an "everyone" container to go and when we opened it at home, it was only 3/4 full and the ingredients weren't mixed in evenly. Birthday cake remix -- need I say more!? Cake batter ice cream, sprinkles, a brownie, and fudge -- it is the perfect combination! They are all mixed together on marble in front of you. The only downfall is that cake batter appears to be so popular that the past two times I've been there they have been out or on the verge of running out (yes, I may have begged them to scrape the container the most recent time -- I needed cake batter!) My only request is that they have more cake batter so they never run out, it is that good! Tip: if they are out of cake batter or mostly out, get what you can and have them add some chocolate. Used to come here all the time but took a break from eating tons of crap. Came here two nights ago and boy was the customer service HORRIBLE. There were three ladies working and they all seemed irritated that they had to work. They did not smile ONCE and barely said anything the whole time. My husband stopped her and told her they were wrong and her response was "that's all we have today". ??????????? Ummmm what? You advertise jimmys and put in sequins instead. I was craving my specific order like I used to get ALLLL the time. So whatever, I let it go. We still purchased it and then got a small cup of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. She scoops vanilla and doesn't give me sprinkles. I said, "oh are the sprinkles in there?". She looks at me annoyed and said I didn't ask for any. If you're gonna choose to work in customer service then fake a smile at least and be nice. And even after all of that my husband gave them a $2 tip. Then I get in my car and open the lid on the ice cream and there is CARAMEL drizzle in the lid. At no point did I order anything with caramel. So they are being unsanitary and mixing stuff. The three caucasian girls that were working there were talking bad about the customers. I told them my name and that I was there to pick up an online order, 15 min go by and still nothing. They all start to laugh because they thought one of them was taking care of me, order was ready at 8:35pm. Not sure why they hire immature girls to work here. This is the closest Coldstone to me at the moment. I remember YEARS ago when Mayfair had a Coldstone, I would always get the same thing every single time: cheesecake ice cream with heath bar pieces mixed-in. Made a special trip yesterday on a hot June afternoon to this place, and I have to say...my usual order still tastes exactly as delicious as I remember. The employee behind the counter was pleasant and professional and offered a tasting sample when we walked in without us having to awkwardly ask if we could have one or two. Oh Cold Stone, how I love you. Good ice cream, fun and tasty toppings, and employees you can extensively and repeatedly embarrass with a simple jingle of change into the tip jar. We went to the Cold Stone on Hwy 100 in Greenfield last night for some after dinner indulgence. I was surprised to find that we were the only people in there for most of our visit. Every other time I've ever entered any Cold Stone, it's been packed with customers. Maybe it's a sign as to why so many Cold Stones in the area have closed. *Sad face* But I think it has to do with the fact that Milwaukee is getting a lot of great new ice cream (or ice cream-esque) places and the shine of gimmicky Cold Stone is dulling. Anyhow, no matter how passe Cold Stone gets, they still serve full-flavor ice cream and tons of tasty mix-ins and in my book, there isn't a damn thing wrong with that. Bring on the Cold Stone! I got the Chocolate Cake Batter ice cream with crushed graham cracker pie crust, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and bananas. I couldn't find my Holy Grail ice cream cake in stock at DD, and ended up here instead. We picked up a Midnight Delight petite cake to-go for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this little cake was. It was rich without being overly sweet, and the texture was smooth and creamy. The ganash, paired with the coolness of the chocolate ice cream and the moistness of the devil cake, really made this melt in my mouth. When we called the store, we were offered two free larger sizes of ice cream the next time we stopped in. Okay, its a chain store that I actually like. The concept here is cool. Create your own sundae from the selection of mix-ins, or choose one of their signature blends. On me recent visits we choose one of the signature blends Strawberry & Banana with Pie Crust. It was yummy and one was perfect for sharing with my husband. The other flavor combination that we had recently was the banana ice cream with chocolate and peanut butter mixed in. Delicious. There is something about the consistency of the ice cream wit the mix-ins that is different and defiantly better here that getting ice cream from other establishments in the area.
