ordered a medium reese's blizzard, then received a small. when i said i asked for a medium the worker caught an attitude with me and snapped at me saying that i was only charged for a small. i didn't say anything because the total for a small blizzard (my boyfriends) and what i thought was a medium was $15 and i was not paying extra to get the medium that i asked for. they gave me a medium which was good so i didn't have to pay anything else. i then drove home come to find out they had given me a butterfinger blizzard. really disappointed with the attitude of the staff and the lack of effort, especially when it comes to the toppings for the blizzards. yikes. read more

Terrible ice cream. The ice cream was not mixed to well and it tasted very bland. Although it was quick it wasn't very good.

I try to avoid gluttonous food but after 3 very long days of work, I decided to treat myself. It is a small building. You know this upon arrival when parking outside. There was a mother with children and another man in front of me when ordering. It took about 1 minute, if that, before I could order. I feel that is pretty dang efficient. There were 2 girls working the blizzard and ice cream machines. They were creating these fantastic treats like nobody's business. The mother with the kids: the boys order cones, which were up instantly. The mother ordered a blizzard, which does take more than 25 seconds to whip up. It was maybe 1 minute, if that after her 2nd son received his dipped cone that the blizzard came out. This woman, who is obviously unhappy with herself and her life, was totally mean to these innocent girls that were making the treats. She rolled her eyes at them and was commenting about how unhappy she was. She stormed out. The employees were speechless. I felt so bad. When they made up my blizzard I did my best to console them, explaining that some people are just miserable and they want everyone else to be miserable too. I work at a store in Bayshore mall. I recognized all employees working were actually working. They were very polite, well spoken, and extremely efficient. This customer was wrong to act this way toward them. I actually told them to please apply to the the store where I work because we need help and I recognized they were very good employees. I didn't take my receipt or ask their names, but it was 3 girls. My time of visit was approximately 4:45pm on August 25, 2018. In terms of food: my turtle pecan blizzard was everything I could have asked for and then some. I wish this location had the full menu because the DQ cheeseburger and chicken strip baskets are pretty amazing. My visit today, in terms of employee interaction and how they handled a very rude customer, was definitely 5 star. I know I am going to gain 3 pounds from my blizzard but it was my conscious decision to consume these calories. I will likely make this poor delicious again after an extremely long, 6 day work week. If all the employees are as kind and respectful as the ones I met today, then it makes my experience totally worth it :) read more

Small walkup counter dq with limited menu. Outside seating only. This is wisconsin so that means take out only for more than half of the year. There are no bathrooms at this location, patents be warned. Staff was ok at best, the guy mixing blizzards was unhappy to be at work and it showed in the messiest, most poorly mixed blizzard I've ever seen. I took off 1 star for the no bathroom thing. Kids love this place but when they eat they need a bathroom. Also it would be nice for sticky kids to be able to wash their hands. read more

Called location to inquire whether I could pre-pay for a premade ice cream cake from the cooler, for pick-up. I explained I am in a different state, but wanted the cake for someone in MKE who had a birthday. The store personnel was a rude female, who abruptly stated thus was not the general information line, but a store line. IKR I'm inquiring to pre-pay for a cake, I thought I made that clear. She proceeds to say no same day service is available. I ask 'just to pick up a premade cake in the case?' She hangs up on me. Called back got a guy who was trying to be helpful and defuse the situation, knowing what had transpired. He was willingly stating he could fulfill my order, at which point I declined & told him I would not be comfortable having them prepare any food, I would not take the chance something was done improperly to food my family would consume. Life is both better and worse when you live near a Dairy Queen - better because you can have tasty Blizzards just about any time you want them... and worse because you can have tasty Blizzards just about any time you want them (in which case, it's good that Bayshore is up the road so that you can, er, adjust your wardrobe accordingly). This is a typical, small DQ with outdoor seating - indoors is reserved for ordering, moving to the other side, and picking up your dessert. It's not cheap - a small Blizzard runs around $4 here - but it's still pretty darn good. They have both the DQ and Orange Julius menu, so you can get smoothies or ice cream depending on your craving. The staff here tend to be on the younger side, as you might expect with an ice cream shop, and they're generally friendly and fast to get you in and out with your food. read more

This used to be a familiar place in my home town of Oklahoma City, but alas the Queen of "Brazier" Foods (which is defined as cooking by exposure to coals) is long gone from my neck of the woods. Every time I go to another city or state that still has the DQ, I have to stop in as if being lured by sirens to get a dipped cone. Oh, that tasty vanilla cone dipped in a warm, thin layer of chocolate that hardens into a delicious little shell. This soon becomes so much more than a tasty treat. It's a game of love and messiness. The shell holds back the melting soft serve and with every bite the shell cracks and breaks creating the possibility of creamy lava flowing over the cone and onto your shirt. Your tongue dances to restrain the spill until eventually you are left with a contained ice cream and classic cake cone delight. It all comes to an end when you remove that little paper wrapper at the bottom for the last couple of bites of cone....and I'm spent. I'll see you again in the next town little dipped cone. Until then, my heart pines for you when I'm at home and I can't have you...which is probably a good thing for my waistline. read more

DQ, a small town America favorite. Went to this location on a disgustingly hot night and it was packed. The setup leaves a bit to be desired because of no frosty indoor air conditioned seating. HOWEVER, with a jam packed house these guys really know how to move. In, ordered and Blizzard in hand within about 5 minutes. I'm sure no one knows as well as these folks how testy someone can get when they are hot and hungry for ice cream. Amazing job by the staff here. read more

I enjoyed my chili cheese dog and blizzard 10 feet away from the dumpster, while temps just above freezing and winds averaging 33 mph throughout the day. Why wouldn't someone seek shelter within the restaurant with such conditions? Well this DQ has no indoor seating, that's okay, because the weather I experienced was in no comparison to the icy, cold stares I was met with inside by the DQ staff. I moved to the area after not having a DQ by me for some time, It's really disheartening to hear they don't serve waffle cones anymore, absolutely LOVED those things. It's a neat lil place, most of the employees are high schoolers who are friendly and get you in and out, but they're are some that are just rude and give you a sideways glance only to pretend to not hear you or say something about you on the way out. In the Bayshore/Shorewood area lies this small little place that serve wonderful ice cream. Dairy queen is the place. Its on East Hampton Ave near the laundry mat. Its small and doesn't have a drive through. It reminded me of a old time diner type of place. The prices were good and we were in and out. I normally dont yelp chains establishments. I went to go grab some ice cream one night at a local DQ - the one just south of Bayshore Mall. I knew the hours said until 10:00PM, and I got there at 9:50PM. Much to my disappointment, the lights were on, and the doors were locked. I knocked on the door, and even made eye contact with the woman working there (after she looked up from texting on her cell phone). She then proceeded to go hide out in the back of the restaurant. I will tell you this; I'm bringing my business to Copps and Culvers from now on, and never coming back to this DQ!!! read more

A great spot to get a blizzard. There isn't much of a view as their parking lot / area where you'd potentially eat faces hampton and passing traffic. However, the park is literally feet away, so you can always take your DQ treat there! read more

Love this place! Close enough for a bike ride there. The high school age people working are typical rude don't care about their jobs but one night the owner (husband) was there talking to the customers, cleaning tables, and asking how service was. As someone who is in customer service I respect an owner to take time to check in with customers and get down and dirty cleaning I appreciate it. Only thing I recommend is watching the people you hire, their attitudes can ruin a customer returning. read more

The manager Amy is very rude and unprofessional. I wasn't given a receipt for my purchases and when I got my order it was wrong. I then asked her to give me my receipt ...... I was then told that I should have asked for it at the time of purchase. I explained that I order a combo and she told me that she can't look it up and if I wanted a combo I would have to pay again. read more

We come to this Dairy Queen a lot- 245 E. Hampton Ave. in Milwaukee. They consistently "short" your serving of Blizzards. The ice cream does not come up over the sides of the cup like it does at other DQ's or on the advertising! read more

I use to like this place and location about a year ago, but I recently went there and was very disappointed, so never again will I go to this location. The person was downright very rude and mean and it was expensive for what you, I'm actually surprised it's able to stay in business when its so expensive and the people are rude.
