Ordered an ice cream cake and although it was very good we noticed the cake didn't match what we expected and what was shown online. 2 ways of error. 1. The website says "2 layers" on both the petite cake and the largest rectangle cake. The picture for the petite cake shows what I would call 2 layers; Cake, ice cream, cake, ice cream, frosting. The rectangle cake we got was cake, ice cream, frosting. 2. We did not receive/get to choose a mid layer that is supposed to be some kind of sauce from the website. I say this to kind of warn someone in the future. Ensure you ask/request it look like the website. The ice cream here is just like the other cold stone locations. I ordered a "like it" with peanut butter and reese cups. I received great customer service today at this locations. The staff members were very friendly and inviting. They provided the friendliest service I've had in a long time. I have always encountered friendly staff, and the flavors aren't rediculously diverse, but it's the toppings you put inside that make your ice cream interesting. If you've never been, they scoop the ice cream out and you ask for toppings and they mix it right on the frozen countertop. Kind of an interesting concept. I'd give it 3.5 if I could. We arrived 30 minutes before the posted closing time on 31Dec to learn the owner was kindly allowing his employees to knock off a little early for New Years. Seeing my 11 year old daughter standing dejected by my side, he then unlocked the door and handmade her ice cream dish while his employees finished the close down procedures. This Cold Stone is ALWAYS super busy. The ice cream is always pretty good in my opinion. I always get the same thing, though - Birthday cake remix or a Cake n Shake with strawberries added in. We arrived at 1:00pm and the cake was never made. I am extremely disappointed as I promised a cake made exactly as my relative ordered. Someone dropped the ball big time.
