Not a single worker seemed happy to be there, and when we were given our ice cream, they practically threw it down on the counter! I love cold stone, I've always loved their ice cream since I was a kid, but this location has very poor service. I came in with my boyfriend and cousin and the workers were very rude. From sarcastic remarks to rolling their eyes to low speaking in a crowded store as they asked our orders. We promised our kids ice cream after the park, and were right in the Mayfair area so we stopped! Due to covid you will have to wait outside because there are only 10 people allowed in at a time. After our wait, we were pleasantly surprised! Tons of different flavors of ice cream as well as options for mix-ins. The selection for cookies and candy to mix into your ice cream is BIG. If you aren't in the mood for just ice cream you can select a shake or cake! My kids love this place because of all the kid friendly options (cotton candy w/ gummy bears seems to always be the MVP). Now that there's only one location here and they don't open up until noon and are across town in Mayfaire I rarely ever go there. So for my birthday I got a reward for BOGO and the day I was planning on using it I checked their website for flavors and pricing because I know everything has went up these past few years. Imagine my shock and surprise when I saw that the medium size(pint) that I usually got was $8.99!!! Nine dollars!! I can buy a half gallon of ice cream for much less regardless how many mixins you can get with theirs. I know prices had to go up but I refuse to pay nine dollars for a pint or two because you get one free. I recently got two pints of sorbet from Harris Teeter for $5 and they even had some other frozen treats under $5 like gelato or name brands like Tillamook under five dollars. read more

Cold Stone is my favorite place to get ice cream. I have to go back every once in a while because I start to crave it when I haven't gone! I went here earlier tonight with my boyfriend and we were both raving about it. I almost always get the Cookie Doughn't You Want Some signature creation in the "like it" size. This is their smallest size but it is always very filling! I've also tried theirs All Lovin' No Oven signature creation and it was extremely tasty as well. Cold Stone is a tad on the pricey side. Clueless employees. Waited in line with my daughter for about ten minutes. When we were next, an employee came up and greeted the family behind us an took one order. Then another employee and took their second order. All the while I stood there confused. I finally asked if I was in the right spot to order, thinking this was an honest mistake and giving the employee an out to just take our order. Instead, she asked if I had order yet and began asking the other employees if they had taken my order. To make matters worse, instead of just taking the order she went to get the manager. Mistakes happen. Just rectify them. I left when they couldn't seem to figure out how to overcome this dilemma. read more

I waited in line at least 20 minutes but I was next. That is until they announced they'd be closing the store early, as in right then. They wouldn't be taking my order or the line of people behind me. It was 9:00 on the dot. I can understand closing early but at least serve the guests that have stood outside waiting. Three of us waited 15 minutes and we all ordered the same thing, their small Like It, Signature Creation. Two of us selected waffle cones but one of us just asked for it in their Like It cup. The price for the waffle cone should have added $.99 and the paper cup should have been free. The cost was one waffle cone Signature was $5.29 total, one waffle cone Signature was $6.29 total and the cup Signature was $6.74. Coldstone Creamery used to be my favorite place for ice cream at Brier Creek in Raleigh but if you're looking for ice cream in Wilmington, I would keep searching. read more

My wife and I stopped in last night for some sweet treats. We love this place! I was undecided as to what I should get, but Alex led me down the right path and I settled on a mix of Cookie Dough and Milk & Cookies! It was an excellent choice! My wife got classic Chocolate with chocolate chips. What made this trip special was the excellent costumer service of Alex and Carlee. They were both very nice and served us with smiles. Walked in and waited for about 10 minutes, in that time no one came out to help me, like I didn't see or hear any employees at all in the store. It was 7:30, the store doesn't close until 9:00, and me and my friend called out fairly loudly twice, not to mention the door had a ringer on it. Upon walking out we saw a guy smoking a cigarette, who quickly ran into the back employee door after making eye contact with my friend, and we heard a girl laughing inside when he opened the door. Went there at 8:30 at night. They were not busy there was one customer in front of us. The girl was not very kind to us when we asked about one of the creations. We had three orders of ice cream all Like it sized. When she made them, she took half on the ice cream out!! Like half of my brownie and the recese cup was out. She slapped the ice cream in there with it missing half on the prep board. When I asked if I could have the part that she didn't put on there as I knew they were going to throw it away. She responded that she always makes too much and I needed to pay for it..... just super disappointed because my 6$ ice cream small was disappointing. It sounds good when you're reading the signs but it's not worth the hype. And there is always a long wait. That's a big turn off especially if you're going there before your movie starts.
