Jessica was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly attentive to detail, responsive to all of our questions, and so kind throughout the entire process. She helped guide us through decisions like linen colors and managed all of our guests' dietary needs with care, including accommodating gluten-free guests and a bridal party member with severe food allergies. We also had several children attending our wedding, and she coordinated kids meals which was such a very thoughtful touch. Jessica and the entire team made everything feel seamless--we're so grateful for her part in making our day perfect!!

The owners are dishonest. They stated they would pay my family back our deposit for my June 2015…read morewedding if they booked that day. They never told us about the wedding they ended up booking; we found out about the wedding and they refused to talk to us much less refund us what they said they would. My parents took them to small claims court and won the case, and they still won't pay. If they had just told us that we could not have our deposit back, we would have made it work. But they chose to get an extra pay day instead. I would not want to have such uncaring, dishonest people in charge of such a special day in my life. And you can see from other reviews that this is a part of how they make a living. I hope I saved someone some stress and disappointment by finally posting our experience.

Due to crazy Covid, we had some miscommunication and I thought all hope was lost, but Rev Rick didn't take long to correct the mistake! The gazebo is beautiful. The deck is lighted so nicely. The bridal and groom suites were comfortable. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves sans options setup for move inside if weather necessary. We brought our own officiant & photographer, etc but Rev Rick helped setup our decor, shuttled around our family on the golf cart, and was just overall ready and willing to help with a smile. Cindy does an unbelievable job in coordinating the event. She is quick to offer suggestions that can put those special touches on your day! Many of these vendors will offer you special rates and packages when they know you are having your wedding at the Castle. The staff there is friendly, attentive and a real pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding the entire staff really shines. We had some of the family that could not go to the buffet and get their food. Without saying a word the staff talked to the disabled guests and made plates for them. I cannot say enough about this place. We had TONS of complements from friends, family and other guests about how wonderful and special the wedding was.

When we started looking a year ago for a venue for my son's wedding in 2023 (this year), we chose this venue because it was small, charming and very affordable- it was under a different name and ownership. In March of this year (2023) it was sold, and purchased by Southern Grace Event Center. Our wedding was not going to be until June and honestly I had no idea what to expect- from renovations to change in ownership. Let me say, on June 3rd, we could not have asked for a more beautiful setting for a wedding! The venue was BREATHTAKING. The changes and upgrades included an open chapel with beautiful architectural design, new bride and groom suites, a completely renovated indoor reception hall with exposed beams on the ceiling, new chandeliers and floor to ceiling stone fireplace, a covered patio w a fireplace and a passthrough window from the bar (we used this as a cigar bar patio) as well as stunning gardens that included a waterfall, blooming roses and hydrangeas. IT WAS AMAZING! And, the new owner John was a joy to work with--so delightful and accommodating. He honored everything in our original contract and more. Amber was calm and helped to make many back up plans. Fortunately, it didn't rain and Amber worked so hard to get everything in place once the rain stopped for my dream outdoor ceremony. She truly made my vision come to life. She was there when I needed her and was always willing to lend a helping hand to us. RUN! This company is a SCAM! We hired Amber for our wedding we had scheduled for October 2020. We…read morehired her for both wedding coordination and also as our florist. In our initial conversations, months away from the big day, she seemed great but as we approached that date I had trouble getting ahold of her for a few weeks, which come to find out she had surgery - no problem but professionally you'd think you would give your clients a head up on something like that. She apologized, but my gut just didn't feel right. We scheduled a venue walk through which I had decided would help me make a decision on whether or not to keep her. We met for the walkthrough and she seemed super nice and eager which made me feel better. One thing that was odd, is during the walkthrough she didn't use a measuring tape to get dimensions, she would pick them up and trace them on a piece of paper. This was another red flag of unprofessionalism. We ended up postponing our wedding due to Covid since we were having a destination wedding and my family was unable to fly. Our new wedding date was moved to October 22, 2021. Amber asked us if we were going to pay the rest of our invoice in 2020 which was also odd. We had already paid the deposits for floral and wedding coordination services ($900) but why would we make another $2,000 payment a year before our new wedding date? Again, a little off-putting. This year (2021), I heard from Amber in March just checking in on us which was really nice! I thought maybe she just had a hard year in 2020 due to Covid and now that things had settled down she was back on her A-game. In September, (2 months away from the wedding) I reached out to her to pay the rest of our invoice but we had an item missing so I asked her to put that on and I'd take care of the final payment. She responded that she would and then two weeks went by with no changes on our invoice. We got an email from her assistant Kelsey (I never knew she had an assistant) saying that Amber had been ill for a few weeks and she was stepping in and would be reaching out to each of us to discuss our weddings. I have not heard from either of them since!!! I have emailed, called, texted and NOTHING! At this point I had 1 month to find a florist and a new wedding coordinator. I should have trusted my gut last year and cut her loose then. I've seen 3 other reviews claiming the same problems. I was afraid that she was really sick so I've been nice in all my communications but 3 days after our wedding I saw her post an IG story of her at another wedding. She can't be "seriously ill" if she's attending other weddings. This is truly a sick scam. We are heading to our honeymoon but I will be filing any reports I can on Better Business Bureau and speaking with a family friend who is a lawyer to see what further action can be taken. Small claims court - whatever it takes. I think she's betting that no one will waste their time or money to get their deposits back but I'm not going to sit back and let her take from anyone else if I can help it.
