No stars. There is no point in renting from Coldwell. After renting from CB for years, it has finally become too much. Places are dirty, in disrepair, & little or no assistance from CB. Everything is 'on the owner' Customer service & acknowledgment of conditions is minimal. Pictures advertising place are false. Actual conditions are disgraceful. Where is the patio furniture on balconies? How does this umbrella function? Who would use this chair?

Below is an email I sent Coldwell Banker yesterday morning concerning a property we rented. I have yet to hear a response! I will never use them again! We tried to cancel in April due to COVID and they refused to refund our money. This has been a nightmare working with them. There are multiple issues with the rental and I wanted to inform you. The sliding doors (bedroom and living room) are not sliding properly and very hard to open and close. The bedroom slider was open when we arrived. The bedroom slider can not be shut from the porch. It must be lifted up from inside to shut properly. There are multiple stains on the carpet, both heat fan knobs in each bathroom are missing, the slider doors to a/c unit/storage closet fall off the tracks, the living room furniture is disgusting. The sofa and both chairs are stained and dirty. The handle is broken off the living room Recliner (the handle was sitting on the tv stand). The window blinds are missing in spots and bedroom and living room blinds can not be closed (turned) or open to keep the light out or people from looking in, the chains are broken on each one. The batteries in multiple remotes don't work and some are corroded in the remote with battery acid. I have attached pictures to show the damage and filth. We are VERY disappointed! We do not want to be blamed for any of this. I'm going out today to purchase extra sheets and blankets to cover the chairs and sofa. I would never recommend your company for rental properties. We paid a lot of money to stay in this condo and it is a huge disappointment.

Checked into Golden Sands looking for TV Remote and find this in drawer next to bed. Someone had fun but yet disgusting to find

Don't rent 3601 Canal St, #6. One tiny window A/C unit in the living room. No A/C unit in the bedroom. Bathroom does not have any AC outlets, no towel racks, no exhaust fan and the sink base draw fronts fall off when opened. The shower door is full of mold. The TV, Cable box, wifi AND the A/C unit are plugged into one outlet. Plus, NO ASSIGNED parking, and parking is like NYC. I think I'm done with renting in Ocean City, MD.

plumber came 3 times and finally swapped out the kitchen faucet

Never again... and we really, really, most politely and most humbly tried, despite being…read moredisrespected and disregarded by Vacasa (formerly Coldwell Banker) at every turn: 1. 5 PM 05/11, we carried luggage to ocean-view 13th floor, keys envelope confirmed Condo 1318 reservation 2. Our keys from check-in envelope did not work for Condo 1318, and I questioned the keys with Security 3. Security "confirmed" we must instead use the non-agreed low-floor Rm 318, overtired we reluctantly unpacked 4. Traveling since 2 AM, we discover water shut off in Condo 318, we could not use showers or toilets. We contacted building, Vacasa via AirBnB, and Vacasa via phone. 5. Waited nearly 2 hours, then Assistant Manager phoned me and provided steps for me to turn on Condo water myself, as she did not want to make the drive in 6. Next day 05/12, the correct guest party for Condo 318 walked in on us, they expressed high anger 7. We calmed the situation, walked with them down to your office, and initiated resolution with Vacasa 8. Our party of 5 was instructed ny Vacasa manager to quickly pack our belongings and swiftly relocate to Condo 1318 9. Housekeeping arrived quickly and began cleaning Condo 318, clumsily on top of us as we frantically packed 10. We carried our belongs back up to Condo 1318, our original reservation, and once again unpacked to try to restart our stay 11. We then frantically scrambled to meet with our grief counselor/therapist, late to our first session The first two days experience with Vacasa and Golden Sands simply added to our misery considering the purpose of this "sequester for grief counseling" trip to heal from the suicide death of our oldest child who was amazingly selfless and happily married. Despite our frustrations, we only treated the premises and staff with the fullest respect, and we left Condo 318 and 1318 in superb condition. Never again. We had been cautioned by previous Vacasa guests, and we had to learn our lesson the hard way. This was our experience. All we can say is that we cannot offer our endorsement.

This has been the absolute worst beach place Ive ever had the displeasure of stayinf in. Even worse…read morethan a few years ago where some of the appliances were close to 20 years old. White Sands Village Unit 18 is old and run down. The only thing it needs are people who care about it. Lets start off with the sliding doors being wide open when we arrived. Flies were all over the main level and weve been swatting for 4 days. There are no screens on the doors so we cant open them to get fresh air. There was a ceiling leak above the bed and two weeks ago it stained part of the mattress and the bed skirt. It looks like puke but no one thought to come check on it or even clean it. The microwave was nasty, the freezer is dirty, there were dishes in the dishwasher. The carpet looks like it hasnt been steamed in a very long time because u can see dirt along the shades spots when the sunlight comes in. I dont even walk around in my bare feet. I spoke to the lady in charge of upkeep and she just took the bed skirt off. Then she mentioned that shes shocked that the ceiling didnt leak last night when it rained. Well if I had know there were issues I wouldnt of booked at all. I showed her everything that was wrong with the place. She couldnt have the screens out back in because they are broken. Why rent it out if we cant enjoy the little things. Coldwell wasnt any help either...i complained to them and do you think that the call taker said, Oh Im sorry that this has happened?". Customer service 101 is to apologize first and foremost. So to Vicki at Coldwell on 120th street rentals, maybe you need to sit back and take a look at your career because obviously its not customer service. Oh and I almost forgot, there is a broken lock on one of the doors leading to the deck. Funny because yesterday kids from the unit next door were on my deck. Good thing they werent thieves because we cant lock our doors. This is the last time we rent from Coldwell. Good job!

Adjust your expectations. This is not a hotel. You will need to bring your linen, toilet paper,…read morepaper towels, and knife if you have groceries. Be prepared to carry everything upstairs. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, but the condition of the room is dated. If you can pass this, you will have nice beach vacation. The parking is one car provided right by the entrance. Nice view from semi-private balcony. Rooms are small. Location is great.

A long time ago in a place far away (well, nearly 50 years ago, and as far south as you can go and…read morestill remain in the north)... ...there was a place called Residencial Vaca. It was a hotel that set a very high bar; a bar so high that a bedbug couldn't peer over it. For that reason alone I've always assumed the bar was permanently set. But we all know that when you take such a stance, you make an ___ out of U and ME. I say that because, ladies and gentlemen, the bar has indeed moved. Its new placement grants our loveable bedbug pal an unfettered view. This leaves it's neighbour, a poor and unsuspecting paramæcium, with the blocked view. But where, pray tell, did this monumental event happen? Why, I'm so glad you asked! It happened at none other than the astonishing Boardwalk Terrace Apartments in Ocean City, MD. Incidentally, before we get too far away from "lofty heights", please note that a few areas in the property aren't friendly to anything larger than a bar of soap. For example, the nook passing for the office in the basement has a ceiling on the high end of the 5' range, and the superfund cleanup site posing as the boardwalk access is a smelly, dirty, litter filled, slippery trip hazard that is barely 4' wide. The actual and sole entrance to Boardwalk Terrace Apartments is at the rear of the building. I mention this because multiple mapping/GPS routing methods all direct you to its front (which is on the boardwalk). The aforementioned rear is located off an alley that is barely wide enough to fit a car, let alone the trucks making deliveries to adjacent businesses. Heaven help you if a delivery truck happens to be in the alley when trying to get through, because that scenario results in a blockage that can make atherosclerosis look like a cakewalk. However, this and the boardwalk access situation, are more a series of municipal issues that had the misfortune of getting entangled in the bigger picture. The aforementioned alley also happens to be the only _fully_ ADA compliant element on the premises. Depending on the disability, accessibility will likely end at the structure, which is a walk-up. The narrow stairway has no anti-skid features, misaligned handrails, and is hazardous to the visually impaired. If you occupy the "penthouse", you'll use an even narrower stairway behind a private door on the third floor to gain access. Those stairs have a low overhang at the top.  If you're still with us, let's talk about the accommodations: Unless you get really lucky for some mysterious reason, you'll find damaged drop ceilings, rust and mould, damaged wall paneling and drywall, damaged floor tiles, doors and floors that aren't plumb, damaged cabinets, furnishings made at the start of the first millennium, iffy outlets, and appliances even a charity would reject.  The Old Testament only cites ten plagues befalling Egypt because no words could be found to describe the eleventh: The state of the bathrooms. These wonders of the world proudly feature dingy fixtures, and commodes that were already well past their prime when Moses was born. They're also likely the real reason why his parents sent him floating down the Nile. Putting it another way, some of the sinks are clamoring on u-bended knees for a plumber to euthanize them! The ceiling lights give off a harsh light best suited for a sporting facility. If you prefer a softer light, there's a few table lamps. However, not all of them worked because they were missing bulbs, had burned out bulbs, or because the CFL's glass was broken! Please note that CFLs contain Mercury, a neurotoxin, so specific cleanup procedures are required (see https://www.epa.gov/mercury/cleaning-broken-cfl). If after all of this you're _still_ considering a stay here, know the following: * Management provides fitted sheets, pillows, and bedspreads. Please bring all of your own bedding. * The cleanliness of the dishes, cutlery, and cookware is dubious, so bring those too. * Bring hangers, TP, paper towels, bath towels, and bath mats. * The property claims to clean the suites before check-in, but our findings were quite the opposite. * Garbage bags are not provided. Long story short: Camping in the wilderness is much more appealing. It's a far less expensive option, comes in at a fraction of the cost, and includes none the aforementioned headaches or biohazards. That staying at Boardwalk Terrace Apartments will require a set of brass balls is an understatement. Fortunately you'll find those at the saloon next door. In all fairness, I should also mention some positives about Boardwalk Terrace Apartments: * Pets are welcome upon request, albeit for a fee.  * The boardwalk is a few steps away, but avoid the passage. * Your room key at the pizza shop at the front of the building nets you a 10% discount.  * And finally, there's a nighttime noise curfew in the building, so there won't be any wild parties going on.

I understand that South Bethany beach is awesome because I've been renting houses here for years…read more The problem is the companies who manage the rental properties. They would make you think that the home owners of the properties they manage are terrible people that have no interest in maintaining their own homes. In just over two weeks of staying in the same house this summer they didn't repair a broken toilet, bring the appropriate light bulbs for the bathroom, offer any compensation for a bedroom that flooded twice during our trip rendering it unusable for days, replace an empty gas tank for the grill, or repair dangerous bunk beds in the unusable swamp room. There maintenance staff is a full blown clown show that doesn't have an effectively communicating manager. How do I know this? I know this because every time some comes to the house they don't know why they have been dispatched to the house. The bottom line is try and find a house rented by the owner directly so if you have a problem you can contact someone who cares, not resort quest who has a ton of properties and don't care if you ever rent from them again.
