No, no, no!!!! Rented a property from here with a 3 p.m. check in. Arrived at the condo around 3:40 p.m. to find that it was filthy! Dirty diapers in one bathroom and trash in the other bathroom. Crumbs, cheese and dirty utensils in the kitchen. Floors were filthy and that is just the tip of the iceberg. The front door does not latch, or close for that matter, so you have to use the deadbolt. Called the company and they did sent someone out to clean the condo but never got a follow up from the company. You would not have read this review it someone had just called to check in with us. They were the deal breaker in whether ocean city was in our vacation future. Back to Myrtle next year!!! . read more

The worst possible customer service. I don't know what it's like for the tenants, but as an owner I can attest to their gross incompetence and utter indifference. If you own a rental property, they will rent it to absolute savages who will destroy your property. Even if you come in as soon as the tenant leaves and see the damage with your own eyes, CB will refuse to hold back any security deposit. Oddly though lots of complaints here are from tenants who rented garbage units through CB and were docked security for clogging drains. Funny because I was told today that clogging brand new plumbing is "wear and tear." Maybe CB is just a giant scam on both ends. The owners get treated like garbage and so do the tenants. I've had either reckless tenants or terrible cleaning crews. But there is no recourse with the tenants when they damage your unit. And they will damage your unit. Vicki Burrs knows one answer to a problem--we don't care. That's her go to when lying doesn't work. But she'll lie too. If you're renting in OC, stay away from CB 118th street. If you own a rental unit stay away from CB Vacations 118th street. Go directly to Vacasa. Hopefully once the transition is over, Vacasa will fire the rude, incompetent staff and replace them with people who take pride in their work. They're a disgrace to the service industry. These agencies are holding on by a thread because AirB&B provides better service for renters and better property management for owners. Plus they cut out the lazy inept middle men. I came here for a nice vacation and had one but had severa issues. Upon checking in the house was dirty. The fridge was stained bread was left under the bed, the floor had not been vacuumed and the trundle bed had not been cleaned. Additionally as an African American tenant I had issues with the security guards the security guard felt the need to ask " was I staying here" when he saw me get out of my car. He then asked for my room Number I did not give it because I was not going to play his games. I had a parking Pass in my car!! Lastly when I called customer service to raise the issue the agent was very rude and insensitive. Never again... and we really, really, most politely and most humbly tried, despite being disrespected and disregarded by Vacasa (formerly Coldwell Banker) at every turn: 1. 5 PM 05/11, we carried luggage to ocean-view 13th floor, keys envelope confirmed Condo 1318 reservation 2. Our keys from check-in envelope did not work for Condo 1318, and I questioned the keys with Security 3. Security "confirmed" we must instead use the non-agreed low-floor Rm 318, overtired we reluctantly unpacked 4. Traveling since 2 AM, we discover water shut off in Condo 318, we could not use showers or toilets. We contacted building, Vacasa via AirBnB, and Vacasa via phone. 5. Waited nearly 2 hours, then Assistant Manager phoned me and provided steps for me to turn on Condo water myself, as she did not want to make the drive in 6. Next day 05/12, the correct guest party for Condo 318 walked in on us, they expressed high anger 7. We calmed the situation, walked with them down to your office, and initiated resolution with Vacasa 8. Our party of 5 was instructed ny Vacasa manager to quickly pack our belongings and swiftly relocate to Condo 1318 9. Housekeeping arrived quickly and began cleaning Condo 318, clumsily on top of us as we frantically packed 10. We carried our belongs back up to Condo 1318, our original reservation, and once again unpacked to try to restart our stay 11. We then frantically scrambled to meet with our grief counselor/therapist, late to our first session The first two days experience with Vacasa in Ocean City MD simply added to our misery considering the purpose of this "sequester for grief counseling" trip to heal from the suicide death of our oldest child who was amazingly selfless and happily married. Despite our frustrations, we only treated the premises and staff with the fullest respect, and we left Condo 318 and 1318 in superb condition. Never again. We had been cautioned by previous Vacasa guests, and we had to learn our lesson the hard way. This was our experience. All we can say is that we cannot offer our endorsement. read more

Below is an email I sent Coldwell Banker yesterday morning concerning a property we rented. I have yet to hear a response! I will never use them again! We tried to cancel in April due to COVID and they refused to refund our money. This has been a nightmare working with them. There are multiple issues with the rental and I wanted to inform you. The sliding doors (bedroom and living room) are not sliding properly and very hard to open and close. The bedroom slider was open when we arrived. The bedroom slider can not be shut from the porch. It must be lifted up from inside to shut properly. There are multiple stains on the carpet, both heat fan knobs in each bathroom are missing, the slider doors to a/c unit/storage closet fall off the tracks, the living room furniture is disgusting. The sofa and both chairs are stained and dirty. The handle is broken off the living room Recliner (the handle was sitting on the tv stand). The window blinds are missing in spots and bedroom and living room blinds can not be closed (turned) or open to keep the light out or people from looking in, the chains are broken on each one. The batteries in multiple remotes don't work and some are corroded in the remote with battery acid. I have attached pictures to show the damage and filth. We are VERY disappointed! We do not want to be blamed for any of this. I'm going out today to purchase extra sheets and blankets to cover the chairs and sofa. I would never recommend your company for rental properties. We paid a lot of money to stay in this condo and it is a huge disappointment. read more

Thinking we were going to get a nice ocean front condo ...fans were filthy had really thick dust on them. Dirt all over the floor, table and counter was dirty. There was literally a pile of dirt and debris in the small hall closet. A cabinet door and chair is broken, too. I had to spend an hour or so cleaning the fans and tables. They said they would send a cleaning service the next day but we didn't want to sleep under these fans. One had dust actually hanging off the fan. Was so happy to know we were would have an ocean front condo only to find out the screen door is broken. So no breeze or fresh air for us now. A benefit of having ocean front is being able to have that great breeze. Went and asked the manager if she thought we could get the door fixed before our time was up. She rudely said she couldnt and added "what do you want me to do?" It's not like we got this condo for free and have no right to complain. Lesson learned I guess. read more

Worst rental unit ever. Filthy, outdated, mold everywhere in bedrooms and bathrooms. Found clothes in drawers; mattresses must have been 20 years old; bedding was unimaginable; kitchen so dirty I didn't want any food there. The bottom fell out of the silverware drawer. The commodes were sloooow flushing; sanitas wall coverings were peeling; shower curtain moldy etc etc. The frig made lots of ice but froze everything else too. The diswasher worked well as did the microwave. The furnishings are so old its hard to believe. The decorations are nothing but full of dust. Recently booked a place for a beach/golf group in OCMD in August, 2020. Unfortunately, due to the travel ban in PA placed after we booked that mandated anyone going to Maryland be quarantined for 2 weeks (half of the group are essential employees) we could not afford an additional 2 weeks off to self-quarantine. When cancelling, this agency did not care and kept half of the money that we paid (over $900), despite also getting travel insurance (wouldn't cover cancellation). This isn't the end... It is advertised that the company will reimburse you the 50% they were willing to return in under a week (I think 3-4 days). Well, I cancelled on August 3 and it is now August 25, I have yet to receive my check. I have called 8/14 and was told they are "Still processing", called on 8/25 and they said "a check was cut on 8/18 but probably didn't get mailed until 8/21. If the check isn't there today or tomorrow, call back to void the check and another one will be sent." I understand the Coronavirus has caused a lot of difficulty to many companies and families. However, they kept half our money and have yet to pay the other half totaling over $1,800. What about the consumer? What about me and my family? This was the worst experience booking and cancelling a trip I have ever experienced and was never even able to see the place. Don't rent 3601 Canal St, #6. One tiny window A/C unit in the living room. No A/C unit in the bedroom. Bathroom does not have any AC outlets, no towel racks, no exhaust fan and the sink base draw fronts fall off when opened. The shower door is full of mold. The TV, Cable box, wifi AND the A/C unit are plugged into one outlet. Plus, NO ASSIGNED parking, and parking is like NYC. I think I'm done with renting in Ocean City, MD. read more

Rented ALWAYS SUMMER SANDY POINT RD 641 - BAHAMAS BCH COT in 2019. My husband, 2 girls, and myself had a great week at the beach and when we inquired about 2020 we were told the owners went into the house right after we left and said it smelled like curry and they would not rent to us again. We cooked steak and burgers on the outside grill twice that week and ate out the remainder of the 7 days. None of us have ever even eaten curry! My only conclusion is that the owners saw us at some point that week, noticed that my NATIVE AMERICAN skin looked a little darker than the rest of my family's, picked the wrong type of Indian to discriminate against, and to disguise their racism they blamed the type of food they thought I ate (curry). We rented a home in Bethany Beach, Delaware, took very good care of the place, and CB Vacations withheld $88 from our security deposit for "spot cleaning under the table". Well, we got the bad end of the stick this year after renting from CB for 10 years. They have been going downhill year after year. Especially their cleaning service. And the unit prices going up because of the current situation I feel like we have to pay for the loss of the owners who didn't make enough cash. The floors were dirty with tons of dust under both beds and the tv unit (photo attached), We didn't even have TV service, it may have been stream only in room 304B of the White Marlin marina and we don't stream, the 1 bedroom it had, had no dressers to put clothes in so we lived out of our bags for 7 days, the light switches controlling the 2 bathrooms and shower room were not hooked up right, there was leaks in the ceiling in the unit below us do to the new plumbing for both the shower and the kitchen sink because the job wasn't done right when they remodeled 8 months ago, we actually had the plumber in our unit for several hours 3 days out of the 7 we were there (photos attached), the woman in the unit below us called to report damage in her unit because of this. Because of this the plumber had to swap out the entire kitchen faucet. We called CB on 52nd street several times telling them about the no TV service and the plumber's 3 trips to our unit. They had no idea how to work the TV but were aware of the leak situation. When we checked out they did absolutely nothing for us to compensate for all the inconveniencing for the week. That's some serious bad business. But this 1 bedroom unit was not worth the price, and we have paid a few hundred less the past few years to rent a 2 bedroom in the same unit. Needless to say from here-on I will be eliminating Coldwell Bankers from this day-on. And all the other negative comments on yelp are true, so believe what you read from the owners to the renters. read more

I stayed in Ocean City, Maryland at MARESOL 502 for a mini-vacation.  I have been visiting Ocean City for more than 30 years and can honestly say that this is the worst unit that I have ever rented.  I called the rental office when I first arrived at MARESOL 502 and the only response that I received was a promise that maintenance would replace all of the defective light bulbs.  Yes, the light bulbs were replaced but the remaining issues made for a discouraging vacation. We begin at the front door which had a defective dead bolt and rotting strike plate. The carpeting was filthy and stained throughout the unit. The window sills were covered in mold in at least one bedroom. The guest bathroom exhaust fan did not work.    The kitchen microwave power cord stretched in front of a cabinet door.  It had to be moved every time we used glasses. The stove top and toaster oven were filthy.  No amount of cleaning on our part made an impression on these old appliances. The main bedroom has its own issues. A bed frame support post was broken.  My wife and I slept on a downhill slant during our stay. The glass door is stained with rust. The master bathroom toilet paper holder was torn out of the wall.  This was just one of several holes and other damage to walls throughout the unit. read more

My husband and I are very disappointed with CBVR in Ocean City Md I would give them less than one star if I could . We booked a condo for 3 days at the Carousel . When we checked in and went up to the condo it was filthy ! The carpet was filthy the bed in the master bedroom had huge stains on the Mattress the bathroom was dirty the kitchen floor was sticky ! And there was a nest of mice under the stove my husband saw them ! Very nasty ! I called CBVR and spoke to our Agents daughter and told her about all of the issues that were at this Condo . I spoke to someone named Danielle who said they could steam clean the mattress and carpet but everything would be soaked . I said where are we supposed to sleep and how do you walk on soaked carpet ? We were there 20 minutes and left . The owner refused to give our money back . CBVR refused to do anything for us Vicki is the manager and Danielle is the assistant manager . Beware of this office and renting a property from them evidently they do not have a clue about customer service ! read more

We stayed at the towers 902 on 29th street. It was gross!,dirty dishes, broken dishwasher, dusty. I cleaned and scrubbed after we unpacked. Then they had linens delivery, which I did not order! I called cb vaction and was told I needed to unchecked the box for linens when I reserved the unit! What a scam!. The guy that dropped them off was extremely rude. $102. In linens, when I packed my own. I tried calling, I was hung up on!! CB vacations said they will not refund the money. Since when do we "uncheck" a box for items we don't want? I have been renting a vacation condo twice a year from Coldwell Banker, one for family vacay and girls trip during Bike Week every September. They have always been accommodating and very, very professional. I had an issue with our wifi this year - and in a room full of 8 working professionals who ALL had work to do on their laptops, it was critical to get it working (storm blew the wifi router). Melissa, was a ROCK STAR in getting our issue resolved - even offering to let us all come to the office and work using their wifi if problem wasn't resolved! I will always rent from them because I trust that they will do everything they can to resolve an issue! I would give Melissa and the rental agents we dealt with a 10 star rating if I could. If I could give negative stars I would. I rented a condo in Ocean City Maryland through this company for nearly$4000 for a week. They hired a cleaning company for the condo between rentals. We found the cleanliness of the condo to be deplorable including dirty toilets, showers, floors, counters etc including human feces stains in the toilets. This was all under the guise of enhanced cleaning due to COVID-19 by Coldwell Banker. When I called Coldwell Banker on the evening of my arrival they never responded. I would suggest that you deal with a different rental company if you want to rent in OC Maryland. read more

We rented units in the "newly remodeled" Waves Bldg. Unit 201 & 301. The units were very poorly renovated but were also filthy. The floors were so dirty you couldn't even walk from the shower to the bed w/o getting black feet. The first day we arrived we checked the unit and then went to unload our car. For some reason they separated our pool key from our room key but put them on the same exact type of key chain for (unit 201 for Unit 301 they were attached). We grabbed a pool key, which we did see later, that "pool" was written pretty small on the key chain. So needless to say we were locked out of our unit. It was 7pm so we were charged an after hours lockout fee of $50, we also had to wait over an hour and 15 minutes for the maintenance man to come let us in. The after hours service was so beyond rude and told us it was our problem that we locked ourselves out. She said no one told you to wait around for him, go grab a bite to eat...after I told her my purse was in the room. Pretty frustrating after a 5 hour drive. We had recently rented from another company in a different state and they were so polite and accommodating they kept reminding us that we were the ones on vacation, perhaps this company could take a lesson. Even upon checkout there were so many rules. WE had to take out all garbage and make the beds, so odd since they were going to need to change the sheets anyway, I would hope ! CB's answer was they try to provide superior customer service but couldn't offer any refund for the lockout and never even replied about the filthy unit. I would never use them again and would suggest taking your chances with a VRBO. read more

We have been going on family vacations for years and we have rented 4 wood duck drive for the week. We were told they would have several amenities that they did not have at the house and one of the bedrooms also combines as the laundry room. My mother and her sister lost their late brother and thought that they'd want him for us to get a nice house down here because we've always just gotten what we could afford and they got some money from his passing. My mother is very dissapointed and saddened and I can't speak for my aunt. I'm 25 years old and from when I can remember we've always rented from coldwell banker in ocean pines because we love it here and it holds precious memories. Run don't walk away! 7/17/2021 Condo in our favorite building in OC, MD Century One. From start to finish this was an unpleasant experience at best. From lack of communication and information, no response to issues, ignoring us when we showed up to get our keys. Fee after fee including a $500 security deposit which they keep for 30 days after check out????? (We last dealt with VRBO and what a breeze that was, easy, efficient and they allowed us to speak with the owner who gave us great information and tips. The unit itself had ratings and reviews so we knew it was top notch! We also got a 5 star tenant rating from the owner since we left the property in perfect condition. We booked again but the owner sold the unit suddenly so we scrambled to find another one in that building) CB vacations was the only option. No ratings no recent pictures this time and now we know why. We took pictures and documented issues so they can not charge us but I have little faith in their process. The vertical blinds were broken in our bedroom so we had to "rig" them in order to have privacy among other things. We heard Vacasa bought Coldwell Banker vacations as well as other vacation rental agencies and the reviews for them are just as bad if not worse. Never again. read more

We stayed at the Plaza unit 1507 and booked through CBVactions Unit was run down and dirty......... Firstly our unit was never cleaned prior to us getting the keys. There were bags of dirty linens in the unit and was filthy hair and sand all over. I proceeded to start to clean when we got a knock at the door from the cleaning staff stating unit had not been cleaned yet. So now they proceeded to clean while we were there trying to unpack. They did a rush job. Floors were not washed at all and had to ask them to run the vacuum cleaner. This is a HEALTH HAZARD letting renters in prior to cleaning......Nathan at Coldwell responded floors are not washed because carts are brought into rooms (WHAT)????? this was never stated that a cart was being brought into the room...... Secondly the tub in the master BR was clogged and filthy. Cleaning people stated they reported to the office to have maintenance dept. look at. 4 hrs go by nobody shows I go to office and am told I need to call Coldwell which I did and was told an order would be put in. Was not fixed until Sunday at 3pm. so stagnant water that smelled was left for a day and a half. Again a HEALTH HAZARD Thirdly screen door to patio out of BR was off track and full of holes...... fourthly door to laundry closet was off track and fell on me when opened to do laundry so we just put aside for the week. Again a HEALTH HAZARD and could have been hurt thank god no small children in unit.......... I followed up with Coldwell banker and got this response Ms....... We have received your email and I want to thank you for bringing these issues to our attention and to apologize for your dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and the maintenance issues that you experienced at the unit. I've passed your feedback along the to the cleaning company as well as to the property owner. After speaking with the cleaner, they reported that they were asked 'not to mop the floor as the guests were bringing in a cart.' Normal check-in time is 3pm and according to our records the property was reported cleaned as of 3:06pm. Particularly on our busiest Saturdays in the summer, the cleaners can be held up in traffic and the cleanings completed slightly after 3pm. We do note in our contract that cleanings may occur as late as 6pm. Regarding the maintenance request, we sent your request to the Plaza maintenance team at 5:12pm on Saturday evening as soon as we received approval from the property owner. I apologize that they were unable to address it until the following day. We hope you'll give us a chance to improve upon our service next time you visit Ocean City! Oceans Mist 502 -- DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY! We checked in today 7/31/21 and it was filthy and the furniture is very worn and dirty. There was food stuck to the tables, dirty entry rug, sand on the furniture in the entry hall, scratched walls and woodwork, filthy woodwork. Complained to CBVacations and they sent another cleaning crew who did their best but remarked that the condition of the furniture and the unit were beyond just cleaning. Looking at the front door was a red flag - rust, peeling pain and mold. Oh did I also mention a filthy refrigerator, food stuck on the dining room table and the coffee table. The unit was $6,500 for the week but we should have gotten an AS IS PRICE! I can't believe the rental agent ever walked into this unit before they rented it. I will call the agent tomorrow and see what recourse we have.....just avoid this unit! read more

I've booked with Coldwell Banker in the past and recommended over 10 family members to them this year for a family vacation. We booked Golden Sands in Ocean City MD. Unfortunately MD was added to our state's quarantine list and we needed to cancel. Well the argent I worked with made a stressful situation even worse. Purchasing travel insurance did nothing and was a complete waste of money. At one point the agent hung up on me for simply asking for something in writing. Coldwell banker's policies should be updated, especially during a pandemic. Why use Coldwell banker when there are sites to use with FREE cancellations. Luckily MD was removed from our list and we were able to go. I wanted to be done with Coldwell banker so I'm happy I was able to use the money I spent. During this process the owner of unit 1714 was not understanding whatsoever and the unit was very dirty and outdated. We even found a roach on the wall. The pots were put away with food on the them and to top it off the AC didn't work. I like the Golden Sands property but this unit needs work. I'm glad I went because the rest of my family lost money for canceling. We will NEVER use Coldwell banker again. I also advise you to stay away from unit 1714. read more

We stayed at Captiva Bay #311 in Ocean City the week of July 4th, 2018. Great location, and the place looked fabulous..... until you turn off the lights and the roaches come out!!! You would think for almost $3000 for the week roaches would be the last thing you would have to worry about. After further inspection we notice these little black plastic things all over the house, which turned out to be roach motels. So to add insult to injury... Caldwell Banker knew about the roaches and when we reported it their only concern was... well you didn't report it within 24 hours. Well we didn't see them until the following night we were too tired from traveling! Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

1st and last time using coldwell vacations. Rented Bahia Vista 101. Arrived to a filty condo, unflushed toilets, dirty towels on kitchen counter,dirty socks on bedroom floor. Piles of dead bugs on floor. We paid extra to arrive a day early, when I requested a refund for the 1st night, I was told that was up to the owner. Now 1 month after check out not only have I not gotten a response regarding a refund, I still have not gotten my security deposit back. Very dissatisfied, you would think a realtor would stand behind the property they represent. Will be going back to Vantage realty next year! read more

Checked into 5401 coastal highway #303. I personally certify this place as disgusting! Nothing was clean... we fixed the vaccum cleaner ourselves and vacuumed. I had to clean all of the toilet seats as they all had hair and fecal matter even with the tape showing it was cleaned. There was hair in the shower and in between the plastic and the curtain and I hadn't showered yet!! Dirty dishes in the dish washer.... dont walk barefoot or the bottom of your feet will turn black from not being mopped in years I'm sure. For such a charming home, you should really invest in better cleaning companies. It was really disappointing not wanting to touch anything for a week. Please call Stanley Steamer and clean these nasty carpets... going forward we will not be using Coldwell Banker... I will try VRBO or HOMESTOGO... anything but CB. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Never rent from this company. Rented an oceanfront condo in OC for a week at just under 1k for the week. Place was disgustingly dirty. No way a cleaning crew touched that condo before our arrival except to put sanitizer wrap on the toilets. Fans had caked on dirt with dirt strings hanging down. A light bulb Was broken in a lamp. This light was the only switch activated light in the room. So how does someone miss that on the maintenance list. ? Utility closet had a pile of dirt where it looked like someone had swept the dirt in there. Dust and dirt on everything. Patio screen door that had obviously been broken for a while and would not stay on its tracks to open and close. Broken hinges on kitchen cabinets and broken chairs. Office staff blew us off. We had to clean the condo ourselves the first night or sleep in filth because the cleaning crew was not coming in until the morning. read more

We rented condo 803 at the Capri from 8/25/14 to 8/29/14. We tried to check-in at 1 pm on 8/25, the girl in the office was very rude and said we could not check-in until 1:30 pm so we waited outside for 30 minutes even though we still had to sign a waiver that the room may not have be clean when we get there. So, 1 pm or 1:30 pm what's the difference? The next day we noticed that the shower curtain liner in the master bedroom bathroom was very badly torn so we called CB vacations to report the problem. They suggested that we take our time, go to the dollar store, buy a cheap liner and install it on our vacation time and that they would credit us for the liner! I was so flabbergasted, I didn't know what to say. Now I do, absolutely lousing, could care less attitude, just like the girl at check-in! read more
