I only left a one-star review because there wasn't an option to give a review of no stars. I don't even know where to begin with this experience I've had with coldwell banker, but it has been frustrating to deal with coldwell banker, and also I felt as if I just got taken advantage of for my first year as a new renter. The issues started when I expressed to the property manager that I would sign the lease as long as the garage would be available at some point. They told me yes, and so I signed. After a while of no updates on the garage, I emailed them and asked when I could get the garage. After multiple times of reaching out and trying to get a straight answer, they finally told me that I could only get the garage after I resigned for another year with an obvious price increase. Coldwell banker then sent me a letter stating that they did not want to continue my lease, and so I was forced to move out in two months. The issues I had been having aside from the garage included the owner coming without 24 hours' notice (non-emergency) to get items from the garage. Sometimes not even telling me that he would be coming over. Other issues included dealing with coldwell banker and their horrible customer service. Again, I felt as if I had been taken advantage of as a new renter. I paid my rent on time, kept the place clean, and was still lied to and treated rudely. They have also charged me an unnecessary cleaning fee that they will not refund back to me. I left that place spotless, and yet I was still charged $325, which was deducted from my deposit, and the invoice seems to be vague on what exactly they did. When we decided to sell our home in College Place, we selected a realtor from this office to represent us in our sale. His bio stated, "respectful and honest", and since he had been in the community and a member of the local church for some time, we had no reason to believe otherwise. Honesty was important, as we live several hours away and are not in the area very often. We had several conversations regarding the property, stating clearly that we needed several things from our realtor. First, if the home did not sell during the summer we would remove it from the market and place it on the rental market (it's not fair to rent something that you have up for sale), Second, that he would update me weekly on the progress and showings, Third, that he would notify me prior to any showings, and Fourth, that he would market it appropriately. Not one of those stipulations were met. I NEVER received communication from the realtor unless I initiated it first. He NEVER notified me of showings, I only heard of them after I would call and bug him about what kind of activity was going on. He never photographed the place, using only some poor quality, old photos from a rental listing site, even though I specifically had the home professionally cleaned prior to the date he said he was going to take photos. I asked him to send me the listing link - NEVER received it. Googling the address, the only listing I could find is a poorly written one with awful photos on ONLY his company website. Three months into the listing, with zero activity or offers, I told him I was going to end the listing and find property management to lease the home. I was told that the contract could not end prior to six months without his consent. Even though I had been specific about wanting to list the home as a rental if it did not sell quickly, he slipped a clause into my contract that stipulated a minimum of 6 months listing, and if I choose to make any legal effort to exit the contract I will be responsible for both sides of legal bills. In my 30 years of real estate dealings, I have always been lucky to find realtors who listen and represent their client with "respect and honesty". Unless real estate contract law is your specialty, do not sign any contracts with Coldwell Banker First in Walla Walla. They are sly and unprofessional, and do not have their client's best interest in mind. So thankful I'm the seller and not a buyer with money to lose. Avoid at all cost. read more

The property management team has been very difficult. Allen is non-responsive and hard to get a hold of. He did not follow up with our renters and allowed them to continue living in the rental without a lease for several months. There are not many option in Walla Walla but I would strongly suggest finding an alternative to working with Allen. read more

IF YOU ARE A SINGLE FEMALE BEWARE!!!! In a whole I love the company but this week they made a big mistake. I am house hunting and since, up till now, I have had such a great experience with them I wanted to go through them for my next place. We showed up on time at the listing at 3pm like we had scheduled,,,,the agent was 5 min late, no big deal there. He gets out of his vehical, walks up to the guy that was with me, shook his hand, introduced himself to him, gave him the paperwork then turned and walked towards the house.....not once speaking to me, THE PERSPECTIVE CLIENT. The whole time at the property, the only way I could get any of my questions answered was to interrupt him while speaking to the guy that was with me or have the guy that came with me ask him. Very poorly done on the realtors part. He should have researched me a little before showing up since the appointment was with SUE not the guy with me. I have been working two jobs, paying my own bills, raising my kids on my own and everything else ALONE for over a year now. I was the say in if we rented or bought from this person that showed us the house yesterday, not the male that was with me. It was because of the fact this person not once introduced himself to me and wasn't till we were leaving and I told him that we wouldn't be getting it that he finally spoke to me and yet still treated me like a moron. I am a female but that does not make me any less of a client. Thanks to this person I will be searching else where with a different company for my new home. read more

When I came to Walla Walla to look at places to rent, Allen showed me a house that met my needs, however, the yard was an absolute wreck with a garage that was literally falling down. There are not many choices for rentals in Walla Walla, so I decided to rent the house. When Allen was showing me the house, I commented on the condition of the yard, which anyone who is not blind would have easily been able to see was full of weeds and just an absolute mess. When I moved out a year later, Coldwell Banker took $266 out of my deposit for "weeding and mowing". I called to ask Allen how they possibly could have done this, as he was aware of what the yard looked like when I moved in. He did not return my call for a week, then directed me to somebody else to talk to. It has been a month and they have shown no interest in dealing with this issue. I would highly recommend renting from someone else. I am reporting them to the BBB, but have come to terms with the fact that I have just been scammed into re-landscaping a yard for the owners of the house that I rented. read more

I'm having difficulty identifying with other posters who Yelped about Coldwell Banker property management, and especially Alan. Our experience was quite different. He always returns calls, has been on time to every meeting and has been pleasant to deal with. The property management team there is quite responsive to us and we have called about a leaky faucet, a shower head problem and a lock issue with our front door, all of which were handled quickly. We have enjoyed being tenants here and would recommend Alan and his team. read more

My Daughter rented from these people, initially they were a bit disinterested but OK at best. A little slow to respond when she had an issue, but eventually they would respond. BUT, they were JOHNNY ON THE SPOT if her rent was 1 day late, her rent 1 month was due on a SUNDAY & she paid it on Monday, when she got home for lunch there was a note on her door and a $15 late fee. Classy bunch, anyhow, eventually she moved out and WE cleaned the place SPOTLESS!! The window on the back door was broken from moving the Washer & Dryer out, we notified them that they would have to replace the window. They replaced the ENTIRE DOOR to the tune of $265.00 and gladly forwarded the bill on to her. Steer Clear........ read more
