I have major dentist phobia. Like irrational fear of going to the dentist. Every single person there made me feel at ease and was hands down the BEST experience I've ever had at a dentist office. I had to have a crown prepped and a cavity filled. To many that doesn't sound like much. For someone like me that's like doing a marathon without any training. I walked away thinking I'll never go anywhere else. I saw Dr Zander and he was awesome. He talked me through just enough to that I knew how long the drill would be going but not enough that it freaked me out. They did the crown prep and then printed my permanent crown and put it on in about 35 minutes. One and done appointment. If you've been looking for a new dentist this is it. I don't even live in enumclaw. I drive 35 minutes to get there and it's worth it!!

He insisted I still needed 18 X rays of all my mouth so he can have a look at my teeth through X-rays and tell me which teeth of mines he can treat preventatively with implants, extractions and drillings. I said I need none of that, all I need is to have my calcification removed. He said in that case he could not help me. He basically refused to help me to have superficial calcification removed from one tooth. I left and within 5 mins made appointment with a dentist across the road, that office told me 5 X-rays only before seeing hygienist. way more reasonable. Wasted my morning, Dr Koonz could not properly address one small issue I came with, superficial calcification on 1 tooth and he wanted me to trust him all my mouth with Xray exposures and his recommendation I was not even asking for. This is like putting a cart in front of the horse. Take care of one issue and help with what you were asked to help with, deserve patient's trust first. The style he chose to practice gave me nausea. Greedy, young Indian, impatient to make money on every your tooth, no human qualities, unreasonable, no common sense and seemed stupid. Will never go back and would not recommend him. During that long break I had some inaccurate information on how my FSA account worked, so ultimately, I was scrambling to find openings to use my remaining balance. A co-worker of mine referred me to Dr. Holmberg. My first appointment was nice. Bonnet who is at the front desk is really helpful and super friendly, the dental assistant was awesome as well and she made it very easy to relax while I waited for the doctor. After Dr. Holmberg came in, we first went over what I wanted done and his recommendations - which I appreciated. I wanted to have a bridge or an implant done for this horrifying gap I have on the front left side of my mouth that I've had since a kid. We both agreed on a bridge. When I arrived for my second appointment I was hoping we can start working on my project, but instead they had fillings on the schedule. We didn't do fillings that day, I got a cleaning and the doctor suggested that we widen the gap so it'd be easier to fit a tooth in there, I agreed. LITTLE DID I KNOW that on top of shaving down the sides of my teeth a little, he went ahead and for some UNGODLIKE reason, shaved down the point of my left canine to where it goes flat.. BUT, he shaved it down so far that if I even put my fingernail on the end of my canine, I can feel the sensitivity of my nerve in that tooth.. So now I have a right canine that goes to a point and my left canine which is now a sensitive stump. They scheduled me for my third appointment. I actually had an emergency come up and couldn't go but decided to ask what was on the schedule anyways... More fillings.... I don't know where in the game plan on my first appointment did I even say the word fillings.. I had to reschedule and right after that is when I pinned down the reason why I had this constant pain in my mouth from my canine behind shaved down. Now all the dentists are on vacation and im sitting here with this huge annoyance in my mouth waiting for them to get back. Safe to say that I will not be going back to this dentist. I am beyond upset.

We have been to all three locations and I believe even have seen all three of the doctors in the last 9 years (even though I believe the elder Molen is retired maybe, but that was like 9 years ago?). I personally like the Auburn location for convenience, but the Sumner one has the best waiting room for parents (they have super nice massage chairs & a work area with wifi). Everyone is incredibly nice. I love all the celebrations they do and make the kiddos (and adults) feels super special. But seriously, as for braces go -- the way they do things have been flat out the best. I hear complaints about pain, pulled teeth, etc, and I swear, the Damon system is just easier on the mouth (still hurts a bit -- don't get me wrong). But most of all, my teeth and my daughter's have be held the test of time! Now my son has his braces on and are looking great already. I fully recommend Molen Orthodontics!!
