Dr. Hodge & his team gave me the only dental experience in my 30+ years that I actually bragged to a friend about. Their whole team genuinely cares about setting you up for a great experience without anxiety or pain. Dr Hodge even called after each appointment to see how I was feeling. This was so appreciated. I was referred by a fiend after my daughter was born. Babies are known to steal mom's nutrients and I ended up needing 6 cavities filled thanks to my sweet girl. Dr. Hodge and his staff are very caring and kind. Your comfort is their main concern. They strive to make sure the experience is pain free. I feel like I'm in control. One raise of my hand lets them know I want to sit a little more upright or a rinse and suction. They give a little neck pillow and offer bottled water. Dr. Hodge is soft spoken and everyone in the office really like being there. You would think they are all related the way they communicate with each other. I always leave with a little care package and a follow up phone call later in the day just to see if everything is ok. Its a easy access office and good parking. read more

Amazing. I'm leaving the dentist and I don't feel like I hate myself for not flossing every day. Yet, without laying on a guilt trip, Dr. Hodge and his staff educated me (from the first visit on out) on the processes of gingivitis and tarter build up that leads to irreversible jaw bone loss- but they do it a a respectful, nice way. Makes sense, right. Not demeaning- not like you idiot, why don't we just pull all your teeth out right now. You know how dentists can sometimes be- scary, like the mean god of teeth judgment. My teeth-care routine has dramatically improved since coming to this office three years ago. Plus, I was fitted for a free lifetime tooth-whitening system on my first visit, which is why I currently blind people with my smile to this day. Lastly, Dr. Hodge is a fantastic photographer. His beautiful work is featured around his office. On each visit, you get to choose one of his original 5 x 7 matted prints of beautiful photos from around the world to take home. I have the art hanging in both my office and my home. It's a fabulous unexpected bonus. Which is what I live for. Even though I live in Seattle, I still make the drive to this office. Dr. Hodge was my dentist for over a decade, until 1999 when I moved out of state. I was visiting my California dentist last week and AGAIN, he went on and on about all the great dental work I had and how long it has lasted. This is all Dr. Hodge's work. I have been coming here since I was a kid and have always had the best experience. The staff and dentist are very friendly, professional, caring and courteous of your time. I moved to Seattle a year ago and found Dr. Hodge via Yelp. One of the best dentists I've had by far! Dr. Hodge is such a sweet person! After a long, grueling cavity filling session, Dr. Hodge made sure to call me to make sure that I was okay and check to see if I had any questions. The dental hygienists are all so sweet and friendly! Easy to get along with. Dr Hodge won't pressure you to get anything fixed that isn't absolutely necessary. Their office understands that finances impact decisions and work with you to get what you actually need done, done. His Hygienist knocked my tooth loose, finally had to have it removed after years of pain and misery. Dr. Hodge refused to take responsibility of what happens in his office. He hires unqualified people to work on your teeth. Don't go there!!! read more

There are things in life that easily can be put on the back burner for months, even years when needed. Going to the dentist was one of those for me. No money, not enough time, the sun might be shining any old reason/excuse would do. Simply being reminded of an appointment set my stomach to churn. Fight or flight set in immediately and the sweat of fear showed itself. Past memories were so strong, they took over my soul. Some of that "stuff" is fifty years old now and WAY in the past. "THE DENTIST" is no longer the place that lives in my fears. The people at Dr. Hodge's office greet me with smiles and stories to keep me occupied until it's my turn to head around the corner and sit in the chair. Once there the constant care continues with an emphasis on "patient" comfort...(that's me they are taking care). Throughout my time in the chair, I am asked if i am comfortable (warm enough?? need a drinK?? does it hurt?? or another rinse??). So for the last dozen years or so, I have been a visitor at the office of Dr. Philip Hodge at least a couple times a year to get my teeth cleaned and the all important check-up. There are times when I need to make more than those cleaning appointments and I have managed to do that and then show up for those appointments to have the work done. The message I really wish to leave here is: If you wish a GOOD dentist, concerned about your teeth and your welfare in the chair, you need to visit Dr. Hodge. He and his staff are ready to work to make your dental care something you can look forward to instead of neglecting. And they won't scare you to death in the process. read more

I moved from Texas couple years ago, and I've been looking for a good dentist in my area. Finding the right one is not that easy, I've had really great dentist through out my years, so I have high expectation when it comes to my dentist. Well, I recently had a tooth abscess for the first time and I was in tremendous pain for couple days. I had to find a dentist quick, and I did. Dr. Hodge's staff immediately got me in for the pain and was referred to a endodontist for a root canal. I was able to get the root canal done by the referred doctor (Dr. Andrew Johnson) without any pain what so ever, and then I was back to Dr. Hodge for a temporary crown. He even called me to assure that I am doing OK, which I thought was very thoughtful of him to do that himself. I now have my permanent crown put in today and I am very happy & pleased with everything he has done for me. I am greatly thankful to have found a good dentist near my area. I don't like switching my dentists, so as long as I am here, I will be his loyal client. On the side note, all the staffs at Dr. Hodge's office are so friendly and nice. Dr Hodge and his team are just plain fantastic. I was looking for a dentist after I moved to the Seattle area four years ago. A co-worker recommended Dr Hodge. it was a 20+ mile one way drive in some nasty traffic some days to get there. However, I wouldn't trade him and his team for any closer Dentist. First, the entire team is engaged in making sure the patient is comfortable and at ease. Second, the Dr and his assistants take their time to educate you on the process and answer any questions. They even ask you what type of music you prefer and magically when you come the next time, your tunes are playing. The two ladies at the front desk give great first impressions and are on top of their game when it comes to billing, appointments and answering any questions you have. I never thought going to the dentist could be fun, still not fun, but Dr Hodge and the crew make it as pleasant as it can be. read more

I have been going to Dr Hodge for about 30 years now, I had a 3 year gap when I tried a couple closer dentists. Never again! Dr. Hodge and his staff are the best! They take very good care of me, educate me in a gentle way , about better dental care, and are responsible, cheerful , and talented people. The work is quality, the waiting room is relaxing, with ocean surf ,or today, a fireplace. I left with very clean teeth, and far more relaxed than when I got there after December traffic on 405.His work is painless, if you need a crown or a filling his attention to detail and quality work is evident. I have been seeing Dr. Phil since the early 80's (about 1983) , he has been a great dentist, thorough to a fault, professional , always adding to his expertise ; keeping up with new techniques and procedures, he is constantly learning and applying in his practice. Forever the consummate patient advocate, your comfort is one of his highest concerns, along with expert dental care provided by he and his able staff.
