I have personally toured cold Brook veterinary clinic, and spoke at length with the veterinary clinician who owns and runs the small practice. Needless to say, she is a huge animal lover, having adopted two dogs on which others gave up. The clinic is small, but that's a good thing, because she is never more than me her feet from any of the animals on which she works. In fact, she has an apartment over the clinic, in case she needs to stay the night to watch over a patient. Horrible horrible person!!! Doesn't care one bit about your pet. We were fine with her cold personality as we only used her for yearly shots anyway. My Willie had surgery from her(people told me not to let her do it) very basic surgery and he wound up dead. Our other dog was suffocating due to an infection in her soft pallet and this b*tch wouldn't answer her phone. I rarely give a bad review, but I don't want someone bringing their pet there thinking all is ok and that maybe the poor reviews are an exaggeration. From the unfriendly tone you get when she decides to return a voicemail 24 hours later, waiting outside in the cold because she locks her doors, dismissive attitude towards the well being of your pet to the lack of compassion in handling the pet, sadly I give clinic a one star which is generous in my opinion. read more

I didn't mind her ice cold demeanor for the past 10 years, as I only had to deal with her once a year or so and she generally took good care of my dogs. That changed after waiting a week for a follow up appointment and getting charged $35.00 to give me a phone number for a vet 3 hours away to perform a biopsy. This is not the way to take care of local people, making them take a full day off of work and load up a 163 lb dog in the back of a car to spend all day on the road for a relatively standard procedure. Terrible experience. First of all, they don't let you in, just your pet. Visit lasted 4 mins top. Didn't find out anything, but paid money for what I already knew. Inflammation of my dog's gum was so bad, he was in pain, but didn't get any treatment nor medicine, only "your dog needs dental cleaning". And nothing to hold on to until the procedure. Saw our cat one time. Took her in another room to examine her and something they did back there made her scream. Checked her weight and trimmed her nails and said they needed records from our old vet to examine her. Sent her those and then she refused service saying that since we give fluids at home, she cannot help us. At this time, our cat was dying and we wanted to see if we could do anything, but she wouldn't see us. I think she just wanted us to bring our cat to her daily to get fluids so she could charge us each time. People in town later told us they won't go to her because she doesn't like animals. My cat is a patient. He woke up with bloody mucus coming out his lungs, severely labored breathing, mewing and looking like he was dying. We went here, where my cat is a registered patient, has had shots before, when they opened at 8am. She would not see him. Stony faced, indifferent. The nearest other vet is an hour away. There is an emergency vet 90 minutes away but it doesn't open until 5pm because the expectation is that YOUR VET will see your pet during the day. We drove for an hour to one vet that would see our cat. This vet will not be there when you desperately need medical assistance for your pet. They are uncaring. Find another vet for your pet's sake. read more
