If it wasn't such a drive, I would go to Lowe's. If I'm going to have to search for something I might as well pay less for it. This is why people shop online. Brick and mortar businesses need to wake up. At this point you're nothing more than convenience stores for whatever items you sell. Customer service and location are the last things you have going for you. I found the fall festival to be really cute and great for photo ops. I really enjoyed each of the different sections of the farm. Decided to get on the monster truck before leaving (9/10); it was my first time riding in/on one and it was pretty fun. To ride was $10 per person. All of the staff members were friendly and made light conversation. I can def see myself returning especially since they also have a Christmas tree farm and a restaurant on site. In addition to the blueberries that were available for picking, peaches were sold in bushels placed on a table in their "store". Sometimes the owners are there to receive the money, and other times they run a honor system. Pencils were provided to write on the envelope to place it into the wooden box. The prices and size were posted on a sign the minute you walk inside. They were very reasonable, and fair compared to other farms. It was a hot sunny day, so the hubs picked quickly, since he tends to get sunburned and cranky lol. I'm the opposite, so I picked to my hearts content:) The blueberries were fresh and smaller than I'm used to. It tasted sweet and a little tart. The best part of it all, was that it was organic! Nowadays everything is sprayed, but this farm doesn't do that:) We revisited a few more times for picking. I knew the season was coming to a close, and needed some more to freeze. I made some cakes, and muffins out of the blueberries which lasted a few days. I sort of wished, I picked a large bucketful, cause as I'm writing this there is no more in the freezer. Originally, we were going to do one gallon but then switched to two quarts so we could split up and pick. They are cash only, so make sure to bring cash with you. There were so many blueberries to pick from. Rows and rows of ones that were ready to pick and others that should be ready in a week or so. There were a lot of flies and bees, so be cautious if you're allergic, but they didn't not bother us.

So the idea of a permanent planted arrangement seemed like something perfect for the patio. McDonald's was contacted over the phone a week + out before Mother's Day. I worked with Patrice who emailed different ideas they could do from pots to plants etc. He was so passionate about his trade and left me even more excited that he alone would be the point. Ultimately hydrangeas was chosen as the plant with sweet potatoes. They had many pots to choose from, but a more neutral with a butterfly seemed perfect. The cost was $97. Patrice assured that the plant would be watered and ready for pick up days before Mother's Day. On Saturday I went to McDonald's and after locating Patrice he rolled the plant out. I must say I was overwhelmed with the size. It was huge and gorgeous! Patrice did a video of care instructions as he took ownership of seeing everything through. He also at no charge through in a ceramic tray to hep with transport, but also for any leakage of water with a weep hole at the bottom. The delivery was marvelous and enjoyed by Mom. I cannot say enough positive about this experience. Other staff assisted me and were helpful and enthusiastic about their job. You just don't see this in other big box places ole Lowes and Home Depot. McDonald's is a one stop locally owned since 1947 garden center. They can do it all and the visit is impressive to see the selections. Highly recommend.

We arrived at 2:35 p.m. We were immediately accosted by a man telling us that they close at 3:00 p.m. I mentioned that one site stated they close at 4:00 p.m. At 10 till 3, a woman approached at stated we close in 10 minutes. We planned on purchasing a large amount of flowers. We rushed to the counter and the same woman was very rude to my mother. The staff started closing the gate while my elderly mom was STILL exiting with a cart! What happened to customer service, southern hospitality and kindness? We planned on spending a couple hundred dollars easily. With their large surplus of annuals... they should rethink their attitude and poor customer service. I will not be returning. I will travel to Andersons in Pungo. My mom was hurt by their actions, as she had fond memories going there with my father.

Reference number #S103871 To date, I have not received the tree or the services that were paid for. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue, including three in-person visits to the store and seven phone messages, I have not received a response or any resolution. At this point, I am requesting a full refund of the total amount paid, including labor, delivery and planting charges. Please process this refund within 2-3 days, if not immediately. If I do not receive a refund within this timeframe, I will be forced to pursue further action, which will include filing complaints with consumer protection agencies, disputing the charge with my bank and legal action.
