"other charges" be waived. I was told that we were getting a break already. They coolers needed two fuses at a cost of $20. plus tax. Then a $70.00 Other charges and $90. labor for a total of $181.55. Really. Second Call that day was $25.50 for parts (coil cleaner) plus tax , plus $20. Other charges ??? and $310. for labor. Total $357.13 $538.68 in one day for two fuses and a coil cleaner. Really??? I guess I need to shop for a new company.

The previous tenants left us with at least 2 unusable outlets, broken switch and outlet plates, and…read moreexposed wires where they ripped out a car charger they had installed without notifying the landlord - who we are renting from now and had agreed to take on most of the renovation. With the state of the wires and one of the outlets, I was concerned that the house would've been one spark away from burning down. That's only a few things of what needed to be repaired. We also needed to change all the smoke and CO detectors in the two story house. We approached Bella with the challenging task of making these repairs and they went above and beyond what we had asked of them. When Kevin walked through the house, he walked through it with a vision and recommended lights that can be dimmed, offered to install a charger for our car instead of just repairing it for safety, and replaced all of our outlets and switches and installed modern plates. The process itself did get a bit tedious sometimes. For example, we asked if they can install our new thermostat, said yes, attempted to install it, turns out it doesn't work, and the old thermostat was thrown away. We had an A/C guy come in just before Bella attempted to install the new thermostat, and we had confirmed it was working before that - we had just wanted to update the thermostat itself. We were advised by Bella after the attempted installation to ask for this type of job from an A/C person rather than an electrician. Definitely a learning experience for first-time home renovators. I appreciate their earnest effort in trying to install it for us, but if this is a service they don't normally do, we would understand and preferred if they were upfront with not accepting this task. There were other moments of miscommunication and late/missed appointments, so I can see some truth in what a couple of other reviewers have experienced. But I want to highlight that this was a challenging project completed by a small team. We also ran into similar difficulties with other contractors who worked on the house, and for good reason - the house was an absolute mess and I understand that having to stay organized with all the jobs that needed to be done for the house from each contractor we hired was an absolute challenge. What Bella did was not easy and if we had to do it all over again, we would choose them. As long as the client maintains effective communication, they will do good by their clients. Overall, we are happy with Bella and the results. I feel safe in our own home knowing we have new smoke and CO alarms, there are no exposed wires or busted outlets, we're able to actually use the outlets, charge our car, and the dimmed lights make for romantic evenings at home. I'll come back and add more photos later to show the charger and how the dimmed lights look at night. I know this review is long overdue, but truly, thank you to Kevin and the work of his team.

This is bottom-of-the-barrel DIY junk, not contractor-grade or industry-standard material. So to recap: wrong quantity, wrong product, premium price. When I called this out, they walked away from the job instead of making it right. This felt like an attempt to install the cheapest possible parts at an inflated price and hope the customer wouldn't notice. If I didn't know better, they would have gladly taken advantage of me. Unprepared. Unprofessional. Complete waste of time. Do not recommend. Ever.

The first guy spent a lot of time diagnosing what might be wrong, but admitted he was not an expert in Water-Source Heat Pumps. The second guy climbed up the ladder, took one look, and climbed back down. He told me he'd have his friend call me as he left (Friend never called). Stephen (Steve) inspired confidence from the start as he seemed to know what he was doing. He was friendly and sociable as he explained each step he was performing and why. He fixed our system quickly at a reasonable price. Well done!

I was referred to Stay Cool by another HVAC company and I want to give them a big wet kiss for that. Jeremy, the head Fred, was able to send out two of what I can only assume are his best people because they were stellar. Steve and Peter worked incredibly well as a team. They were both super smart, did a great job of explaining everything they were doing, and on top of it all, they had to clean up the inept work of past A/C techs who clearly had no idea how to do their job. Steve and Peter were honest and forthcoming about pricing before they did anything, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. I even tried to buy them something at Starbucks and they just waved me off. Total class act. I highly recommend Stay Cool Mechanical. Fast, smart, honest, reasonably priced, and effective. I can head into summer now knowing I won't be roasted like a Costco chicken.
