The first time, the person who cuts keys was out to lunch. The second time, nobody was available. The third time, only one person could do it, but he was working on another car, and the staff couldn't even provide an estimated wait time -- whether it would be 10 minutes or over an hour. Each visit also involved waiting more than 20 minutes just to speak with someone because the staff was tied up with other projects. I understand being short-staffed, but after three unsuccessful trips, it's becoming very frustrating.

The Toyota dealer employees bounced me from parts to service and acted as though they weren't very familiar with the process. Even though it was for a 2004 car and was not a key fob, it still has a chip that must be programmed. They said that it would cost $275.00 and that the wait would be over 45 minutes. I called Colline Bros. and they were able to make the key in less than 15 minutes. They charged $110.00. They also provided a key for the door to avoid being locked out of the car if the ignition key is lost (does not work in the ignition.)
