Even though it was for a 2004 car and was not a key fob, it still has a chip that must be programmed. They said that it would cost $275.00 and that the wait would be over 45 minutes. I called Colline Bros. and they were able to make the key in less than 15 minutes. They charged $110.00. They also provided a key for the door to avoid being locked out of the car if the ignition key is lost (does not work in the ignition.)

I first tried the kiosk at Walmart with no success, and then tried Home Depot where I spoke to a person who told me that only a locksmith could do the key I had. A nice lady took care of me at Brothers and made the keys I needed. I was very very happy. Just be careful driving on the side street there as it's a two-way street with cars parked on both sides, and thus very narrow.

After being passed through 4 different phone numbers and each time a different person (I never spoke to the same person twice), when the installer came to the door for the installation they demanded literally more than 2x the telephone quote and they demanded it in cash, before they did anything (They had never mentioned cash on the phone). This was at the front door of the house. When I refused, they demanded a $25 fee in cash for showing up. (see my review on South Brook Locksmith for more details on the attempted scam) I called Frank back at Armour Lock as they had given me a little bit higher initial quote, but they were very honest, professional and upfront. As the other reviewer notes, they charge reasonable prices. They were on time and everything went as promised. No surprises. Not one. And they took a check, as they said they would on the phone. A few months later, I was having a problem with the same lock and Armour came (again on time) and fixed it as part of their warranty on the work they do, for no charge. Armour Lock and their affiliates are a completely upstanding and professional business. I would recommend them to anyone.

Work was scheduled for the next day, but they went after the conversation the same day. The technician was so rude and not professional that I called the office, and the office did the same thing.
