The entire office is super clean and well designed. Dr. Fan sat with him and did many slides of x-rays and wrote out the skeletons of a comprehensive plan to tackle all the issues. My dad then had a separate health crisis and also spent some time abroad. Fast forward to end of 2018, my dad had been living under my care for two years, and I'm adamant he receives regular dental care. I wrestle him back here for a cleaning a month ago. We discover that an old dental bridge is teetering on the edge of collapse. Dr. Fan again devises a full plan that calls for the bridge to be taken out, two teeth removed, and dental implants. Upon learning the cost of such an undertaking, my dad starts to waffle. The day before his first appointment to start the implant process, he shows up to the clinic wanting to negotiate the price down. Dr. Fan took the time to explain to him what he was and wasn't being charged for (actually discounts), and why some materials cost what they do. Instead of being impatient or offended, Dr. Fan provided my dad actual medical advice and care, above and beyond what is required of him. All the front desk people and dental technicians are super nice and friendly. We had a mix-up about payment that was completely my doing. I ran right back after getting home, and in the probably half hour I was gone, they'd already taken all the steps they could on their end to hopefully help resolve the issue. They went through all that trouble even though it was totally not their fault. I have every confidence in the work Dr. Fan does, and I think the clinic is staffed with really caring and kind people. If I didn't have such anxiety that prevents me from "breaking up" with my own dentist, I'd come here myself. Wholeheartedly recommend.

All my life, I've had to wait 20 minutes or longer in the waiting room before the dentist/dental assistant sees me. But NOT at Team Dental. The dentist/dental assistant/dental hygienist was ready to see me pretty much as soon as I arrived. All the staff at Team Dental are very friendly and professional. My first dentist visit was with Dr. Muhammad. Not only was he super thorough with my examination but he had THE BEST bedside manner of any dentist I've ever seen. After my examination, he explained to me the condition of my teeth and explained why I needed a deep cleaning. I started to freak out about how bad my teeth were, but he was very reassuring and took time to show me photos of worst-case scenario gum disease and that I was nowhere near that. All I had to do was get the deep cleaning and floss a lot more. Cynthia, the dental hygienist who did the deep cleaning for me was amazing too. I was nervous before the deep cleaning because I've never had one done before, but she properly numbed me so that I did not feel any pain. Then she deep cleaned the **** out of my teeth. Never have my teeth felt so good and so clean!!! Seeing the dentalcare I'm getting at Team Dental made me realize what good dentalcare is like. My previous dentists did the bare minimum and were never this thorough. Up to yesterday, I thought my teeth were fine, but they really weren't! Also, Team Dental understands the urgency of the health of your teeth. If you are experiencing pain and the longer care is delayed, the worse your condition will get. They will try to get you in as soon as possible, no matter how busy they are. It is really a great feeling to know the health of your teeth is in good hands with Team Dental.

I took umbrage with the business side of the practice for a consultation I had there for an obvious cavity that I wanted to be looked at. Their website said they do consultations so I called and went in. I sat down and the hygienist started to prep for a cleaning. I said no, I was there for a consultation only. They did one xray of the affected tooth, the dentist probed it and my mouth a bit, spending about seven minutes with me. The charge was $150. During the initial call for the appointment, the follow up call, and a call the morning of when they asked if I could come in earlier, there was never any mention of a consultation charge. I would have been far better off just getting a full cleaning and xrays for $250 or whatever it is and the 'consultation' would have been included. Of course, it's their right to charge whatever they want for whatever they do, but they should disclose on the website, or tell you on the phone "we may charge $150 for a brief consultation" for existing patients.

Proactively wrote prescription for mouth rinse (for dry mouth or thrush) that might be needed due to chemo reaction. Fortunately, I only needed the over the counter alternative he also recommended, Biotene. Staff seems to remember every detail about people and their issues -- caring, lovely, helpful. Is it possible to actually look forward to going to the dentist? Dr Stern has created a dental oasis. In my experience, accepts dental insurance reimbursement as payment in full. Others charge hundreds more and quality not even as good.
