When I called for an estimate their response time was fast and we set a time for the estimate. Once Dion assessed what was wrong he told me he would put together an estimate and email it to me. I received it just like he said a few hours later (good price). On the day that we scheduled the work to be done, he was a little late but communicated with me via text to give me a heads up. There are 2 things that can be a homeowner's nightmare: plumbing and electric. I've heard too many horror stories regarding plumbers and electricians, and since moving into our new home we've come across issues needing both. Thanks to yelp, I didn't have that problem with either. My husband installed some new LED lighting to the front of our home. Since then those outlets have stopped working as well as our Ring doorbell. On top of that, some of the other outlets and switches in our home were making a crackling noise. We bought a home in Rancho Cucamonga and decided to switch around a ceiling fan and a chandelier. Normally I would handle this sort of thing by myself, but there was a 3-way switch involved and the wiring was a little out of my wheelhouse. I called Collins Electric for a price quote on 6x LED canless lights and center an exitisting ceiling fan. Originally, i was given $70 per light x6 total of ($420) and $150 to center ceiling fan. I then get charged $150, which is an outrageous price for installation of a two-gang box and $150 for a rated fan box for a total of $720. The proper tool for a clean 6" hole would be using a hole saw, which was not available. The cuts were horrible cuts.. I was asked if they could use my two ladders, drywall utility knife, and laser dot. You can't send your workers to do a job without the proper tools and equipment. Thankfully, I had the tools needed for the job. But what if I didn't?? Walk away from doing the job? They left several smudges and pencil marks all over the ceiling, which weren't easy to remove. They made no effort to vacuum or pick up the mess or at least leave it the same way they showed up. Really disappointing, especially because they seemed so responsive and friendly during the initial booking call. Two stars because the initial contact was good! read more

I was generally fine with the end product, however, I was not very pleased with the communication. Part way through the job they just left. It was to get parts, but they never informed me. Also, a small thing one of the guys was a smoker. He never smoked in the house but the room he worked in needed to be aired out. However, the work it self was well done.
