The life guards are young and the kids seem out of control in the lap pool a lot. Running and jumping over people and almost on top of others. It's kind of a free for all. Lots for little ones to do but I haven't taken out young ones there due to the dress code which is not enforced. Lots of things and adult type dress or rather lack of dress and it's really hard to explain to a 4 yo why some ladies don't wear pants. Sadly the only pool around. read more

Absolutely disgusting customer service. I drove 45 minutes with my two young boys and this was our first time to check it out. The front desk said only season pass holders could get in at 11. I explained the situation and asked for a manager to see if they could make an exception. Not only did the manager turn us away, she didn't even bother to ask if we would consider buying the season pass. Pissed is minimally of what I would like to say. We will not be giving the establishment a dime. I explained to my children on our drive back home what basic principles of a good human being are and why it was the right thing to leave. A very nice little water park. I have a public pool phobia, so I can't bring myself to get in any of the pools, but my little man always has a great time here. He especially loves Monsoon Mountain. Think huge jungle gym with water! The lifeguards do a good job of keeping order and not allowing running, roughhousing etc. They have a snack bar where you can get drinks and food. It's nothing to write home about, but it fills the belly! Overall, it's a fun place to take the little ones to burn off some energy! It's very affordable if you live in Collinsville, a bit pricy for the rest of us. Don't forget the sunscreen! read more

This is our first time we had a terrible visit, and I am not sure if we're coming back after this been coming here for years. It started in the big pool where the rock climbing is on the swallow end pool, were on the side in a group talking and hanging out. Their were a lot of kids out of control in the pool and lifeguards were doing nothing about it or even paying attention. One kid decided it would be a good idea to jump over my head into the pool luckily she didn't fall on me. Then these other girls not paying attention knocked in to us multiple times and went right through our group, pushing through when there was plenty of room around us. I finally told the girl to go around us, it's rude and disrespectful to be going through like this. She became hostile and started to talk about us, swim around us giving us nasty looks and try to splash water in our face. I told them to knock it off and if they didn't like it to go somewhere els. They kept at it finally I decided to leave and go to the lazy river. My husband had to go to the bathroom, and after he left this girl came running grabbing the last tubs, so I couldn't get one. But the jokes on her, I didn't want one anyway, they were for kids. Then they got in the tube pool by stairs, harassing me again, talking about us and laughing at us. I finally had enough and told the guy lifeguard he needs to get these kids to leave me alone. He told me it looks ok now but if we need to he can get the manger lifeguard. I told him no they're going to keep doing it, I want to talk to the manger lifeguard. Finally, she starts to walk over the girl and her friend start walking away before they could leave I pointed out to the lifeguard. But she wasn't too helpful or useful waste of time and effort. I told her the issue and that they keep doing this they should have to get kicked out because I shouldn't have to deal with being harassed around the water park. All she said was I talk to them and I understand and they're kids you keep going at it, their keep doing it. You should just stay away from them, they stay away from you, don't look at each other. If they do it again, come to me and I talk to them again. Basically she didn't do anything the girl walked by still looked at us and I felt uncomfortable and not safe there so we decided to leave early. Like she's really going to stay away how she was acting, couldn't even go to the bathroom without my husband making sure this girl wouldn't follow me in. This whole thing is really just ridiculous were adults and their kids being disrespectful and rude, their parents' nowhere to be found. The lifeguard should have found the kids parents and gave them a warning and told the kids to knock off their bad behavior. The lifeguard didn't apologize or anything about what was going. Basically their saying its ok for this mistreatment all we want is your money. read more

Working for a teen camp, you have to find things for teenagers to do. What better way to cool off than at a water park. Add to it, a long bus ride on the hottest day of the summer (or so it would seem). The park is located in Collinsville, and conveniently located near 55/70 and 255, so it is a bit of a drive, if you aren't from the area, but who doesn't like a road trip? Splash City is open 11 am-7pm. If you arrive after 4pm, you get $5 off your admission! Prices start at $13 for children and $16 for adults. These are for non Collinsville residents. Now for the attractions. There is this wave machine called "Flow Rider" in which you get up on a surfboard. That was way cool! Monsoon Mountain is the bucket attraction that pours water on you, and there are water slides as well. They have concession if you get hungry and there is a store, in case you need a new swimsuit or more sunscreen. What better way to beat the heat! read more

The place closes when it reaches capacity for anyone that isn't a season pass holder. We were literally the last in line and we got there around 1pm. I was honestly expecting us to not get in as we left later than planned, but we did. Unfortunately being one of the last ones in, there wasn't a chair for us, so we used the canopied area with picnic tables. There was broken glass on the ground, but I notified an employee and it was taken care of. All of the lockers were also taken so I carried the bags around until we finally got an open chair about an hour after getting there. Lifeguards were very attentive yet friendly and the grounds were fairly clean from what I could tell. I did not use the restroom area or changing areas. I do wish there were more shaded areas and more seating as most people took four chairs. I live that you're able to come and go as you wish, because the concession line was very long. Also appreciated that cards and cash were accepted. I feel the price is a little high for one time users, but I can justify spending a little more to pay the lifeguards. If you want to guarantee getting in, go early. read more

Great water park for both kids and adults! Very pricy compared to other water parks I've been to but then again they're the mainly one around the area unless you're willing to travel far. This is not a six flags or ranging rivers water park. Much smaller and the same price as raging rivers. They did have a kiddy area and an actual pool. But no wave pool. They also have a "surfing" water attraction. If you're in the area go for it! read more

This place is great for kids up to about age 15, I would say. They have a lot of slides and a variety of pools. Some are so shallow even a baby just barely walking would be tall enough in it. The only complaint i had is that the lazy river is pretty small. read more

We loved this place!! Yes, it is expensive...I think it was just over $60 for us two adults and two kids (ages 7 & 8). However, we were there for about 4-5 hours and it was just a short 20 minute drive from our Downtown St. Louis location. There aren't many kid-friendly activities that you can do for that price that keep the kiddos busy for that long. I might add that myself and the hubby LOVED it too!! We had a ton of fun going down the slides. We went on a Saturday at about 11:00 am and had no trouble finding chairs. It was not too crowded, as there is plenty of room to run and explore. My only complaint is the food. It is horrible. Eat before you go or plan on stopping on the way home. They do not allow outside food, so keep that in mind (we did bring in a few bottles of water though). read more

Took kids there Wednesday for daughters birthday. We entered park at 4pm. When we bought tickets we were told if it rained out we would receive a voucher to be used on a different day. Rain clouds moved in and around 6pm life guards blew whistles and told everyone to exit the pools and play areas. We sat under the umbrellas on some chairs waiting to see if it would clear. After a few minutes we noticed the staff closing up all the umbrellas. We assumed we could remain under ours but much to our disbelief the staff didnt even speak to us they just began closing up the umbrella we were sitting under. We gathered our things and headed towards the bathrooms. We had to walk around the pool area and avoid stepping in. So we were walking under some umbrellas that hadnt been closed. A male employee began closing an umbrella while we were walking under it. I said excuse me thinking he would stop. He just laughed and continued lowering it. Where we were walking was close to the pool and there was no other way for me to walk. So I'm not sure why an employee would do this to a guest? We went into the changing rooms and they were flithly. Floors needs sprayed off. The shower curtains didnt close properly. Needs a good cleaning for sure. My wife went and asked someone in the office area what we needed to do to get our vouchers for our next visit. She was extremely rude and told her that they werent giving us vouchers and that the park was closing anyways. There are signs posted all over the place stating rainout policy. They wouldnt let anyone in the pools from 6pm. We were there up til close waiting and hoping we could get back in. We paid our money and we got treated like dirt. The staff just wanted to go home. They were rude. This was a visit for my daughters bday. This was the first time they were in Splash City. Probably their last. Why post signs saying in the event of rain keep your receipt and you can come back again when your staff doesnt follow the policy????? read more

Makes a bit sad to give such a poor review and I'm not usually one to complain. This is usually our favorite summertime spot. Went today to find that two attractions weren't open. Okay, that's fine, things happen and we were discounted. But the pools were filthy. The weeds around the lazy river were ridiculous. :( Then we went to the concession stand and found out they were out of many items. Finally paid six dollars for one tiny pack of dipping dots that was handed out by a rude staff member. One of the tunnel slides didn't have enough water power to to push the thirty five pound child we were with and she got stuck and had to climb the rest of the way in a bit of a panic. Restrooms desperately needed cleaning. If I would have paid full price, I would never return. I'm willing to give them another chance since I know it's early in the season and the area has been hit by storms. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

Since it is basically the only option we visit semi regularily. This place is run by the city so you can imagine how that leads to a "customer is never right" attitude. Many of the features are broken and the sandbox( while potentially awesome) is full of broken sand toys posing a hazard to all of the bare little feet. This year they have added a shake down at the front gate to ensure no snacks enter the park. Staffed by rude teenagers that seem more concerned with socializing and busting patrons for bringing in outside food, than lifeguarding. THey offer a tot play time on Friday mornings before the general public is admitted in. So that's nice becuase you get discounted admission and there are fewer people. However it's pretty ignorant to let little kids in, confiscate their snack sand then not open your concessions until 2 hours later. Little kids are always snacking, so if they want to force you to buy their food the least they could do is open the concessions! read more

Went today and took grandchildren for "tot time" Allowed early entrance into park at supposedly half price, but 2 adults, an 8yr old, 3yr old and 1yr old was $25.00 And that was with CARD (Collinsville resident) discount! Couldn't bring in drinks or snacks but concession stand wasn't open until 11 and it was VERY pricey. No water toys allowed, but kiddos did have a lot to do with slides and pools. Unfortunately grounds were weedy, and pools were dirty, even at this early hour. We wont return, and I'm disappointed in this CARD facility. read more

Splash city has a lot of potential to be a big money maker. It has great water play areas and the lifeguards are all very kind and helpful. It's great for kids and for families. And that is where my complements end! Today we went as a family treat. It was $50 for our family of four to get in. We arrived around 2:15 and swam and played until a few minutes after 3:30 when staff informed us that everyone had to get out due to inclement weather. 2 hours later, and a few raindrops, we were still waiting to get back in when they announced that they were closing down for the day (5:40 pm). We asked if we could get a pass for another visit and were told that they do not do refunds or rain checks. So basically my family, which does not have a lot of money, paid $50 to swim for an hour and fifteen minutes!! Not to mention the $26 we paid of lunch. Is there any wonder that CARD, which runs Splash City, is broke! Save your money and go somewhere, ANYWHERE, else!!! read more

This water park is a blast. I did take off one star for having a sucky and TINY lazy river. However, the water slides are fun, the lines weren't too bad considering it was a weekend. My son is 7 and was able to walk in all the water, did all the slides and did the surfing simulator. My 2 year old had a blast too with lots of shallow places for her to walk. All in all, well worth the money for a happy day in the sun. read more

$45 for 2 adults and a child and the lazy river got canceled which totally ruined the experience for me since that was my favorite part. also rescued a poor dying frog that was in it. I think if you pay that much everything should stay open or you at least get a discount, right??? read more
