I normally enjoy supporting local businesses, we have been season pass holders for years, but unfortunately our experience at Raging Rivers on June 20, 2026, was very disappointing. We ordered a pizza and waited over 45 minutes, only to receive one that wasn't fully cooked. We took it back, and they remade it, but the second pizza had the exact same problem. When we spoke with the manager, instead of taking responsibility or trying to make the situation right, he continued making excuses for what had happened. We left without any resolution. What made the experience even more frustrating was that my nephew had the same issue with his pizza. When he spoke with the same manager, he was given $80 in vouchers, while we received nothing for the exact same problem. The inconsistent treatment of customers was disappointing and unfair. I also witnessed something that was very upsetting. One employee publicly degraded another employee in front of numerous guests. The employees working the food stand were clearly working incredibly hard and doing the best they could under what appeared to be a very stressful situation. They deserved support from management, not criticism in front of customers. I understand that busy days happen and mistakes can be made. However, what stood out wasn't the mistake--it was how it was handled. Good leadership means taking responsibility, supporting your staff, and treating all customers fairly. We have been season pass holders for many years & I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! Here's the scoop: Tickets: it's expensive to go one time, season passes are where it's at. If you don't have a season pass & a friend or family member does they can get you in 1/2 off! Season passes are cheapest around Christmas for the next summer. Parking does cost a few bucks but is included in certain season passes if you plan to go often. You can also get slightly discounted tickets online if you pick your day in advance. Drinks & food: if you buy a reusable cup you can refill it all season, definitely worth it! Goes on sale preseason. Food lines get long and quality goes downhill later in the day, we have the best luck at Surfside right at noon. The chicken tenders and burgers come with fries and a drink for around $10 & both are decent! You can't bring anything but water in, but you can pack a lunch and enjoy it outside the gates at picnic tables! Best time to go: 10am, right when the doors open! You can get a good chair and have some time without a million other people in the pool, slides and lazy river. What's there: wave pool (waves go off at regular intervals), lazy river (tube provided but can't take it out of there), several slides, & a kid area. If you want a tube for the wave pool you can rent one (or get a pass for the season!). There isn't a ton of shade near water, and on busy days there may be a wait for a shaded table. Bring your sunscreen! Overall - it's totally worth season pass prices to my family, we've had lots of fun here & enjoy many days in the sun! There was plenty to do for our 3 year old. The lifeguards seemed attentive. The setting is great. The price is reasonable. There are plenty of mid level quality food option, and alcoholic drinks are available. I only had two complaints. Some of the basics like lawn chairs are showing their age. The biggest complaint was the clientele. After 2pm it got a little unruly, including kids who were too big to be on the toddler section, which was basically used as the babysitter for parents who didn't care. We also smelled cannabis several times after that point. As per any attraction around the Saint Louis area, get there early and leave in the afternoon before the bad crowd moves in. This isn't the park's fault obviously, but it's sad that's the norm anymore. We bought season passes. We'll be back. read more

We always have a good time at Raging Rivers! It brings me back to childhood when I used to go, when it wasn't under water! It isn't fancy. But my kids (6 and 8) love the wave pool, lazy river, and slides. They always have deals leading up to the season and season pass sales. The food can be overpriced and lines long, so bring your own and eat outside the gates (it's not allowed into the park). The lifeguards always seem well trained, a must! The facilities are so so - bathrooms and locker rooms with showers and changing rooms could use an upgrade. But the view makes it worth the while! read more

I'm not quite sure how this place still exists... the water is beyond disgusting, very cloudy, and several pieces such as bandaids, bugs, and other random debris. Sadly, I found a tiny metal shard in my swim suit! I thought something had bit me, but no, it was a METAL SHARD! They treat their employees horribly. Our server for our cabana (that we only got water ONCE for bc two servers passed out), was so sweet and we witnessed her pass out, and THEN they made her still deliver her food orders. 4 employees passed out today and every ambulance that small town has, was called there. My friend's son found a broken tile, with sharp edges, at the bottom of the pool. Operations manager was awful and rude. Long lines on hot concrete and there aren't that many attractions (several were closed due to various reasons). Oh, and we had to wait THREE HOURS for our food because they kept losing our order and then it took an hour to make... I will never be coming here again. Ever. read more

I sent the following feedback to Raging Rivers on July 30, and I got no reply: Hello, I am a long-time fan of Raging Rivers. In fact, I first brought a group to the park in 1998 and have come at least once each summer. From 2005-2016, I coached a swim team and brought about 60 kids out for a day at Raging Rivers to celebrate our season. Now, my kids and I look forward to our visit, and we have never been disappointed...until Monday, July 19. I'm not sure if the park is under new management or if costs are being cut, but there were certainly corners being cut on this day (and maybe for the whole summer): 1. On two visits to the wave pool, I had to ask when the waves would begin again. At one point, I KNOW 30 minutes went by without waves before we finally went onto a new activity. Please know that the wave pool and the swirl pools are the only thing setting the park apart from some of the other municipal pools and waterparks in the St. Louis area, and one of these two attractions was not really running. My kids were getting frustrated, and so were the families around us. Additionally, you've cut off the deeper part of the wave pool, no longer allowing swimmers to go into that area. This chance to swim in the deep part of the wave pool set your wave pool apart from the shallow wave pool at Hurricane Harbor, but no longer. 2. While I appreciate that a new attractions seems to be in the process of being added, I didn't know that this would close the Runaway Raft ride for the summer. It doesn't look like it's been open in a while. No work was being done on the new attraction while we were there. 3. You've taken down the tire swing in the kids area. I have some great pictures of my kids on that slide from the past. They are typically easy. They can even have fun on that for half an hour, but now it's gone with no explanation. 4. We like to eat nachos at the Mexican restaurant on site (Casa Grande?), but it was closed. We have - in the past - actually looked forward to the food options at Raging Rivers, but the food I ended up with included a "chicken sandwich" that was actually just three chicken fingers placed on a stale bun. Plus, you've eliminated the "order number" system that - in the past - enabled me to quickly order and then return to a table with my kids. This year, I had to wait to get to the window and then wait for my food. I used to marvel at how quickly our food came out, and I enjoyed not having to wait at a window while the order was prepared. We spent $30 per person to get into the park on this day. In the past, we have waited for deals (I'm part of the email list) like "A Days" and occasional buy one-get ones. However, we knew the price when we made the drive (from O"Fallon, MO) to go to the park. It has always been worth at least $30 per person, whether we had to pay that or not. However, this year we got a total of 5 slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool that only occasionally ran. We could have enjoyed that for $8 at Wappelhorst Pool in St. Charles. I hope to learn in the future that Raging Rivers has once again made itself worth my drive and money again. I want it to be a destination for my kids and I that is worth it. This is an underwhelming experience. The staff at the park all look miserable. The food is just overpriced frozen food. Cabanas are not private. They are simply a patio pergola with some seating and are set right next to each other with no privacy. I had to go ask where our staff was to get more water at our cabana. read more

A lot of fun in a hot afternoon!!! Typically I avoid these places like the plague but a friend and I felt adventurous and we were hot!!! It was a lot better than expected but a few things caught my attention and I thought Raging Rivers might want to know... $5 for parking is wildly unexpected and unexplainable. Then $10 for a locker, which you get $5 back is just silly...how did you get to charge $10. We went on a weekday and the lines were short but the lazy river is more like a lazy bathtub...it's so short I nearly got vertigo from seeing my self coming as I was going! Maybe! You should take the funds from the locker charge $5 and use it to expand the bathtub to a river!!! I can picture it, long and winding around the park a few bridges crossing over, waterfalls, ice cold water!!! Yep!!! AND the swirl pool, something is terrifying- good job!!! Raging Rivers has lots to do and is tucked out in the middle of nowhere. Which kinda gives it some appeal. It overlooks the Mighty Mississippi. There is a Wave Pool, my favorite! I can stay in that thing for hours! They have two large slides, a Swirl pool, lazy river, "Runaway raft ride", shark slide, and "ity bity surf city" for the kiddos. This was the first place I ever had "dippin dots" a must anytime you go! Its a great family attraction, but if you have a large family it can be pricey, so bring a picnic lunch to enjoy! Really decrepit. Water slides were closed. The stairs to the "toilet bowl" side were gone and replaced with astroturf and mud. The last six feet up were slippery clay mud. When an older lady asked the life guard why the water slides were closed, the kid who seemed unable to care less responded with an "I dunno" and looked away. The kids was sprawled out over a couple of chairs which were being used to block the party to the slides. The interaction was disrespectful to the older woman. So if you had gone today you paid $30+ per person to access the lazy river, wave pool (needs plaster repair), the toilet bowl slides (dangerous to get to it in my opinion) and the young kids park:/shark slide. Visited: August 6th, 2011 My boyfriend and I went to Raging Rivers Water Park with his brother's family and his niece's friend Dakota on a Saturday. On the day that we went, it was kind of crowded, which made it somewhat difficult to find seats for 8 people. It was another scorcher with the peak temperature at 96 degrees. Because of the heat, it made the ground extremely hot and difficult to walk on with bare feet. It cost about $17 for guests 48" and under + senior citizens and about $20 for guests above 48". The park itself seemed a little small in comparison to Wild Rivers in Irvine, CA. There were a few rides that I went on, and they weren't too bad. I enjoyed the lazy river a lot because you could stay on it as long as you wanted. There were a good amount of food stands for everyone and there was also a gift shop for those who needed stuff for the water park experience. I didn't get the full experience because my feet were hurting so bad from walking on the hot ground. I would have to say that the bad thing about this park is that to get to some of the rides, you have to climb steep hills on pavement. And with the ground being hot that day, it made walking it worse. My experience might have been slightly different had it not been so hot and crowded. read more

They ran out of pitchers so they were giving us bottle of waters which couldn't have been cheap. Put up the curtains on the cabanas too. Tired of people walking through ours. I come to raging rivers a lot because I have a season pass and have had one for years. Pretty much the one complaint I have is that ground at the Waterpark burns your feet because it is so extremely hot and the grit on the concrete rubs your feet raw, so you have to wear shoes. There's not really much the Waterpark staff can do, but I recommend you wear some type of water shoes. read more

I never went here as a kid, but it wasn't until my adult years (late 20's) that I took my nephews to Raging Rivers. I can tell at one point it was the one place to go for family fun, with several water rides to choose from. At this point, it's just an indication that it is going downhill. My wife and I took a 4 kids ages 3 thru 13. They all had a blast. I saw the life guards go into the water at least 3 times. Not because it wasn't safe but because they don't hesitate. I was very impressed. I also watched a gentlemen all a life guard to give his daughter a " swim test" where the toilet bowl slide comes out. The life guard did it with our hesitation, pulled the girl out when she couldn't swim and thanked the gentlemen for being forward thinking. Very well run & safety oriented. I know that I am a grown adult but this is my first time at Raging Rivers. I was invited to a private after hours event. They shut the park down and we had the whole park to ourselves. The floating river was nice and relaxing. We had a table next to the wave pool and holy cow. I wish I would have brought a paddle board to try my turn at that again. The food was typical water park, not bad but nothing to write home about. I finally get what the water park craze. read more

What a pleasant environment.... Of-course there is the crowds in the heat of the summer and so challenges with the parks layout, but I thoroughly enjoy every trip here. I am from the area and have visited quite often over the years. Now that I am an "Adult" and have a family I have had more fun with my young boys in their play area playing with them then I ever did enjoying the larger more adult friendly park.. This place deserves 5 stars in my book because I've always had a super fun experience every time I've been here. I may be a little partial to it because with a military discount the one day admittance of $24.95 is pretty much cut in half making it a super fun day in the sun on the cheap. Also, there's a $5.00 parking fee which isn't that bad. It may be a little bit of a drive to get to Grafton, IL for most people but I really think it's short, takes about 30 minutes and it's a pretty scenic drive once you hit the IL side. This water park is definitely not that big, there's only about three interesting rides for adults plus the Endless River and Wave Pool. It is way less crowded compared to Six Flags making it much easier to go on the slides repeatedly without being in line for ages. So even though there isn't much to do, it's very manageable to just keep on going down the slides that you do enjoy. My only complaint here which really isn't a big deal is the trek to get to the slides. It's way uphill and it can get difficult to walk up with bare feet especially when they're starting to get pruney. Other than that, I really recommend going here during the hot summer months. read more

The lifeguards are very attentive and seem to take their job seriously. A medical emergency happened while I was there, 2 employees in white shirts who were eating lunch took off to assist. I drove by this place in late autumn of 2009. Of course the park was closed for winter by then, but I remember thinking this is an awesome setting for a water park, right off the scenic Palisades Pkwy and sits on a hill full of trees directly facing the Mississippi river. I made my first trip to this water park today and truly enjoyed my two and half so hours spent there. It has all your standard water park attractions, a large oceanic entry wave pool (this is the only area where you have to pay to rent a tube), kiddy play areas and shallow water pools, a lazy river (which is disappointing due to its short course and the lack of water distractions along the way), and four "main" rides (two flumes, one flume-like ride that they call the runaway rafts, and two swirl-pool (what I call toilet bowls as they shoot you into a bowl (one covered and one uncovered) where you spin until you drop into a deep water pool at the bottom). My favorite was the swirl-pool but the other ones were fun as well and definitely great for kiddies. You have to do a bit of climbing up hills to get to the rides on top of the park. I thought it was ingenious as you could see the Mississippi and the Palisades roadway while waiting for your turn. However, I did see some people catching their breaths in small breaks on their way up. Just be aware. Overall, it was a fun park at an interesting geographic location. I did not think it was worth $19 bucks a person (over 48"), especially considering they also charge $5 per car for parking (and there isn't any other parking options nearby). However, the after 3 pm rate is $15 bucks per person (over 48") which made the deal a little bit sweeter (although IMO still not worth it considering we had to drive 52 minutes from west part of St. Louis). We recently went to Raging Rivers with three adults and three children. It was nice to have a central area to keep all of our things. I love that the tubes are available for the lazy river and some rides without paying extra. I hate it when you get nickel and dimed for stupid shit like that. My only complaint would be that all but two of the lifeguards were extremely distracted. I don't know if it is because of their age or what, but they were talking to each other, one was trying way to hard to look cool with his glasses and water bottle in front of these girls, and another girl had some friends visiting her and they were engrossed in a conversation about some other girl who they apparently didn't like. Overpriced and way too crowded. Based on what I've heard I thought it was going to be a lot bigger and have more things to do. There are eight things but two are very little kiddy, and the rest are kind of boring. For it costing $20 a person just to get in I wanted to have a blast but we did everything and then just wanted to go somewhere else.
