But, there are some major issues, too. First, Cape Splash is expensive. My 2 yo cost $9. Most places don't even charge for kids that little. Our family of five cost $47 total. Woof. Second, cleanliness is the worst problem. At the base of the tall slides, sludge has accumulated. And there are rocks and debris at the bottom of almost everything. The locker rooms? Disgusting. One of my kids said he'd rather change in the car. Broken urinal, an inch of standing water in spots, etc. Overall, three stars. Would love to give more. But cost and cleanliness MUST improve.

Also, unruly kids running, throwing rocks, etc and the lifeguards do nothing. It's insane. The locals seem to love this place...but if you've ever been to ANY OTHER "waterpark" - you'd know it's seriously lacking. There is another one in St Genieve (almost an hour north) that is newer, cleaner, and better staff.

They have a twilight summer deal where tickets are around $35/person and $20 for basic parking. Parking wasn't an issue because there was practically no one there and we were so close. There is a security check point now. Sad. We got in right away and rode the Batman -- used to be a favorite but all got off and had a headache. Mr Freeze changed back in 2013 where you start in reverse now so you can see yourselves go up that drop and fall. Our lives flashed before our eyes for sure. With no break in between rides I lost my equilibrium and had to sit out for American thunder and the boss. Nothing sold but sugar drinks. We found Powerade at a stand for $5, no lids, no straws. Nothing but sugar and made my headache even worse. The place was bought out by enchanted parks. I've heard mixed things but apparently they will be making changes or adding new rides next year? If your group is large, they will check . Secondly, the park is 10x cleaner than I've ever seen in the past. Most importantly, the staff is friendly!! I know, hard to believe, but they really are. Staff was singing songs with the riders, having conversations and smiling. They actually appeared to be enjoying their jobs and liked being there. I'm a season pass holder every year and I've never enjoyed six flags more than I am now. 100% recommend, and I'm very impressed with the improvements. Keep up the great work!!!!

We packed up and spent four hours there and were super impressed. The place was well kept, the water was clean and a good temp. It was 101 degrees out so it was busy but there was plenty of room for everyone. Our son loved loved loved the lazy river and the tipping water bucket. All of the lifeguards (and there were at least 5 for the small park) were attentive and courteous. We packed our own food so I don't have any input on the concessions but they appeared to have all of the basics. For the 3 of us it was $25 all total to get in. I will tell you this... put. your. flip. flops. close. to. the. water. We're novices and put everything way on the other side of the park and the pavement was SCORCHING. Like blisters on my feet. I went several times with a twelve year old and a fifteen year old and we all had so much fun. It fills up quickly on nice days so don't wait until you feel it's prime time to go to the pool, you will not get the best seats in the house and the place kind of crowds up quickly. From the pool to the swinging rope to the little snack bar, you will have a great time and won't be disappointed I'm sure. Oh, and can you say Doggie Dive In?? Don't forget to bring your four legged friend the day/weekend after labor day. Our pups always have a fantastic time!

There is also an indoor kids' place area called the RiverChase rainforest. There is a child watch room here too for parents who want to exercise. There is an indoor walking lap area and I saw some exercise area. The shower has a swimsuit spinner machine to help the swimsuit dry. There are lockers but no locks so if you go bring your own lock. There is no sauna or stream room.
