    Dulce de Leche Caramel Latte

Got the Dulce De Leche latte and it was so yummy. Great spot right in the middle of Lawrenceville for a quick coffee. Food looked great so i will be back to try!

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided to go to the Columbino Food Truck. We had actually tried to go to this location of Columbino the week before but for whatever reason, they weren't there. In any case, this Columbino location is a food truck that's located in a parking lot on Butler Street in between 38th and 39th street. The truck itself has steps that you have to walk up to order and then the other side has a window where you can retrieve your order whenever it is ready. For our coffees on this morning I decided to go with a real pistachio nut latte while my wife went with a real hazelnut latte and then we added on the arepa Colombiana as well since my twins loved the last one. The person working that day told us that we got the last bit of each of those nut butters and so that they would only have enough to make 12 oz lattes. After a little bit of a wait we had our coffees and arepa and sat down at one of their tables. We first started out with the arepa and it was good. It had chorizo on the rim, an arepa on both sides and then a pinto beans and green plantain filling. As with the last arepa we got from a Columbino, my twins loved the chorizo on the outside although this location was much stingier than the north side one in that regards. Then my wife and I both loved the Arepa itself as the outside was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside while the filling was flavorful. As we were eating that, both my wife and I tried our coffees. Mine ended up being pretty good as there was a nice balance of milk to coffee and i liked that I could taste the coffee. While I did like the pistachio flavor that I was able to taste, I wish that there had been a little bit more to it. My wife ended up enjoying her coffee though and was happy to have gotten the real hazelnut latte. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I do like Columbino and what they are doing with both their food and coffee drinks and would be more than happy to patronize this truck again.

Food/coffee truck that resides on Butler Street. They have picnic tables so you can grab your coffee and food and enjoy right there! Tried their seasonal Maple Pecan latte and it hit the spot! Their Arepas looked amazing, I will have to go back for them. The staff is super friendly and helpful- I was between a few latte flavors but with their recommendation picked an absolute winner! There is street parking available nearby! Next time you're in Lawrenceville- you should definitly check them out!

We went for cold brew and of course couldn't not order food once we were surrounded by the delicious smells! The empanadas are superb. The crust is so crunchy and delicious. I've had a lot of empanadas in my day and their filling is really unique and I could probably eat a tray of them *chefs kiss* but the dipping sauce it comes with is literally out of this world. I need a jar of it. The Pan De Queso was also really really good. It came with dulce de leche dipping sauce and again very uniquely different than most dulce de leches that I've tried. This place seriously has its own flavors on regular classics and I am so happy that I am within a 8 minute drive of this place. Staff was super friendly and you can't beat being in the heart of the strip for some good people watching while you munch! I can't wait to try the guava and cheese croissant and the dulce de leche hot chocolate on my next visit!

The plantains are sweet, which I don't think I personally like as much in the arepa on their own. The smoothie was good and felt healthy, not too sweet, which was good and was a decent size. The mokoa had great reviews from someone I was with, they said it was the top 3 they've ever had, so I will be back to try coffee drinks. Prices were on the average side of expensive for drinks (around $7) and the food was around good price ($7-8 per arepa). It is at a convenient location for me and they make the parking lot cute with a few tables (since they are a food truck).

It was pretty dead in the actual restaurant itself, but honestly, I was looking to get in and out, so I can't speak to the ambiance much. The chips had something insanely odd going on with them. The chips tasted and smelled like they had some type of cleaning solution/product on them - something was just off. I was scared to eat anymore after realizing what was making my mouth taste sudsy (minus the bubbles). Then I was hesitant to eat the other foods that were fried because I wasn't sure what would have made the chips taste like that. Was it the chip itself, was it something in the oil that wasn't fully cleaned out, was it residue in the bag - I have no clue. But either way, the taste just lingered, so there was an underlying, sudsy taste to anything I ate afterwards. I do think the other items were fine, but can't be 100% certain. The flavor and quality of the food overall was okay. As for the dipping churros, we received neither of the dips that were supposed to come with them. We just got plain churros, which were an option, and several dollars cheaper, but we ordered the dippers. Bit of a disappointing experience.
