They're a small shop, but very friendly, straightforward, and they do great work. Upon paying for my oil change (which was only $20) they brought a few issues with my car to my attention. I never had to pay for an inspection, and they weren't trying to "strong-arm" me into getting any more work done. What they did do was find legitimate issues with my car that I was unaware of, and tell me when I should address them. The quotes they gave me were very reasonable (much cheaper than an NTB, a Conrad's, or a dealership), so I decided to come back a few weeks later. Frankly, I never left. Since that first job I have had several other repairs done, and have nothing but good things to say about the quality of work. If you're looking for friendly and honest guys who actually care about their job and their customers, give F-n-J a try. They lack the glamor and size of a corporate shop, but they're affordable, skilled, and not intimidating in any way. Highly recommended!

Over the past few years I've had my vehicle serviced prior to our road trips only to have multiple issues with my tires only after being serviced. The valve stems on both of our vehicles have either been loosened or broken which requires repair or total replacement from a local tire shop. I've brought the issue to the service departments attention only to receive discounts off our next service. Rather than stop or correct the technician nothing has been done after this has happened multiple times.

The thing is, with a wet sump oil system, I can't take my car to any Joe Shmo oil change place and I've even been advised to avoid dealerships; these guys don't know what they are doing. The car has to be running for so long, the temperature has to be just right, all of these variables have to be met before changing the oil. The car was running fine and no warning lights were on. After they repaired the air conditioner, two miles from the shop, the check engine light started flashing. They said it was safe to drive, and to bring it back in. It isn't ok to drive a car that is misfiring, so I had it towed to the shop. They then said it needed a new knock sensor $90 and replaced that. Then all sorts of warning lights started flashing and they said it needed a new ABS Pump & Module $1289. At this point we were hamstrung and reluctantly agreed. Roughly $3500 later, on the way home again the airbag light went on and the fasten seat belt light started flashing. At this point I wouldn't trust them to open the car door, let alone attempt to fix anything ever again. Lesson learned, don't take your car to Mangols.
