They cited that their shop has been sued multiple times in the past Which makes me wonder what they have done to be sued so many times that they had to create a policy. The gentleman behind the desk and one of the mechanics suggested that I lie in the future about having done any work on my car so they are actually promoting lying and dishonest acts Which further makes me worry about and wonder about their integrity and adds Creedence to the fact that they have been sued multiple times. I would highly recommend trying somewhere else and not doing any business with this place. My father and brother were mechanics and I grew up around a garage and it is worrisome and unethical to turn down work out of fear of being sued again. There are plenty of other garages in the area. The reason for one star off was the first time we tried to pick up the car. It wasn't done. They have failed to replace one part. When we complained, the blond laughed. She seemed surprised and annoyed that we refused to take the car and that before we left, we expected her to find the part so we could get an estimate on when it would be ready. Everyone else there was helpful, respectful, and professional.

My experience with Crash Champions Bainbridge was about as bad as it gets. It's a long story, but…read moreworth the read. This was an older car, 2014, but very well cared for and we had just put several thousand dollars into it to get a few more years out of it. - Accident in January, took the car there as it was Progressive's preferred body shop - Received repair estimate and pleased to learn it would not be totaled, which is often the case with older cars. Was told repairs would take a month or more due to parts issues but had no problem with this. - After about two months, a new estimate for twice the initial estimate is delivered and Progressive lists the car as totaled. - I work on my own cars and have restored many classics over the past 40 years, so I decide to have another look to help decide if I want to buy it back as salvage and repair. - Car is outside with the front end dismantled including weather stripping on the door. Keep in mind that I drove this in after the accident. I ask if they still have the parts and am told yes. - I decide to buy the car back and repair myself. - On requesting the car back, I'm told parts are missing (some expensive parts that I would have used as core exchanges and some just plain stupid, like they removed trim and badging on undamaged parts of the car. - Crash Champions then tells me I owe them roughly $1,000 for parts they ordered and couldn't return since they destroyed the boxes. - I finally was able to get Progressive to intervene (no easy task) and the car is returned sans the front end on a flat bed. - In conclusion, I repaired the car myself with mostly new and a few used parts for about 20% of the Crash Champions estimate. In Ohio, the insurance company declares a car totaled. So, make your decision about where to take your care very, very carefully. In my case, I foolishly went where Progressive suggested. Like many, perhaps most body shops, Crash Champions set out to heavily milk the insurance company for everything they could, example, a chip on my door handle paint, about the size of a grain of rice was why they dismantled my door, inside and out, for repainting. The chip was there since I bought the car 8 years ago. The fact that they even tried to get $1 out of me is nuts. Do they do this to others? Hopefully they fight back as I did. Lastly, if the numbers seem off on your estimate, spend the extra cash to have it towed somewhere else for an estimate. Avoid places like Crash Champions - I feel like a Jeep dealer would have clocked in Lower than the numbers they came in with and it would have saved me the hassle of the salvage to rebuilt title process and the higher insurance rates that go with a rebuilt title. Post note: I later learned that although in Progressive's case, they know they are being overcharged, they accept it in return for free storage of cars at Crash Champions. Probably why they are their preferred vendor in the first place.
