I have gone to Drellishak's on a couple occasions with different cars over the years, I usually do my own work on my vehicles but when I can't resolve the issue I take it to them. I have found them to be honest and the work has been good! I have on many occasions sent others to their shop including friends and family members. My car was making a funny noise and I wanted to have it checked before I began a 520 mile trip. I called a number of places. Drellishak's on Center Ridge worked me in. I needed tires and an alignment. They did not begin any work until I had an estimate and had approved the services. I wish I could give them 6 stars. My car broke down I went to another auto repair shop and I was not impressed with the pricing. I decided then to go to Drellishak's and see if they can beat the price. I only did they beat it, they beat it by several hundred dollars. Then I got called later that day and was told my car was done!! When I was expecting it to be done 4 days later! I had issues processing my payment over the phone, so they were willing to come and pick up my card because I was stuck at home with the kids. They have a customer for life! read more

My family has been coming to Drellishak's for more then 20 years. We have told all our friends that they provide top notch service. I have had several repairs done here and they all have been done well. This last time that my car was towed to this repair shop I was told that a tune up with 3 coil packs was going to cost $1100. This is a basic tune up. The dealer quoted me $450 for this work. When I called to ask for justification in the HUGE difference in price. Frank screamed at me like I was common street trash and stated that Frank was calling the police to get my car off of his property because Frank was tired of people not paying for the work that was done. I had no problem paying for the work as I have in the past in CASH! I just asked simply for clarification for the huge price. NOT COOL FRANK! I was a good customer! read more

The staff is friendly but every repair I've had there I've had issues with. About 2 years ago I had a clutch replaced on a 2004 Toyota Corolla and just 1 month ago the clutch started to slip and needed replaced AGAIN with less than 25,000 miles on it. Just this year I had my 4runner in for exhaust noise and they told me it was my heat shield and then proceeded to up sell a brake repair on the truck. A few days after getting the truck back, the noise started again and I took it to NTB only to find out the entire exhaust system had rusted out. How do you miss something that huge!?! read more

Simply put, Drellishak's is one of the best garages you can go to for auto repair. I ended up going there to get my e testing failure fixed, and they wowed me. First, they were able to accommodate me with an appointment that day (most garages I've been to can't do this, and D's might be similar--you still might be better calling in and planning for an appointment beforehand). Second was their service. Their prices are acceptable, and the mechanic who worked on my vehicle clearly explained what needed to be fixed. The problem was fixed, too, after they worked on it. During another appointment where my vehicle needed major work done, the mechanic sat down with me in the lobby and clearly explained everything that was wrong and needed to be fixed. He didn't talk down to me and I could tell his sincerity--he was not lying to me with fabricated claims of repairs that needed to be made. He was delicate about how he broached the topic of the high price for the repairs, and seemed to feel sorry that it would run as much as it would. Definitely earned my respect. So I accepted the repairs, and I'm damned grateful that I did. They fixed my car, and I plan to extend its life by taking it to them for maintenance. And even after the repairs, which required my car be in the shop for one day, when I came back to pick it up and pay my invoice, the clerk at the counter wanted to look over it to make sure it was correct , and also to see if she could apply any discounts. She found some errors (duplicative repairs listed--likely a mistake made due to the invoice itself being visually confusing because of the many repairs that were listed on it that I was having done). But she took her time and studied the invoice, caught the mistakes and removed them and was able to apply a discount. Because of the removed repairs my total went down and therefore so did its tax. And because my total was so high my tax was high--so with the duplicative repairs removed and the tax altered (and the discount) , my price went down by maybe $150 (although I can't fully remember--this was years ago). Just be careful--I don't remember the discount itself being that large, so don't expect these savings. What is important is that they caught their mistake, and that they looked over the invoice. What's nice, too, is that your invoice details all of the work you've had done to your vehicle, so it's easy to keep track of what repairs you've had done to your vehicle during its life. I have never regretted taking my car to Drellishak's. They do good work and are honest, and won't give you the runaround. Now, some criticism--when I've dropped my car off, even for things like oil changes , it takes a while. Several hours. This is likely due to the large queue of cars they have in that need to be fixed, and probably often, those repairs needed are substantitive and thus take a while. But don't quote me on this--your experience with the wait time may be different. Still, though, these folks are accommodating and great. There's a large lobby with a vending machine if you prefer to wait there, but.... One of my favorite things about Drellishak's is its location! It's right across the street (literally) from a shopping plaza. You've got a Qdoba, McDonald's, cafe, Dairy Queen, etc. And you're walking distance from an Arby's. Also there is a Home Depot, Marc's, and a movie theater. You're also walking distance from a mega Target and other great shopping. You could seriously make a day out of it and have a great time--I have. It's so refreshing--I can't tell you how many hours I've spent waiting for repair work to be completed in garage lobbies in the height of monotonous boredom. It's nice to be able to get out, stretch your legs, and have a great time. If you want good work done from people who won't rip you off, come to Drellishak's. read more

This is unequivocally an excellent auto repair shop. We own four Honda automobiles, and have brought several of them in to Drellishak's for various repairs over the last several years. The cost has always been markedly lower than what we'd be faced with at the local Honda dealership. The shop has a "small town" feel, and is very accommodating in making impromptu, unscheduled appointments. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to resolve the issue at hand. I should say that I found out about Drellishak's from the auto mechanics at Lube Stop. When it comes to cars, I always seek the advice of fellow auto mechanics before paying the big bucks. read more

Check engine light was on. $85 for diognostics. Was told for $85 they go over everything throughly. Every wire and so forth. Car needed a fuel pump. $125 for the pump $598 total bill!!!! (charged me for 5 hours for labor). I live across the street and watched them on a Saturday. They had it in the garage for 90 minutes. (that's 1 1/2 hour of real labor). They called me and told me the car was ready. I argued about the bill with no results. On the way out of the lobby the service guy said "buy the way, your check engine light is still on". Are you kidding me??? Never , Never , Again!! read more

I went in to the repair center because previous work had been satisfactory. My car this time was making 'creaking' noises and my rear breaks squealed a very high pitched sound when reversing. Also, the alternator tensioner was making a noise on starting then after 10 seconds it would stop. I was told and agreed to have some parts on the front steering assembly replaced which would stop the 'creaking' and they would fix the rear brake noise. A week later I had the parts replaced and the break noise fixed and the alternator noise fixed. One of the service men took it for a test drive. There was a very slight shimmy when I went 60. Never mentioned that to them. Four days later I had to take the car back. The 'creaking' was worse, the car shimmed at 70, the rear breaks still squeaked but the alternator noise was gone. The sound in the front was fixed by FINISHING the job by tightening the bolts in the steering assembly. The rear breaks were fixed by polishing a bolt in the breaks. The shimmy would be solved when I spent another $600.00 on tires and rims. The original bill was +/- $700.00 plus 5 hours of my time. The breaks squeal louder now then before. The 'creak' is gone and the alternator noise is gone. And so am I. read more
