I had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Ken Ganley Hyundai Parma. They were dishonest about what my car actually needed and tried to pressure me into paying for unnecessary parts and services. I felt like I was being misled rather than helped. When I questioned their recommendations, the staff became rude and dismissive instead of explaining things professionally. At one point, it felt like they were holding my car "hostage" unless I agreed to the additional charges, which is completely unacceptable. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs here. Based on my experience, I would not trust this service department. read more

The service mgr lied that my battery was weak and they would install one for $225. I decided to go to AutoZone to check prices. The mgr there opened the hood and saw the terminal bolt was loose. He tightened it and the battery tested good. The service mgr had no idea how that happened. I talked to the dealership mgr and he said it was an honest mistake about the loose bolt and that AutoZone's battery tester might have been bad. I will never go back for maintenance because I believe they lied to get me to buy a battery. read more

I received a fair purchase price give the low inventories due to covid - and I was greatly surprised by the generous trade-in offer on my previous car - a low-mileage 2015 Honda Fit. My sister and i went to the dealership on a Monday afternoon. I wanted to go there because I had gotten my last car there and always had good service. Unfortunately, that was not the case with this visit. When we got to the dealership, we looked on the lot for about 10 minutes and were never approached by a salesman. We went inside to look at cars, and again was not approached. I had to go to the desk and request someone. Eventually we got a salesman who was somewhat repetitive about the history of the dealership. My sister had recently bought a new car of a different brand, which he then belittled because it was not a Hyundai. I had looked at a couple of cars online, so I had an idea of what I wanted. I took a couple of test drives and he printed out the pricing on two cars on the same sheet. I put a deposit down and planned to return on Wednesday to complete the purchase. On Wednesday, when we were going over the financing, we were told that the price for my car was the higher price on the sheet, and it had printed incorrectly. The difference was over$1000. The salesman and sales manager were less than apologetic, and after a lot of haggling, we made up the difference in other ways, but not the price. I very nearly considered backing out of the deal, but I had already been without a car for a while and it was still a reasonable price. However, the final straw was on the drive home when I looked down at the gas tank. I'm used to picking up new cars with a full tank. Imagine my surprise to see only a quarter tank as I headed home from the dealership. The only saving grace was Luis from finance. Otherwise, they would have completely lost my sale. read more

This dealer will scam you if given the opportunity. I gave a credit card number over the phone to hold a car as a deposit. I did this because I am 3 hours away from the dealer. When the deal didn't go through, the dealer would not give me my deposit back unless I emailed them my credit card information and I.D. They didn't need me to email this to them when the deposit was made. Their foolish argument is "Well we might credit the wrong card information and you won't get the deposit." There's no one there with common sense who can repeat the card information over the phone to process the credit. DO NOT GIVE THIS DEALER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO HOLD A CAR. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Kia or Hyundai. They do not stand behind what they sell. Don't know what has changed they used to be great. And how much are they paying the transportation safety board to look the other was on a defect in the column allowing it to be started without the factory key. I guess the plus this dealer said they would install an alarm for $750 . MiracleSheild a few downs down charges $300 for an alarm that has a remote starter.
