so I went in with 2 others to have our hair done for my wedding and I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted when she was finished she showed me my hair and I was mortified because my hair looked nothing like what I wanted but me being me I told her it looked great as I didn't have time to have it completely redone and walked away! I went to watch one of my girls get her hair finished and the lady kept knotting her hair as she does have long thick curly hair and couldn't figure out how to braid it without constantly knotting it and it came out very messy! To say we were completely unsatisfied with all of it would be and understatemen! I'm sorry but never again! read more

I'm from Seattle where all the barbershops are run by standoffish hipsters with ironic facial hair. They charge $40 base for a men's cut. This place by contrast is run by sweet approachable folks and they charge less than $20. I loved my cut. Check this place out. read more

I had a great haircutting experience here. Came in from out of town to a new barber, guy cut my hair with lots of good recommendations. Got a straight razor shave on top of it all, man was never rushed out or a thing despite other barbers seeing 3-4 customers during the time he took to cut my hair. Total price for everything was a bargain. Place had signs inside saying that they've been in the area for a long time and it is definitely noticeable. Moved to the area recently and was in need of a haircut. Barbers listen to what you want and genuinely want to make a good impression. $15 for a cut which is a good price anywhere, and an even better price for the general area where a haircut in other parts of town exceeds $20 before tip. Has four chairs which are all in use - some places do not fill all seats. Will be returning often! read more

Used to frequent this barber shop every two weeks or so, or occasionally on my lunch breaks. The going rate for a haircut was $10-12 for something pretty basic, so why not? However, unfortunately for them I ended up purchasing my own clippers for $12 and eventually graduated to shaving my head, haven't had a haircut since. Anyways, this walk-in barber shop is generally fairly empty during the day but gets busier the closer it gets to closing time. I've waited up to 45 minutes for a haircut in here.. I've only ever seen women barbers and they can get awfully chatty. The barbers were always very friendly and would let me go in the back room and give myself a good brushing off with a towel before I left. Learned an ironic lesson coming here, the less hair a guy has, the longer it seems to take to cut it. Stop in early and you'll get more than your money's worth. read more

When I went, it was all women barbers. I see someone mentioned a man barber, so maybe it's a different staff. But anyway, I really liked them, they were pleasant and gave a good cut. The thing is they were really slow. Each time I went (weekends) there were 3 or 4 of them, with probably 5 or 6 customers including myself. 3-4 barbers should make short work of 5 or 6 people. But I waited well over an hour because each of them spent more time talking then cutting hair. One old man with barely any hair at all took just as long as a bushy-haired kid. I and the people waiting behind me don't have time for Old Man Jenkins to get his daily gossip. read more

For the past couple of years I have been going to different shops trying to find one I was comfortable with. I went to the Colonial Barber Shop and had my haircut done by Christopher. I was very pleased with the whole experience. He put a lot of effort into the cut and the finished product was very pleasing to me. He was pleasant to talk with during the whole experience. The icing on the cake was the straight razor to clean up my neck. It felt like a nice classical and traditional barber experience.
