The upside is that the shop has gel color that matches regular nail polish colors so one's manicure and pedicure can match. That's a major plus. The shop also does brows. That's great for this area. Janet has a nice looking shop but two ill behaved dogs that tear up magazines, jump on customers with wet nails, and escape from the shop to have other people have to come out and chase them down. On my last visit I actually had to help wrangle a dog in the street with wet toes while the owner did nothing. I got my gel mani redone today again and again she filed down my nails again, ruining their length when I ask her not too. The gel is messily done and looks like plain nail polish. She was hasty, not paying attention and my nails look like I did them at home. I am so disappointed with the job she did. I wanted to support a local business but from now on will go back to either Nefertiti Nails or NGL. The Upper Valley doesn't have many options but this just isn't a good choice.

i have been going to Dr. Lucas for years, but sadly, i will have to find another dermatologist…read more 2 weeks ago i talked to her and the medical esthetician (Mary) about creating a skin regime (now that i'm 30) for me and i left with purchasing $250 worth of serums, creams and sunscreen. after trying all of them, the sunscreen did not work for me. it was like schmearing cream cheese on my face and left me looking like a kabuki character. yesterday, i attempted to return the sunscreen (i had purchased 2 b/c they were on special) and i was not allowed to because i had not had an adverse reaction to the product. the only way you can return products is if you have a reaction to them! i am a hairstylist and i sell people professional products everyday. how would you feel if i sold you some shampoo that you didn't care for and i would not let you return it b/c your hair didn't fall out? that is absurd, especially since professional products are backed by the manufacturer. i cannot support a practice who rips off their patients. PS - the questionable sunscreen is La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 40. its like cream cheese!

When I told Dr. Roberta Lucas about my acne problem she launched into a LONG rant about how pasteurized milk, unfermented soy, and sugar causes acne and "according to her theory" warts. So she told me I could not eat any sugar, dairy or unfermented soy. Before I conformed to this lifestyle changing diet I did my research. None of what she said was based on ANY credible research that I could find. So I went the place SHE told me to look for information which was Weston A. Price Foundation. The Weston A. Price Foundation is headed by a PhD nutritionist (doesn't sound bad) and a woman with a Master's degree in...English. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Wow, I thought someone who had gone through Medical school would know a little bit more about the scientific method and scrutinizing sources of information. I booked an appointment for 930 to have my nails filled I also checked off that I wanted to have my cuticles done have a couple of designs on two of my nails. The gentleman who worked on my nails didn't seem like he really wanted to do them he cut one of my cuticles three times while filing my nails and another one once. He didn't seem like he was in a great mood. I was there for an hour and a half. My cuticles never got done, and I didn't mention it only because I felt like I was the customer who just walked in off the street and didn't really have an appointment. to top it all off my nails look like crap and I'm gonna have to redo them myself after paying $80 for a subpar quality. guess it's time to find another nail salon or just suck it up and do it myself from now on.
