Before picture: Copper tray with bent rim.

I have a 26" copper tray that my parents bought in Iran in the 1970s. The rim had been severely bent during a move. I don't think it had ever been polished. I took it to Colonial Brass to have the rim repaired, the tray polished, and hangers added to the back so it could be hung on a wall. It looks stunning!! My sister has another tray, and she is now eager to have hers restored and polished.

I had one brass candlestick holder (out of four) that had tarnished and wanted to get it refinished to match the others. When I took it to the shop, they recommended I refinish all four so they would all look the same. So, I decided to have all four refinished. WOW! I'm glad I did. Not only did all four refinished candlestick holders look beautiful, they all had a "mirror" finish to them, and they even added a felt bottom to all four. I highly recommend Colonial Brass!

    all metal part replaced

I recommend Colonial Bras 100%. I took my clutch that I have over 30 years. The metal parts were roasted and since it is so special I needed to take it to the best place. It took over three months to get fixed because they could not find the right parts but they never gave up. Finally, I received the call from Mark saying that it is ready for pick up. What a great job... thank you Colonial Bras it looks like new. Totally worth the wait!

My mother who is 75 years old gave me a silverware set that she inherited by her Aunt over 40 years ago. My great aunt received this silverware set as a wedding gift in the early 40's. This set was manufactured by 1847 Roger's Bros and was still housed in the original wooden box. The silverware was severely tarnished. My husband decided to surprise me with the restoration of this set. He took it to Colonial Brass who did an EXCEPTIONAL job restoring this silverware. When I saw it I was speechless with tears in my eyes. This company made each piece look brand new. There are not enough stars available for this company. Amazing job!!!!

Before Colonial Brass started working on this piece...

I got an antique cast iron fireplace surround off of Ebay, just fell in love with the piece. This was an adventure as well as I had to drive from Houston, TX to Pittsburg, PA to pick it up from seller, but it was all worth it. Next was to decide how to approach restoration, at some point I was considering DIY sort of project, but after a more detailed research and a referral I've found out this amazing local shop, Colonial Brass in Houston specializes mostly in brass and such, but when I brought in the cast iron piece and explained what I'm looking for, these guys didn't hesitate to take the project. We've discussed details, and the wait has begun for me. Knowing how busy they are, and not being in a rush myself, 2 months later I called to check on the progress. I was told they have done a couple attempts and got frustrated with the end result and didn't have a plan at this time. I gave them some more time and called back again, Edward asked me to come see what he had done so far. What I've seen was a finished small part of entire piece, and it was beautiful. At that point I could tell the guys are just perfectionists. I've assured the result looks great and Edward took another week or so to complete the entire piece. The end result was astonishing, I totally loved it and it was well worth the wait. Although these guys spent so much effort, they charged only what they have estimated originally, and it was a VERY reasonable estimation to begin with. Thank you Edward, thank you Mark, awesome job well done. They did a good job, you pay well for it, but it's worth it if you have solid brass fixtures to have them

The staff is rude and unprofessional and their service is somehow even worse. We gave them 11 rugs, some curtains, and other things that were damp in our home from a leak in order to restore them. After 3 months of calling them for the return of our items along with a couple of promised but missed appts by them, they finally brought some of our stuff back. Every single rug was damaged or destroyed by them. They admitted to destroying a couple of them but brought the rest of them back in shambles. Most if not all were completely faded and in considerably worse shape than when they left our home. Others had strings coming off of them and frayed endings, while others had holes in them. Another rug had dirt and grass on it somehow when it was unrolled. These were very expensive imported hand crafted rugs that they completely ruined. They are no longer usable. They are now expecting us to pay them for ruining our items and are keeping our rugs as well. Oh and they didn't even bother to show up with the curtains or other items, saying "they are running behind." What does that even mean? That our items are just sitting in a warehouse not being cleaned??? This is the absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with and hope that you take my warning seriously. If you don't want your items destroyed, don't want to be talked to like you're a child or a burden to them, and don't want a huge mess at the end of your already messy situation with the repair of your home, then I would steer clear of this organization. Attached are some before and after photos...STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

After my original post review Dustin Cire the Sales Director called me and was very sincere and wanted to fix my issues. He didn't try BS me, If you have read my previous review you would know I was beyond upset. Not only did he fix it, he offered to delivery my chairs free of charge. He honored the quote I was originally give and said my chairs would be ready the following week. It is nice when a company actually calls and listen to a customer. I took my great great great great grandmother dinning room chairs to them to restore, along with 6 of my own dining rooms chairs. My mom cried when she saw my my great great + grandmother chairs. She had never seen them look like that , only in pictures. The manage to restore them and keep their age. When get something old that means that much to you in a condition you though you would never see is priceless. I had to look around to find a company that was willing to even touch chairs that old. Because did such a beautiful job on 100 year old chairs is the only reason I gave them a 2nd chance. I am glad I did. I will be taking the table to them to restore next. Now I am happy customer. I JUST WANT TO BE VERY CLEAR!!!! I am giving Dustin and the guys who did the restoration on my previous order this review of 5 stars, not the person who I spoke to on phone ON 5/9 who didn't even try to fix the issue.
