I order an arrangement of roses for mom for Mother's Day trough colonial florist website, The flowers that were delivered was a complete different arrangement , so I called the shop and spoke to manager " Ed " not top of the line costumer service btw , every time I was trying to talk on the phone and explain the issue he would talk over me or cut me off on what I was saying then he offers to get the arrangement upgraded to a deluxe and replace same day , well as he said the flower arrangement was delivered and exchanged to another flower arrangement " the one I order" That looks nothing to what there website offers also not upgraded to a deluxe to what I was promised due to the whole mixed up. Never again will use this florist nor would I recommend such a scam of a place. read more

Efficient, friendly service! Needing flowers for Gran's recent 85th birthday, I jumped on Yelp to find recommendations, only to find very little from which to choose for a local florist. Darn! So, with further research of other reviews, I decided upon Colonial Florist on Curry Ford. We were able to place our order on Monday mid-day, with a Tuesday morning delivery (paid an extra $2.00) to ask for am delivery: not bad. My sister reports, "The man placing the order was quite helpful, asking about our budget once he knew which arrangement we were interested in, saying he'd adjust accordingly." All in all, it was an excellent transaction: efficient and friendly. I stopped in to visit Gran and see her flowers the next afternoon. They were quite lovely, and looking much like the picture I had seen online; fresh, fragrant, and beautiful colors. We did pay for an upgrade to a "deluxe" version, and I'm glad we did. Lets start by saying that I had high hopes for this florist. When I called they were very friendly, patient and accomodating. So there was a great start. I ordered flowers on Monday, I picked up on Tuesday (to be given to a high school graduate). They did fulfill my needs for the price range. It seemed bit expensive for the amount of flowers that I got. Initially when I picked up the flowers on Tuesday late afternoon, I was pleased. They had gotten pretty close to what I had invisioned. But now 2 days later the flowers are wilted and dying, I expected them to last much longer for the price. I ordered Flowers on Monday May 20th, Picked up on May 21st, The flowers were gifted on May 22nd......By May 23 these flowers looked like they were a week old. Very disappointing. I gave this company business because I like to patronize local businesses rather that used the online big companies because of the ridiculous service up fees and charges. I even saved them by picking them up myself. I will have to re think my choice when sending flowers in the future with Colonial Florist. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience dealing with Colonial Florist! I called all the way from Chicago to place an order for a birthday arrangement delivery for a friend who is working in Orlando for the week. Yay me- I'm a thoughtful friend. Boo me- I thought of this at 3pm my time, 4pm Florida time. Upon calling Colonial Florist, Ed answered and told me it may not be do-able since his driver had already left to make deliveries in the opposite direction. Plus with traffic and tourists in the area I wanted the flowers delivered to (the Peabody Hotel on I Drive) he said it would be pretty chaotic. Ed then referred me to a couple other florists closer to the hotel (which I thought was very generous) that might be able to help, but followed up by saying, if no one would do it to call him back. I called the other florists only to be curtly dismissed, and dialed good old Ed again. He worked quickly and efficiently with me, the entire time with a great attitude and not making me feel at all like I was a bother or inconvenience even though it was obvious that HE was doing ME the favor by taking my last minute request. The arrangement was delivered promptly and turned out beautiful! I HIGHLY recommend Colonial Florist to ANYONE looking for flowers to be delivered in the Orlando area! If your going to get somebody flowers in the orlando area use this place. I ordered flowers for my wife at midnight and they were hand delivered to her at 2pm. No issues at all. Avoid the big companies that lease there work to somebody local that you cannot trust and have no idea how to put the bouquet together. Most importantly the flowers were beautiful and exactly like the image on the website. They also threw in a box of chocolates for no reason other than class. Needless to say my wife loved it!! Yelp Success! I'm visiting a friend in town who is having a brunch on Sunday, and wanted to get some particularly yellow flowers for decoration. We found this place on our route and because of the Yelp reviews, gave it a shot. We were sorta in search of sunflowers, which at first, we believed they didn't have, so they came out with some gorgeous Gerber Daisies - absolutely beautiful. So, they invited us back into the cooler to pick out which of the daisies we wanted, and we did, but we noticed some sunflowers sitting in a bucket. They were a little old, so they weren't selling them anymore, and some of the petals had fallen off, but we asked if maybe we could get a discount on them if we wanted them. The very sweet young lady who helped us asked her manager, and guess what - they were ours as a gift! I thought they were still beautiful - perfection exists in the eye of the beholder, and I thought these semi-expired sunflowers represented renewal and beauty in transition and decay. So, we got a bunch of the daisies - they wrapped them up beautifully with what I would consider floral frill (I just don't know the names of the side plants they wrap up them in to look nice). They gave us flower food and sent us on our way. I know we got super lucky with the sunflowers, but they treated us so well, had such beautiful flowers, and gave us what I thought was a great price, I felt like I needed to write this quick review. 5 stars all the way - I know my friend who lives here will be back. read more

I like to support family-owned businesses and this one is a true gem! Located on Curryford near Conway road in a strip center, its easy to locate. I called with a last minute request (they were closing in 20 minutes) and the owner said they could do it for me and for me to be there when I could. He threw together a beautiful arrangement of pink roses for a friend, who's dog had passed away just hours before. No "rush" fee - such beautiful flowers. I spoke to Beth who helped me with my order for our very own Colleen B yelp orlando. What a call, I never in my life thought I would have to call a florist in orlando no less for a friend who left us on friday. I am devastated and beth helped ease the pain of my call. Roses were on special and they offered me 2 dozen roses for the price of a dozen. I took it! Beth is putting together a dozen white and a dozen red for colleen b's service which I really appreciate. I stopped in today last minute at 4:45 p.m. for some flowers for my wife for our 2-year anniversary. I didn't expect to find much since it was not long before they closed and a day-of purchase, however they had the perfect flowers, and in fact had a huge selection to choose from. The flowers were fresh, not wilted. They included the care package with them, so they would last even longer than normal.
