My first & only experience with Hoskins Ford was excellent!…read more Last month (November 2025) my wife's 2018 Escape needed a new battery = was dead in the driveway... It would not start with jumper cables. To my surprise, replacing an Escape battery is far more difficult than it should be & definitely not a job for the average 'do it yourselfer'... Whoever designed the Escape, really 'dropped the ball' with the location of the battery! I was looking to pay for a tow truck to drop the car off with a mechanic... Luckily, I found out online that the nearby Hoskins Ford dealership (in Coatesville, PA) offered a mobile repair service. I stopped by on my way home and the Hoskins Service Manager Steve Cooke, and the entire service department were super friendly & accommodating. Steve quoted a fair price for the new battery & the mobile install. The mobile repair price was the same as if I had the car towed to the dealership = win, win!!! The tech, Josh Patrick, pulled up my driveway the following evening with his mobile repair van & replaced the battery (& took the old one with him) in less than 45 minutes. Very impressive, considering it was pitch black (5:00 pm) & the ridiculous number of screws & parts that have to be removed just to access the battery in an Escape. Josh was very professional and answered all of my 'dumb' questions pleasantly & thoroughly = did not make me feel stupid for asking... These guys are great & I highly recommend them... I have found my new auto service center / mobile service center!!! - Jeff Downingtown, PA

liars & thieves ! i…read morewas approved for a car at this dealer , i put down money, transferred my tags & put the car under my insurance policy. upon picking up my vehicle , i received a text telling me my car was sold to someone else. the car had a sold sign in the window with my name on it & somehow it was sold to someone else. the gm lied to me & told me my financing didnt fall thru - called the lender & they told me i was good to go & that the dealership was being sketchy. the rep that helped me with this particular vehicle was nowhere to be found & my deposit & license plate was left with the lot staff! the owner was there & said that he would assist me with getting another vehicle & he would call me when the vehicle was ready - i never received a call! ended up going to another dealer because clearly these guys lack accountability, professionalism, & honesty. from the reviews, they have made good deals in the past with other customers , however this was by far the worst car buying experience for me !

Do NOT Trust This Dealership - Under Investigation for Consumer Fraud…read more Avoid doing business with Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown I turned in my leased Santa Fe here to buy a new car. We negotiated to roll my $4,000 mileage overage into the new loan. Instead of doing it honestly, their finance department inflated the sale price of my new car by over $4,000 to bake in the cost, pocketed the financed money, and failed to pay Hyundai Finance. They then hid my turned-in lease vehicle for two months without returning it, resulting in several harassing phone calls from Hyundai finance asking where my car was. And they had it the whole time. The owner acknowledged they held the funds but failed to resolve it. Because of this contract manipulation and deceptive practices, I have officially filed a formal Consumer Fraud complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection. If you buy a car here, check your contract line by line, or better yet, go somewhere else.

I am amending a recent review that I left. I left McLean's in great stress and went to a different…read moreplace and was told some very bad things. I chose to believe them. Big mistake. I've been going to McLean since he opened and I loved going there and all his staff. They've never failed me. So I'm taking back the bad rating I left and I'm apologizing. And I'm telling you people that McClain is the way to go. He is thorough and he's amazing

Short story is that I paid $160 for a diagnosis, the "Sales Adviser" (how about "service" rather…read morethan "sales") recommended something for $2k that was unnecessary - no thanks - problem not resolved, and wanted another $100 for further diagnosis - no thanks. The long story is engine misfiring, paid $160 for diagnosis. Kink in the vacuum hose (couldn't have taken too long to spot), but "Sales Advisor" recommends I also replace all ignition coils for $2k. What? Huh? Are they bad? They don't know, they only checked one of them and it was fine, but what's $2k, right? No thanks, I'll pass on that "sale". Replaced vacuum hose for another $300. But one cylinder is still misfiring. They want another $100 for further diagnosis. I expected that the $160 (not a cheap diagnosis price) would cover a full diagnosis, not a first pass diagnosis. I declined. I'd rather take my car to a place that does what is agreed upon and doesn't have a "Sales Adviser" who tries to sell me unnecessary things.
