My first & only experience with Hoskins Ford was excellent! Last month (November 2025) my wife's 2018 Escape needed a new battery = was dead in the driveway... It would not start with jumper cables. To my surprise, replacing an Escape battery is far more difficult than it should be & definitely not a job for the average 'do it yourselfer'... Whoever designed the Escape, really 'dropped the ball' with the location of the battery! I was looking to pay for a tow truck to drop the car off with a mechanic... Luckily, I found out online that the nearby Hoskins Ford dealership (in Coatesville, PA) offered a mobile repair service. I stopped by on my way home and the Hoskins Service Manager Steve Cooke, and the entire service department were super friendly & accommodating. Steve quoted a fair price for the new battery & the mobile install. The mobile repair price was the same as if I had the car towed to the dealership = win, win!!! The tech, Josh Patrick, pulled up my driveway the following evening with his mobile repair van & replaced the battery (& took the old one with him) in less than 45 minutes. Very impressive, considering it was pitch black (5:00 pm) & the ridiculous number of screws & parts that have to be removed just to access the battery in an Escape. Josh was very professional and answered all of my 'dumb' questions pleasantly & thoroughly = did not make me feel stupid for asking... These guys are great & I highly recommend them... I only used the parts department to do my own brakes shocks spark plugs oil filters air cleaners and other EZ car/truck stuff. .. The parts department is great . I always got the right part I asked for . They made sure they got it right by checking the vin. Was looking for a low mileage AWD fully loaded vehicle that had air conditioned seats, and under 20,000, and was disappointed at a dealer in Chester Springs. The choice was a 2017 Lincoln MKX with 98000 miles in Chester Springs, or needing to try a dealer in NJ, but Kayla Cosgrove at Brian Hoskins Ford called me early as I was about to head to Jersey, and she said there was a 2016 Lincoln MKX with about 45000 miles for under 20,000, and it has air conditioned seats! Went over there and loved the car. Joe Demarino the manager saw the tires were worn and replaced all 4 at no extra charge. Getting my handicapped tag transferred by Scot Shandler at Brian Hoskins Ford was simple, and easy, and the title came within 2 weeks. Great place to find good car deals and friendly local dealer feeling everywhere on their lot and showroom. Kayla Cosgrove took the time to search inventory and got us a set of wheels my son with autism got excited to ride shotgun beside me at the wheel. Its also fun to drive! read more

Really tired with run around Ford and ford dealer Hoskins Ford are giving me. A month ago my mechanic noted a transmission leak left side half shaft seal. He also gave me TSB 16-0023 where ford acknowledges the have a problem with this seal. I told Hoskins ford which said they were going to charge me a $120 to investigate and it may cost more although they couldn't give me an estimate on what they know is a known defect and what to do about it. Did I mention my car has only 58,000 miles on it. I contacted ford who thought it might be covered since I wasn't too far pass warranty. And to stay in touch with my service rep at Hoskins, who told me that they were still going to charge me 120 to find out what is wrong with their known defect. Contacting ford again they said they were going to add more to my case and keep in touch with service. I have contacted them twice via their web service and have heard nothing. So I contacted ford saying I haven't heard back from Hoskins Ford. And now they aren't responding. So they obviously sell crappy products which they try to make money off their known defects. And as far as customer service, they go mute when you want their defect fix. So quality is job one has gone out the window and customer service went with it. Do not recommend using their services. Brought my 2019 F250 to Brian Hoskins for service. Expected OEM prices, no issue. Authorized the service manager Kevin to perform all scheduled maintenance. He changed the fuel filter, a 30,000 mile task at 18000 miles and charging me $210. Lie to me directly, twice, about the service interval. They were asked on three separate visits to fix the 7 pin trailer connection, this should be corrected under warranty. This issue is still not resolved I was charged for diagnostics. I was treated very rudely for even questioning the charges. Not going back! Very poor Ford representative. New Ford Bronco, maybe not? read more

Bought a new car from them, it was a demo car. I was told they were going to give me money off it since it had a lot of miles on it for a new car. I also received the x-plan. When I came down to the final price sheet, it didn't have the discount for the demo car. The sales manager wasn't going to tell me they weren't giving me the demo car price until I asked about it because i had the x-plan. After taking the car home I noticed the car had multiple scratches and stain in the interior. Also trash was left in the car from the dealers driving it around. Terrible sales experience don't appreciate being lied to. Don't recommend that dealership. read more

Bought a used car from them and just received terrible service, my sales guys was named Michael. Great before I bought the car, then when the sale was made I received very poor service as he had no incentive to give good service after he figured it wouldn't change his commission. They charged me $10 for a temporary plate then forgot to give it to me. I sent the exact amount requested to them by wire and they complained that there bank charged them $20 to accept a wire transfer and wanted me to pay it after the fact... I can go on. Sounds like silly things and yet you would think they would do the basics... they don't! My advice: buy elsewhere, they are a mickey mouse organization only concerned about the immediate sales and commission. read more

Service department is a joke! I can not say enough bad things about this dealerships service Dept. Absolutely horrible. They try to sell you these service plans and I never buy them. Salesman asks why, well, because your service departments are horrible. They keep the vehicle for a much longer time than a private mechanic, they charge insane prices, and they can't seem to get things right. I can't even get them to fix issues on a brand new vehicle let alone honor an extended warranty! I realize I'm just one person but my wife just bought a Ford from another dealership and I'm ordering another truck this year and will certainly be from another dealership! read more

I went in to have my car checked for a vibrating noise. After waiting 90 minutes i was told that it was probably the heat shield and wasn't a problem as they get loose and vibrate. Then he proceeded to tell me I needed brakes all around and my license plate light was out. Brakes all around and bulb = $650. I said I'd have to wait until I got paid. I went immediately to AAA and had my brakes checked. No problem with them passing inspection but I may need them in 10,000 miles depending on my driving habits. read more

Have dealt with Ed & Bob in the sales team for years now. We went in for a used car for our 19 year old son and walked out with a 2012 used Focus and 2 2014's - a Fusion and an Escape (traded a 2010 Escape and 2013 F150). In the process, we lowered our monthly car payments $140 and I suspect significantly dropped our monthly gas expenses. They have always taken very good care of us. Just pulled out of here and was looking at Ford Raptors. Salesman was very uninterested and rude. He first came out and went right back in without saying two words to us. He came out again after another associate coming in saw us and sent him back out. We told him we were interested in a Raptor and wanted to see how they drive. We did mention we saw one we liked in orange somewhere else online but wanted to see how they drive. Without even offering to find us an orange one, he said we could not test drive if we weren't interested in the one on the lot. I called him salesman of the year and we left. Was looking for a 2012 Ford Flex Titanium Ecoboost. Only found 2 in the whole US that fit the options that I wanted. Contacted this dealer about one that they had. They had a Demo model with about 5000 miles for sale. Dealer was very difficult to work with, took days to respond to questions (Buying a car sight unseen there were many questions we had since we couldn't see or test drive car). Finaly gave a fair offer to the dealer based on research and what Kelly Blue Book stated car was worth, and this was the response I got from the general manager: Good Morning. I am the General Manager of this store and when I am asked what my very best number is for a vehicle by someone that lives 2500 miles away, the last thing I would do is give anything but my very best price. You asked how much it would cost to transport the vehicle to California, you asked how much taxes and tag fees would be and you asked if I could include extended warranty coverage to cover the 4000 miles or so that are on the vehicle. I gave you all the information you requested, they are my very best numbers, if they are not acceptable I understand, but please don't make an insulting offer after you asked me for my best price. I thank you for your time and apologize for not sending this sooner; we have been very busy with the Black Friday event and yesterdays Sale. Estamite was very high and I know approximately what the job is worth, told them they were high.They immediately got their backs up. Tried to hold me there by not giving me the key to my car. Employees surfing the internet, service with a grumble--if they could make a worse impression on customers, it would take some creativity. My own story involves taking a rough running '06 F150 taken in for service. Ford has a known issue with spark plugs for that year and model. There are some four class action lawsuits, so the issue is quite real. Basically, the plugs crack when removing. Ford even has a special tool to deal with the issue, which is tantamount to an admitting they have a design problem. My replacement plugs ended up costing $1,000 dollars. Worse, the next day, when the truck STILL ran rough, they cited a new issue (Bank VCT?), and said it was pure coincidence that it broke while they were replacing the spark plugs. That somewhat strains credulity, to say the least. They then proceeded to charge me an additional $650 to repair that! Of course, Ford Corporate, does not get involved in workmanship issues, so I am hosed. I would discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle through Brian Hoskins Ford. read more

This place is an absolute joke! Took my vehicle in for servicing and they wanted to charge me $30 to connect a hose that they unconnected during a servicing for a recall that was issued. The hose was under the dang firewall and they insisted someone else worked on it and unplugged it yet we only had it a year and they are the only ones to work on it! The internet sales manager Mike is a joke as well. Sold my dad a lemon. Spoke to someone at the dealership and they assured me my dad qualified for a brand new escape yet when we got to the dealership they had a 2013 model sitting there with none of the features he wanted. They told him he couldnt get the new car and that he didnt qualify for their sale they had going on either. My poor dad bought the car because he needed one and every since it has constantly been in for repairs. I will never go to this place again. They are as shady as a used car salesman! read more

Went to this dealership looking for a vehicle to pull a recently acquired camper. Searched the internet and found a vehicle that we liked at this dealership. Drove to the dealership, looked at vehicle and decided it fit what we needed - except that it wasn't what we thought or led to believe. We advised the salesman that we needed a 4WD. The salesman didn't say it wasn't, but didn't confirm that it was either. Once we realized, after we purchased it (silly us for not thoroughly checking) that it was not the vehicle we expected we did further research to find the vehicle was way overpriced for a 2WD. As it stands right now, the dealership made out richly, to the tune of about $7000 at our expense. Tried calling to discuss; no return calls. When we first went it not the showroom, the manager stated "its all about relationship building." Yep until after the signatures are in place. Steer clear! read more

As far as the service guy kevin goes he took care of everything the best he could in my opinion. As far as fixing my truck totally after already "fixing the problem" numerous times (which was paint related) the manager blew me off for 3 months after his bodyshop guy decided not to show up for a meeting. Drove an hour and a half away to purchase unseen what I thought was a brand new ford. When I arrived, the salesman who new I was coming a day in advance showed me the truck. I couldn't believe it. It looked like somebody drove it through a corn field, absolutely filthy. The interior wasn't any better, mud & dirt on the carpet with no floor mats, scratches in the bed, a 120 miles on odo and the new car smell was non existent. I asked for the earliest service possible today- I was given a 7:30am appointment and told them I'd drop my car the night before so it'd be ready for them ASAP. At 10:00 I was told my car was just being taken back. When I questioned the time (I was told by person setting up appointment it would only take 30 minutes) I was told by the rude and demeaning woman who called that if you "drop" your car they have the day to complete it. She also argued with me about what I was told two weeks ago for the service department (they said I had 30 days to return to pass emissions) and she said I had to pay for everything again, which wasn't true. I never received a call that my car was ready and I didn't want to deal with the "customer service" woman again so after 1pm I had my husband call and my car had been sitting ready. I'll NEVER do service here again. They already lost my husband's business, but since we are local I continued to use them. I love my Edge, so I'll stick with Ford, but I'll go back to Sloan in Downingtown, where I got my first Edge and they were never rude. read more

I'm not sure why the ratings for Brian Hoskins are so low on Yelp. Every time I've been here the staff have been friendly and helpful. When I bought the car I didn't feel pressured and the sales guy was very helpful. When the car has been in for service I've never felt like anyone tries to sell me things I don't need. Once they needed to keep my car longer than expected so they gave me a loaner for free. Sometimes getting a service appointment can be tough but I figure it's a good thing they are busy and people want to use their services. I've had a great experience working with this dealership to get my car. The salesman, Brian, was very friendly and approachable. I bought my first car ever here and felt like I was treated fairly and with respect. I've looked around at other dealerships for different makes before choosing my ford, and none of them were as genuine. There was an issue with the car I ordered, as I got a focus ST which I can assume aren't ordered fairly often. The issue was that my order was placed and ford accepted it, then a few days later said they moved on to the next year model and couldn't produce the car I wanted. This is not the dealerships fault, however, I simply thought it was worth mentioning because they worked with me to find me a car. I had to compromise on the color only because I wanted a painstakingly specific set of options, so there was a slim chance of ever finding the exact car I was going to order. Everything I wanted is the same except the color of the vehicle. This isn't a large deal to me, and was an issue with ford rather than the dealership, so I won't be deducting any stars for it.
