We went for a birthday dinner that included over 6 or more and the food and service were great!

You just don't come across hometown gems like this very often. Delicious steaks served up just the way you like them.

No silverware? It's all been stolen. Slow. Service not so great and it's in a scary neighborhood. Doubt we will be back, but owners are wonderful folks. read more

Cool ambiance, friendly service and decent food, though the price is a bit high for what you are getting. It is a good choice in this town,as it seemed that most other places didn't interest me or were a chain that I could get at my home in Orlando, Florida. They're not many places in pine bluff Arkansas to go that are not chains. So we were happy to find this place. It's in an old house downtown and of course specializes in steaks. My mom and I ordered the filet and split it and it was excellent. My dad ordered shrimp and grits and wasn't impressed. But why would you order shrimp and grits at a steak place? I guess that's just me. We started out with these crab wonton things called cotton something and they were fantastic. I would definitely go back here again when coming through pine bluff. My only complaint was that even though the wait staff wore masks our waitress kept pulling hers down to talk to us. That's kind of the opposite of what you should be doing.. read more

Neat place with very friendly staff. Old fashion steak house. The 16 oz House Special Sirloin was moist and flavorful but the 16 oz Tbone was cut too thin and even med rare was dry as a result but still flavorful. Both steaks cooked as we requested. Sweet potato was huge but roasted in foil so a bit watery as a result. All in all a good experience but will try ribeye next time. PS For those of us who drive electric, there is a new charger infront of the Arts and Science Center half a block away. Free museum. Unfortunately we arrived after museum closed so I can't review it. Im a long-term business traveler and have eaten in any restaurants, I found the Colonial Streak House a real gem. Ordered the New York Strip and it was excellent. Three of us went here last night for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Our server was a peach and did a great job giving us an overview of the menu, as we were unsure what to try given it was our first visit. We got adult beverages (Relaxers-- very tasty) and two different appetizers (Cotton blossoms, which were like cream cheese wontons with a sweet sauce on the side that tasted very much like apple pie filling. I would give it an A+. We also got the shrimp skewer. It was great as well). Next, we ordered a NY strip and two ribeyes. All 3 were cooked to perfected. Sides were delicious. I appreciated the fact they had all guests wear gloves and masks at the salad bar. I would highly recommend you come for a visit if you are passing by. Wanna eat at the best restaurant in Pine Bluff? Look no further than the Colonial Steakhouse. Skip the chains, skip the fast food. Come straight here for a fabulous meal. I'm serious. For atmosphere, Colonial gets props. The building is a former school built about 100 years ago or so. It's lovely and old and comes with its own ghost (of course!) ... Old furnishings, nothing fancy but absolutely suits the property. You definitely have a sense of something special here. And the people are super friendly. Hands down excellent service. You won't be disappointed in that regard. For food, we started with some yummy crab cakes. Nice and crispy on the outside, moist and delicious on the inside. And the shrimp skewer was great as well. It had this Hawaiian glaze of some kind on it, a touch spicy, but not overly so and very tasty. The shrimp and grits were excellent. The shrimp had a wood grilled taste to them and were seasoned extremely well. The grits were a different style for me, with a drier texture, no gravy and not covered in cheese. They were sweet corn grits and I liked them very much! French fries were the amazing hand cut style, which are my absolute faves. Perfectly addicting! Lemon ice box pie was very good as well. Both tart and sweet and the perfect way to end the meal. You gotta come here, whether you're local or visiting. Next time I'm in Pine Bluff, I'm definitely coming back. read more

Im in town for work. There is not much in Pine Bluff but I had a perfectly lovely meal and a glass of wine. I don't eat meat so I had fish, sides and salad bar. They have a lot of space and I think the old school decor is something different and a nice unique experience. The staff is SUPER responsive constantly checking to see of you need anything. read more

Had not eaten here in over 20 years. The food is still good. We started with the cotton blossom which is fried won tons stuffed with a generous amount of cream cheese. My husband had the filet. It was very tender and flavorful. I had the stuffed flounder which was stuffed with a variety of seafood and stuffing. Overall a good experience. Waitress was very attentive and COvid protocols were being followed. read more

This is a good steakhouse in Pine Bluff. This restaurant has a lot of history. The owners are great people. I went here on a Wednesday night with coworkers. The ambience is like stepping into a 1960s decor house. I had blackened tilapia with a baked potato. All meals come with salad bar and garlic bread. The salad bar is disappointing. Iceberg lettuce. The French dressing was clumpy ! I chose Italian dressing and it was ok. There are some fresh veggies on the salad bar including green peppers and cucumbers. My tilapia was alright. The blackened spices had a good flavor. The baked potato was cooked to perfection ! I had the double layer cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was Devine! A coworker of mine got the prime rib! Huge huge portion ! The prime rib is nearly 2 inches thick! They serve there soda options in a can !!!! read more

Colonial Steak House is THE place to get a great steak in the Pine Bluff area. The service is always top notch. Their side items are delicious (try the au gratin potatoes). And their deserts are made fresh in house daily. As for their steaks, I can cook a killer ribeye on my grill at home but i can't beat the flavor of the Colonial's rideye. Owner visits the tables to check on things. Tried the black-bottom pie for dessert. Poorly presented, a firm crust would have helped. Tasted okay but too sweet for my taste. Easy on-site parking. My Brother and I went to Dinner at the Colonial Steakhouse in Pine Bluff. From the time we went in the front door we were treated so well we felt like we was regular customers. Angel in the front was great. The food was superb.we had a ribeye that was cooked perfect and all the sides were great also. Come hungry because you get plenty of food. A great dining experience. Looking for a steak, we found Colonial Steak House on Yelp and decided to try it. We appreciated the historic building as we drove up, and found easy parking. When we entered Colonial Steak House, and received friendly greetings from several staff members. And it only got better from there. True southern hospitality and graciousness - from the host, to the wait-staff, to the owner - Dana - who visited all the tables in the restaurant multiple times during our meal to make sure everything was just right. At the server's suggestion, we tried Cotton Blossoms (sort of a crab rangoon with crab and cream cheese in a crispy blossom) with a delicious apricot sauce for dipping, stuffed crabs with a lightly seasoned stuffing, and a grilled shrimp skewer. All were pronounced excellent! The salad bar was very fresh and good, with crunchy iceberg lettuce and a good variety of toppings including some house-made bacon crumbles that were to die for. For dinner, we each ordered the T-bones. All were delivered cooked medium to medium rare as ordered. They were very tender and flavorful, and seasoned just right. The sides we ordered included asparagus, sautéed onions,mushrooms, and green peppers, and baked potato. All were prepared and seasoned perfectly by the experienced kitchen team. Lastly, we tried a pair of desserts developed by a French pastry chef. The two-layer French cheesecake was light, creamy, and decadent without being overly sweet. And the rum-infused "Black Bottom" pie was wonderful, a homemade cream pie with a cocoa-ey crumb crust and house-made whipped cream on top. We highly recommend visiting Colonial Steak House if you are in or near Pine Bluff to enjoy great local hospitality and a wonderful meal experience. read more

I was excited to try the "best steakhouse" in Pine Bluff, but realized quickly that it probably wasn't going to meet my expectations once I walked in the door. The decor was horrible and the walls had peeling paint. I felt sorry for the waitstaff as they were made to wear really ugly black scrub-type outfits that were ill fitting and they had to push the food out on a rickety cart over the carpeted floor. We waited for over an hour for our meals. The food was as out-dated as the decor. Who serves gigantic baked potatoes in foil besides your mother? They do. The salad bar was scary...another old-fashioned practice from the 80's. The food was super expensive and I felt for the long wait that we should have at least been offered a free dessert. read more

The service was great and the food was not bad. I think their food could of been better. One this I'm more concerned about is that the restaurant can be remodeled. It smells a little old and dusty. The service was horrible. It took over an hour to get a steak that was well done, not rare as ordered. Looked like they drizzled the plate with blood to make it look rare. Never got a chance to tell the waitress. She disappeared for another hour. The other waitresses spent a lot of time speaking with what had to be regulars. New business is not what they are looking for. So if you are white and over the age of 50, then this is the place your looking for. read more
