First time visiting this fun, interactive museum with my 13 year old daughter. There are tons of great photo opportunities and I like they have cameras in different spots including the ceiling and you can download those pictures for free. There's a room where you can smell different things, an interactive room where you draw, a music room with instruments, headphones with music and a disco dancing room. Our favorite room was the ball pit with a slide. And we enjoyed all the different treats like candy, fortune cookie and ice cream. We had wonderful experience and I highly recommend visiting. We spent about 1.5hrs there.

This is quite possibly a fun experience, for a 10 year old! I came here with my friend not too long ago. It had a whimsical interior and a few interactive experiences. One of my favorite part of the exhibit was the ball pit. I've noticed that there were some food themed experiences, yet it was limited to candy and a fortune cookie. To make this exhibit more enjoyable for the adults, I'd highly recommend putting in alcoholic drink options or an adult themed room.

We had a fabulous time at the Color Factory in NYC. Color Factory is an interactive museum and every room is informative or an activity. I love that they have a coach check so you don't have to carry your coats around the experience. Another plus is you can move throughout the experience at your own pace. My favorite rooms were the confetti, silent and birthday room. They also offer gelato and ice cream. I love the wrist bands you get to take pictures during the tour.

I went during an NY school break with two kids under 6. My overall read is that this immersive experience was unique but would have been better with slightly older kids [who can read and who might care more about fun photos]. We got through in about an hour. We had a ticket around 10:30am. The space was very clean, and the pace of movement was pretty good. It never felt overwhelming. The process with the QR code is a little odd at first, but once you get the hang of it, you figure out how to scan and then get in place for photos. Some cameras take multiple burst photos, which are turned into gifs. Printing at the end is crazy expensive, but you can get all the pics emailed to you for free. The ball pit was a little challenging for my younger kids (too deep), but the slide was fun. I'm glad we did it but would wait for an older group if we go again.

Came twice to this place. Once during spring break with my son and then in the fall for their event. Both times were during weekdays. It wasn't crowded either time. Both times the staff was friendly and def made sure we fully enjoyed each room. Lots of free little goodies and the ball pit at the end is so much fun. Would def return again

I planned a four day trip to NYC with my adult daughter and my 10 year old grand daughter. The grand requested going here, based on a search she did. I was skeptical, but I do have to say it was a highlight for her. I think ten years old is the perfect age to enjoy this place, wither perhaps a wider range of 5 to 15 years old, as reasonable. It was very well thought out and you go from room to room where there are different activities and concepts, all based on color. It's a clever concept. Also, there are some snack stations that included salt water taffy, different flavors of fortune cookies, and ice cream. This place is exceedingly interactive, so it's gonna be fun and stimulating for kids. Adults won't be bored either, so I was impressed they were able to keep adults engaged too. The staff was plentiful, friendly, and helpful. They guided you through each room, so that you didn't have to figure out what it was all about. My ten year old was thrilled with the experience. I think there recommended time of 1.5 to 2 hours is spot on, and I'd be surprised if you did it in less time than that, and probably not more than that either.

I think this place is great if you're looking to be distracted for a couple of hours with kids in tow. I can't see anyone spending any more than 1-2 hours tops here but I still enjoyed my visit as they did a great job of making this a great experience for photographs and people who love taking selfies. The experiences are organized into different rooms that you can only move ahead to and not back into, which is helpful in terms of managing crowd control and keeping it not too crowded which is nice. Some of the rooms are more exceptional than others, my favorite was the obvious giant ball pit and also the funky disco ball room. This is a great place if you're looking to encourage children to really embrace visually nice and sensory experiences that tickle their senses. Keep in mind, there aren't a lot of rooms so just be mindful that you don't rush into the next section too quickly. By the time you get to the ball pit, you're pretty much done, so obviously don't plow through if you want to get your money's worth. Take your time and soak it in. The lines were not that long and parking in the morning was pretty easy to find on the streets.

Came here this morning and man!!!! I love this place. It had everything I liked and wanted. They only do a certain amount of people for each group and it's based on time of day. They have coat and bag check included with your visit. You can't move backwards once you leave a room. You get photos with your entrance and it's sent to you via email. You get some free treats and takeaways so it's very cute. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean for the most part. FYI there is one room that requires you to be in pairs so plan for that. The gift shop was pretty pricey but I assumed that.

It was far better than I expected!! It was fun and educative. Kids loved confetti room and we ended up printing out a lot of pics! Gift shop has many cute items too.

I had a blast coming here with my best friend! I was born in NYC but grew up in NJ for the most part so I am often finding myself over in the city, trying to explore different things. The color factory was on the top of my bucket list for museums to try out and it did not disappoint! The aesthetics were so cute and there were a ton of little photo opportunities. The day I went was pretty chill so not too many people were there. There are also some interactive components that are cool such as drawing a buddy while they draw you! The only real qualms I have with the place is that it is a bit small for the price AND, the food you receive was not as interesting as I was expecting. But nevertheless, it was a really cute place to hang out with my friend and take a lot of cute pictures.

Inside the confetti room where you scan your personal QR code to take pics ! Have fun throw the confetti baby !

First time here and I will definitely make sure to visit again when back in the city! Such a fun experience on a rainy day , made you feel like a kid again , absolutely 5 stars !!! The ticket included sweet treats like fortune cookies , taffy and gelato and a cool souvenir to take home. Each ticket included a QR code to get your digital pictures emailed to you after you finish. This was so much fun !!! Great for all ages .

The Color Factory is a exhibit featuring several rooms designed to help you interact with colors using nearly all of your senses: you'll taste jelly beans, ice cream, and macarons; you'll listen to music and dance on a giant golden disco floor; you'll look at a partner and color different features about her/him; you'll smell scents representing different colors; and you'll play in a colorful ball pit at the very end. It's a fun experience and good for an hour or so of entertainment, and there are some good photo opps (though unfortunately, the QR code cameras they have set up don't exactly crop the photos how you see them on the screen when you're posing for them -- we learned the hard way when we got our photos back and my head was cut off from about half of them). The price tag is a bit steep in my opinion, and I don't think there's enough to make me go back, but it's worth trying once if you're looking for something new to do or want some fun pics for social media.

*Interactive experience with multiple flash cameras rooms and free digital photos! At first I was hesitant why it's ~55 dollars per person, but they do have multiple rooms with different backdrops for photos. So I would say it's very worth it. Upon entering, you will get a bar code where you can scan it and take photos at each designated camera location. The digital photos are free and can be downloaded. However, you can also print hard copies at the very end of the experience in case you want some for memory or for photo album. We ended up getting the photo package which includes 5 hard copies for extra $23. They also give you candies and macaroon along the way(one per person).

So it was good timing that I suggested to Jamie W that we visit the reopened Frick mansion in all its Gilded Age glory. What we appreciated was how the art was presented like it would in a private residence rather than a museum. The Beaux-Arts mansion was built in 1914 for industrialist Henry Clay Frick, and it turned into a museum in 1935 to preserve his vast art collection. We were lined up on the sidewalk for our timed 11AM entry. Once inside, we were struck by the refurbished Garden Court with its light-filled curvilinear ceiling and limestone interior (Photo 5). The permanent collection is presented in a series of rooms furnished with fine pieces of decorative art. The European paintings span between the 14th and 19th centuries covering the Dutch Golden Age, the Italian Renaissance, the Spanish masters (like the Prado). French Rococo and Impressionism, and most significantly, British Portrature and Landscapes. In fact, there was a special exhibition of British artist Thomas Gainsborough's works focused on 18th-century fashion through portraiture. Admission for non-members is $30 and well worth it. During my visit, they were running the Maestros and the Machines themed experience. Overall, it was just okay. There were definitely more rooms than I had expected, which was a nice surprise, but I wouldn't say the experience was worth the price. I was lucky to get the bogo deal which made it more worth it. There were a couple of highlights like the ball pit and especially the room with the sand like mateial. Those moments really brought out the child in myself. Unfortunately, a lot of the other rooms felt underwhelming. The 4D room, didn't live up to its expectation. Another downside was the lack of staff engagement. It didn't seem like they were paying much attention or enforcing any of the rules. For example, visitors were supposed to wear shoe covers in certain areas, but many people didn't and the staff didn't seem to care at all. Overall, it had a few fun moments, but I left feeling like it didn't quite live up to the hype.

A treasure of humanity…read more As a long time admirer of Frank Lloyd Wright, being at the magnum opus of this amazing architect was amazing. And as well, an absolutely great tour by one of the docents in the staff, Drew, telling us about the building, construction and behind the scenes developments that made the Guggenheim a reality. Two months ago, on a vacation to Scottsdale, we visited Taliesin West, FLW'a Western studio, where the blueprints and the genesis designs for the Guggenheim are on display. What an amazing sight. And now that I'm inside of this monument to humanity, it comes full circle. More Picassos, Cezannes and Van Gohs than you can count. Modern art everywhere. A design that leads you into infinity. Just an admirable, beautiful space.

It was after hours and they offered drinks (open bar with wine and all), however I stuck to water. We were able to walk around the entire museum (but cannot drink water with you upstairs!). All drinks stayed on the ground floor. They were very strict with that! Of course I loved the classics, they had a few pieces of Gaugan, Picasso, Monet. Not a lot though. But the centerpiece were sculptures by Carol Bove, they even had a room where the artist wanted you to touch and feel how she designed her pieces. Overall very nice experience after hours is always the way to go without the crowds. And always love the design of this museum.

‼IF YOU ARE NEURODIVERGENT READ THIS‼ I went with my husband…read moreon a Monday, and it was a lot of fun! We got the Lovers Tickets which was ~$145 for both of us together. This package included access to all of the shows and exhibits, along with a free go at each game which was actually really cool! Not to mention we each got a free cocktail and a gift bag with some sexy goodies to share. We really liked the history exhibit, and the art gallery. The games were pretty fun too! There IS a spinning stripper pole you can dance on in the bar, so if you wanna give it a go maybe wear shorts, because I wore a dress so I wasn't able to do a lot on it unfortunately but it was still fun! IT IS LOUD!! If you have sensory issues I recommend bringing ear plugs, I'm happy I had mine with me. The music is super loud and sometimes overlapping between rooms. There are also multiple exhibits with flashing lights. The Tunnel of Love is a "4D Orgy" that "nuts" on you - which is just some water mist that sprays on your face, feet and neck a few times. I personally did not like that part, but if you cover your lower face with your hands it blocks it. You don't get wet, it's just not my favorite sensory experience. The kissing game was interesting, this one has you and your partner grab some metal bars and you have to kiss for a minute straight to win a "coupon" that you get to use on each other later. FAIR WARNING - this game sends electricity between you as you kiss since you are both grabbing the bars, this doesn't hurt you and you don't feel it, but it makes your mouths taste like METAL. We were both so concerned that we had a health problem at first but thankfully my hubby is an electrician and connected the dots really quickly. Overall a super fun day! The Monday crowd was super chill and minimal. The only thing I think that would make it better is if the staff could do a better job explaining what sensory experience you might have during each game, because it was overwhelming and sometimes uncomfortable. But I think if you come prepared with ear plugs, hand sanitizer (they do have pumps but I bring my own), and shorts under your skirt/dress, then it will be a fantastic time! Be very open minded and enjoy!
