Love going into this nail salon Tom the owner does a fabulous job with my nails. The pedicures come with wax, massage and they give you a free water bottle. I usually don't schedule an appointment and have pretty good luck just getting in. There are times where they are really busy since they do such a fabulous job I would recommend scheduling an appointment. I've seen previous reviews and know they usually don't ask how you want your nails cut so the first time you go you should tell them round or square. I came in for a gel polish this morning. The man took me right away but rushed through the entire service and was watching the price is right while he painted my nails. The polish job was sloppy with indents on my nails and color all over my cuticles. I got a light color, and i know that it is harder to make look nice but it's never looked this bad. My guess is that it will start peeling from my cuticles in a few days when it should last 2 weeks. Not to mention the place looks run down and kind of dirty. I came to Color Nails one time and I will NEVER go back. I went in because one of my nails broke and my regular person was out of town. The first thing he did was use a drill on my nail bed which is against the cosmetology rules. Then, the whole time he was fixing my nail he kept saying "Oh your nails no look good, you come to me,I fix and make o.k." This was a bunch of bull$#@& because I had an excellent nail person. This had been my favorite place, for years now. Very clean and they use individual pumice stones and files (not disinfected, reusable ones. Went here after reading the reviews and since I was looking for a new salon, I decided to give it a try. My first warning should have been how filthy the place was upon entering. I ignored the desire to run out the door and proceeded with the fill I needed. Long story short....the guy tried to use dirty tools on me, the nails were uneven with acrylic and polish on my skin, and he cut me and tried to grab my bleeding finger with his bare hand. They barley barley barley speak english or understand you, (normal). & i was supposed to get shelliac on my nails too but they got too many walk ins & not enough workers so they wouldn't take me. Wow! Best $20 Pedicure I have ever had! My mom, myself, and my 10 year old daughter popped in today and were very happy with their service! They have great massage chairs and they take their time! Our pedicures were easily over an hour and it included a leg/foot scrub and the hot wax treatment! Its easily a $35 pedicure anywhere else, and highly doubt they do this good! They had a "little girl" pedicure which was $15 and they did pretty much everything the adults get (minus the scrub) and included a flower design. I usually pay $10 for them just to paint her toes! I didn't really have a "place" where I would for pedicures, usually just the first salon I came across but now I will go out of my way to make it here for their pedis! Make sure to make an appt! I called at 9 and was lucky to get in for all 3 of us at 10. The place is pretty busy with what I assume were regulars since everyone seemed to know each other by name. For the money, the pedicures can't be beat. For my needs there is no language issue...just understand "short". I don't want a conversation, just a pedi. The ambience may not be luxury but the service is. Because they do have a walk in business occasionally there is a logistical issue..such as trying to fit someone in when they really should just say come back in an hour......but again..consider the value. I really get frustrated with reviews from people who will pay no more than twenty dollars but demand the bells and whistles of a fifty dollar pedi. It was my first time going, and so I called for an appointment and asked for 4:30 pm, but the man said he couldn't do 4:30 and to come in at 5 pm, I asked if 4 pm was okay and he said yes. As far as nail salons in Lodi go-- everyone in town knows that the ambiance in Finshing Touch or Robert & Lisa Nails are the best. However-- that's what you pay for at those places, it isn't the best quality work! Color Nails has-- by far-- the best manicure and pedicure services in town. The technicians are friendly, take their time and do a great job. The salon is clean, the pedicure chairs are comfortable and have awesome massage settings that aren't too wiggly or wild and the prices are average. Plus, they massage your arms and legs so nicely! Wow!! First of all, the mood of the place is very relaxed, soothing and happy. The ladies are all extremely friendly, soft-spoken and attentive. That's a huge change from other places I've been recently. Secondly, they have beautiful Christmas music softly playing and festive decorations everywhere. I went here a few years ago. Hopefully things have changed. I asked for a full set of acrylics with no tips. the lady convinced me to use tips on MOST of my fingers. I insisted on straight acrylics for my pointer fingers because experience has shown me my nail bed is too flat and tips make them feel pinched. She literally could not do a straight acrylic.
