Okay wow, LOVE HER!!! Tabitha is seriously the best. Let me just point is out really quickly.. I AM PSYCHO ABOUT MY HAIR! ! ! I am like the pickiest/freakiest/stubborn/most crazy girl about my hair and who touches it. I'm originally from New York where I went to the same person for literally 22 years lol so when I came down to Orlando I went through a million and one Yelp searches, facebook reviews, etc. to find someone who i felt I could trust with my hair. I only wanted a highlight, so it shouldn't even be a big deal and I shouldn't have been totally freaking out over it but again I am so picky and I wanted to pick someone who I would establish to be my new stylist for the next however many years I'm here. This was a really last minute appointment.. I had a wedding to go to on December 12th and I probably called her like.. mid first week of December. She was super booked out and I was worried but I stayed persistent because I reallyyyy really wanted to get in to see her and no one else. She was great. She let me text her (and by text her I mean blow her up about her availability) and I know she did me a HUGE favor by getting me in. She got me in Thursday night at 7:30. I'm pretty sure she closes at 7pm so she obviously went out of her way for me. Now for the service she provided.. like really? Just go to her because she's awesome. You can talk, talk, talk, talk with her and never get bored with it. She's suuuuper friendly and HONEST about your hair and what your expectations should be, ALSO about what you need to be consistently doing to manage upkeep and health of your hair. I'm a blonde and i've always been a blonde, always wanting to stay REALLY blonde. She had amazing suggestions, awesome TLC for my hair, and overall it was really a great experience. My mom went to see Tabatha for a simple "Bob" type of cut with a slight point in the middle. I went with. At first, Tabatha seemed very nice and took the time to understand what my mom wanted. She illustrated the type of cut she wanted and thought Tabatha understood. As it turns out, Tabatha did not. She cut my mom's hair two inches shorter than she asked for, she chunked my mom's hair so badly, and she couldn't even cut her hair straight. The cut was absolutely NOTHING like what my mom asked for. I don't understand how she has such high ratings because Tabatha didn't listen at all and couldn't understand how to give my mom a simple cut. My mom was so upset with the cut that she was in tears. She can't put all of her hair into a ponytail. She told Tabatha multiple times that she wants to be able to pull her hair into a ponytail. Tabatha was not capable of listening. read more

While going to UCF, I had the constant struggle of trying to find a colorist who would do a good job without destroying my hair or paying through the roof. I've since moved away, but to this day Tabatha was the best hairdresser I've ever seen. I have natural brown hair that has been turned bleach blonde. She does a great job of bringing my roots up to an exact match of the rest of my hair. She tones the hair perfectly so I always leave with an icy shade. First off ignore the Hema "person". They posted on Tabitha's page and another one at the same time. The scammer does not reflect her work at ALL! Now onto the review. I stumbled upon Tabitha through Groupon. It had been months since I had a haircut and color. Let's just say my hair was protesting for some TLC. Since it was a Groupon, I turned to Yelp to go through the many options and decided to give her a try. I'm so very glad that I did. The salon is in a really cool spot where a lot of other professionals have little spots and all work in the building. It was nicer than a salon IMO. She has the cutest spot. Like most girls I came prepared with the pictures of haircuts and had a small idea of what I wanted my hair to look like. Truth be told I'm not a hair person. Tabitha was very professional and did a through consultation. I got the full highlight, haircut, and conditioning treatment Groupon. She was very personable and my hair turned out amazing! When it comes to hair salons, I am very picky. I do not just trust anyone to do my hair, I have learned that from my past of awful hair dyes and cuts. But Tabatha is amazing! She sends you coupons, is always having specials and deals, and she does such a great job. If you have questions about anything she explains it in detail. I love my hair and I will definitely be going back. I like the fact that its just her in her own mini salon, it allows her to give you all the attention you and your hair needs. After the deep conditioning, my hair has never felt softer. Like other Yelp reviewers, I came across Color Splash Salon on Groupon. I'm a bit of a crazy (as many girls are) about trusting someone with my hair when it comes to color so I did quite a bit of research and settled on this place. I called Tabitha to schedule an appointment; she was very friendly over the phone and very flexible with scheduling. I arrived with some pictures of highlights that I liked and we talked things over a bit. She in no way pressured me into purchasing anything beyond what I was there for. That's my pet peeve with most salons. You go for a haircut and they want you to purchase special deep conditioning treatments and 5 bottles of product before leaving. Her salon was adorable, welcoming and very clean. She was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She actually told me ways to save on hair products and treatments and encouraged me to spread out my appointments to save money. My highlights turned out beautiful, as did my haircut and then she did the impossible. She curled my fine, slick hair into perfect curls that stayed for 2 days!! I can't get curls to hold for 2 minutes so she had me sold. I was actually told by a salon professional that my hair just couldn't be curled. Well Tabitha did it and she recommended tools for me to buy online (at no profit to herself) to allow me to recreate the look. Now I'm styling beautiful curls on a regular basis. I'm a simple person who does not want hair washed, dried, curled when I get a haircut... a simple cut or trim the ends and I'm outta there. As background, I own a hairdryer and curling iron that only guests usually use, and I had not gotten my hair cut for more than a year, because I was waiting for the right stylist to appear. BUT today I saw Tabatha for a cut, highlights, and she also put a Moroccan oil treatment on my hair as well as styled it. She took a lot of time to discuss my needs and desires, and my comfort zone as far as haircut goes. I went all out (for me) even though I spend about 2 minutes on my hair every morning. She is very personable and caring. She really takes her clients' hair happiness seriously. I definitely would go back and see her again, and perhaps be inspired to go more than once a year to get my hair cut. In fact, I may break out the curling iron and hair dryer again to recreate the wonderful do she did for me. Definitely stop in and see Tabatha if you are in the Waterford Lakes area. Her personal salon was in a specially-designed office where there are about 25 small salons total with their own stylists and doors.. great concept for those who are quality stylists and can attract clients.
